Von T was born in Poland but it looks good. Especially with the crease in the eyelids and arching brows. I knew I'd seen that face somewhere....:hmmm: the man shoulda stuck to beard contests; his concept of catchup naval warfare against the established Royal navy cost the Kaiser (Jutland) his "place in the sun"; and the Fuhrer ("at sea I am a coward")the World wars and ruined the 20th century for everyone else.

This prompted Australian radio station 2SER-FM to conduct an experiment in which they played a continuous loop of a blaster beam performance and asked their female listeners to report any stimulation they experienced. On this occasion none of the show's listeners reported any arousal whatsoever. Damn! Poor ol' Reece doesn't stand a chance now with his 'Down Under Dollies"!!??:haha:

Ok, but i thought a film it is, even if it belongs to a series. I mean as what else than a film could i have called it :hmmm:
So I take it when you speak about a movie it is a stand-alone evening-filling film? My bad then, sorry :hmmm:

Tiefseebasis 104 ?
edit ah i see, so right film or series, but not the "Tiefseebasis". The station is called "satellite relay station MZ-4" as i just found, ok, but the question was what this shimmering thing in the middle was called.

"glittering alien invader" in outpost station tunnel responded to by Orion crew?...my tablet is not too forthcoming with photo scenes. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4b0wtW62RvE/USRJlgLD7CI/AAAAAAAAHAE/B-S7LADlHFk/s1600/Raumpatrouille_Orion_Frog02.jpg < found this under "glittering alien frog in Raumpatrouille"

Yes this is it, the "exo-terrists" were nicknamed "frogs" by the Orion crew

The whole photo from what i took a part can be seen further down the site ..

https://galacticjourney.org/september-24-1966-science-fiction-tv-from-west-germany-space-patrol-the-fantastic-adventures-of-the-spaceship-orion-episode-1-attack-from-space/

"The scenes of Atan and Hasso exploring the darkened station, their heavy footsteps echoing on the metal floors, are genuinely spooky. Though the discovery of the dead crewmen is marred by the fact that one actor blinks at the crucial moment.

Atan and Hasso find MZ-4 commander Clarence dead, frozen in mid movement.
Atan and Hasso are still trying to figure out what the hell happened, when they spot a curiously glittering, elongated humanoid shadow. Aliens – or “exo-terrists” in Orion speak – have taken over MZ-4 and they turn out to be immune to rayguns."

Even if it is a bat i can't find a real match which exact species it would be .. They do hunt insects but communicate with grunts, wails, squeals, snorts, twitters, growls, whistles, and shrieks... no echo radar and R 4 legged.

But it seems Beaver !?:hmmm: Not flat-tailed enough; and they don't swim I believe; they avoid rainy weather. Certain predators besides leopards, Cobras, adders, Caracals, and wild dogs prey on them and two predators specialize on these critters. They are not kosher and are considered a pest in certain areas. There! I've probably given it away!:wah:

Congratulations to Jim :)

Lol i was thinking about a "Klippschliefer", but i was not sure and I did not find a translation; but this was before i changed to the wrong bat proposal..
The translation is indeed "Rock Hyrax", since the last century science now runs those animals under the name Procavia capensis

I should have known.. we saw them in Namibia and I read about them in a german book "Wenn es Krieg gibt, gehen wir in die Wueste" ~ "If there is war we'll go to the desert":

"In September 1935, two young men, newly qualified doctors of geology, arrive on the coast of southwest Africa. They have left Nazi Germany, are starting geological research in the Naukluft Mountains and are exploring water resources for the farmers.
The Second World War catches up with them, for fear of the impending internment as 'enemy foreigners', Henno Martin and Hermann Korn flee into the desert, where they fight for physical survival for more than two years. Hunger and thirst torment them, their changing accommodations, provisional, primitive, form the starting point for changing hunting luck in search of food and water.
They live almost like people of prehistoric times, marveling at the barren beauty of the desert, whose extreme tension between life and death leads them to new insights into the growth and decay of nature and humanity."

They have to give up when one of them gets seriously sick, however their reports are a great read.
