Yes, was built in several variations, with more pointed prop tips, and also a high angle of attack prop of almost 45 degrees (S6 b here though):

Wonderful plane, but then most of its rivals like the Macchi were not exactly ugly. My father was very fond of this plane, even bought me a medal model of the Schneider Pokal S5 :). He worked at the Junkers works during the 1930ies, and aerodynamics were the way to go ..

Ok, another clue is required I think, and a slight alteration. I said 19th century earlier, however more recent information that has come to light indicates that it was actually acquired in 1799 and it was likely made sometime between then and 1792.

Just a few things to keep the game running:
Anyone can post one guess until there is a posting from the starter to say whether or not it has been answered correctly. At that time, you may post a new guess.
Post a new image if it's your turn within 24 hours after the acknowledgement
Please check regularly (at least once per 24 hours) for new answers if it's your turn.
The question should be "where is this?" or "what is this?" or "who is this?". In case of the "where", specify how close you want it to be (for example: "what city").
