I think it's a cunningly close shot of a bar of some kind, probably metal given the colour. Here's my reasoning: when looking at a cylindrical object, and this can even apply to a tree-trunk, even though light may be falling on it from one side, a certain amount always "wraps around" and becomes visible on the opposite side. This has that thin edge of light which I think shows it to be a cylindrical shape, a bar.
That concludes today's painting lesson.

WINNER! The original HMS President, (built as a replica of a captured 1812 American ship: USS President-to keep up the insult:D), as dormitiory traning ship with room for 160.https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/3a/HMS_President_in_South_West_India_Dock%2C_London%2 C_ca._1880_%285375139968%29.jpg/300px-HMS_President_in_South_West_India_Dock%2C_London%2 C_ca._1880_%285375139968%29.jpg (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HMS_President_in_South_West_India_Dock,_Londo n,_ca._1880_(5375139968).jpg)The present HMS President, the former Flower class Q ship Sasifrage, has been commemoratively repainted in extreme 'Dazzle camouflage' and is moored in the Thames https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/8c/HMS_President_Dazzle_2.jpg/220px-HMS_President_Dazzle_2.jpg (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HMS_President_Dazzle_2.jpg) The HMS President classified as a "stone frigate (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_frigate)", or shore establishment of the Royal Naval Reserve (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Naval_Reserve), based on the northern bank of the River Thames (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_Thames) near Tower Bridge (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_Bridge) in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Borough_of_Tower_Hamlets). https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/02/Hmspresident.jpg/300px-Hmspresident.jpg (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hmspresident.jpg)Her majesty disembarked there to observe her Guinness World record setting 2012 Silver Jubille as 670 boats(over the next highest 327 in 2011 at Bremerhaven) rowed in the Thames. <your clue response was a trifle misleading>the JP233 dispenser pods remained with their aircraft during operation and were jettisoned once empty. Not that I was making great progress but I disregarded the Tornado's runway destroyer because of it.:shucks:https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/b/b6/Low-Altitude_Airfield_Attack_System.jpg/300px-Low-Altitude_Airfield_Attack_System.jpg (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Low-Altitude_Airfield_Attack_System.jpg)aLAAAS! fooled again!:O: (Originally known as the LAAAS (Low-Altitude Airfield Attack System), the JP233....
Ah, excellent, many thanks. I've always found that to be a curious system, the way it chucks out bomblets either side. Good runway killer though.
I'll get my turn up later on today once I'm back on my computer. :salute:
