The two gentlemen are, of course, english, though i do not know whether they wear military uniforms (possible, but could as well be some kind of museum's uniform..:06:). I am not exactly sure where this scene takes place.

Catfish
02-25-15, 02:16 PM
Yep, that is it !

The restored wheel is now in the Imperial War Museum Duxford, i think the photo was taken there.

The triplane was planned by Villehad Henrik Forssman and maybe Anthony Fokker, but it was not completed before the end of the war, though airframe and wings were. When the L59 Zeppelin had covered a journey until south of Karthoum and back, and thus proven the US coast could be reached by an airship, the "heavier-than-air" engineers did not want to stand back. The Zeppelin Staaken type R 'giant planes' had already the size of the Forssmann triplane, but not the range.
Wings and frame can be seen here, along with some more info.: https://ortus.rtu.lv/science/lv/publications/7345/fulltext

The plane has a short appearance in the Indiana Jones mini series title "Attack of the hawkmen" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3p1JIdxSpxU,
where it is instantly destroyed by a hydrogen gas explosion.

Clue recap:

1. This house is in Southern California, but not in L.A.
2. It is infamous in it's own right, but when featured in "documentary type" TV shows (Not reality TV show/s) it's "occupants", who are no longer living, are the stars. If you believe in them.
Hint: "Haunted"

Don't give up, you are almost there.

[QUOTE=Aktungbby;2292957]antiaircraft elevation guage ie or sight for 20MM oerlikon? I'm a little confused here on which is which. [/QUOT

The gauge, is for a weapon smaller than 20mm and has nothing to do with it's sights or elevation.

Hint 6: The weapon, that requires this gauge to function properly, has been used in the anti-aircraft role, on the ground and in the air.

@ Harvs I recommend using photo bucket or any other photo sharing site.
You can upload your mystery picture there. Make sure to edit it and have your original safe on your OC (so someone can't simply look at your image sharing sites profile and thus be able to find the original)

That is one method you could also link other ways but be careful of linking again you don't want someone to reverse your link and find the original. Also rename any file. You don't want a file that says F\A-18 for your obscure F/A-18 picture.

How to link below is a photo of a challenge I posted previously if you click the link you'll go to the site and with image linking you want the URL option. On photobucket you click the chain link deal and its the bottom. This differs slightly from site to site.

There are other methods but I recommend using a photo sharing site as it is the easiest way to keep your pictures ordered. Also the URL method of posting is how you best get a well formatted picture in your post.
