Probably a tasty hamburger, and like most large cities (of which London is one of the more expensive) 10 bucks is the going rate at twice the price of the anywhere outside the capital. Wonder if the tomato sauce is an extra charge or included in the price? Also it could be a healthy hamburger with more real meat than your average fast food joint of dubious quality serving horse burger. All that grease is making me feel hungry.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) says updates to its past calculations on the performance of the UK economy mean Britain was never in a double-dip recession after all.
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/double-dip-recession-never-actually-happened-083026995.html#rGxBalT
WOW...The ONS has the bloody cheek to present this load of bull brown stuff! Next they will say Cameron is a great wonderful nice guy and a all round groovy funky fun guy as well. What have the ONS & Conservatives got in common? They both tell a pack of lies.

Britain will not be hit by 1970s-style industrial blackouts, energy minister Michael Fallon has insisted.
The Tory MP admitted there was a "risk" of power shortages in the UK within three years but insisted the Government would not let that happen.

Of course not, you will instruct the energy companies to jack up their prices which will result in people unable to pay their bills so they are cut off saving energy. We can see what you scum dogs are up too.

That is the difference between British troops and other less developed nations, the UK has good discipline and the military are kept apolitical. Regardless of who is running the country, he/she is British and democratically elected. Lets face it Blair could have been fragged for getting involved in Iraq and not supplying the military with the proper equipment to do the job. Of course, with all the cutbacks there is only one rifle available and the troops have to shout 'Bang!' to save ammunition.:03:

Recent times suggest that little has changed.
May I point to the Stevens inquiries, the local police told the man leading the official government enquiry that it was the army that burned down his office.
Furthermore the army had already told him that the army unit accused of the arson didn't operate in the six.

Agree with that. In a time of economic hardship it is unacceptable that MP's think they deserve a pay rise when so many have forced pay freezes.:down: The loss of their expenses must really have hurt them financially. It will be interesting to see how many turn the pay rise down.

Maybe the Unions are simply trying to go back to their traditional roots when their party is swamped with champange socialists who have forgotten the glory days of union power in the 1970's. Good old days of 3 day weeks and lots of bar-b-q's around open braziers on the picket line. The union represent the real working class (those that are actually out working and paying taxes) not those on benefits who claim to be workers.

The Trade Union Movement backs the Labour Party, big business backs the Nasty Party. Nothing new there is there ?
The big difference is of course, the money donated to the Labour Party by said unions is clean money that has had it's dues in taxes on it paid by hard working union members.
The money donated to the Nasty Party from big business is dirty money that comes from a cut in the money saved from their tax avoidance loot. And all so

So the plan is to keep all the debts, keep all the parts which struggle to make a profit and sell off the bits you can make money on.
So it looks like a lose lose situation for the taxpayer.
These Tory sell-off schemes are a strange business model, there are not many businessmen who would give away their profitable enterprises and keep only their loss making ones.

It is corrupt but if there is no real oversight or control of MP's expenses then they will try to get away with whatever they can because the system is flawed. They should just build a secure accommodation skyscraper (Watergate Towers) in London for all MP's to stay in when away from their constituencies so that there would be no need for second homes or as many claims.

David Cameron has refused to rule out tax rises after the next election, but said his goal is to "give people back some of their hard earned money" as the economy improves.
Chancellor George Osborne said recently that further tax rises would not be needed after 2015 to cut the deficit.

As long as I seen this thread this lingering question is in my mind.
In American type politics, what would a tory be?
I am asking to make it understandable to me.
Is it some kind of Stalinesque socialist, or a far right warmonger?
I guess I am asking for an American equivalent.
Or is a Tory something unique we should all worry about? (like the Illuminatti:D) Or the Templars from Assassins creed?

David Cameron, March 2013: "A situation where a person in receipt of benefits receives a bigger income that those in work is, in my view, just crazy."
David Cameron, April 2013: "Handouts should not be higher than average incomes in homes where someone goes out to work."
David Cameron, July 2013: "Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge following the birth of their first son."

Pull the other one.
David Cameron has insisted a referendum on the UK's membership of the European Union will not create "uncertainty" for businesses.
The prime minister said he believed it would be a mistake to have a vote now but believed he could negotiate a better deal by the time one was held.
Mr Cameron has promised an "in-out" vote by the end of 2017 if the Conservatives win the next election.

Oh boy an argumentative Tory :haha:
1.Thatcher destroyed 1000s of lives and communities (being a ex coal miner I know this from personal experience)
2.I am not ignorant just very anti Tory and anything they stand for
3. The NHS and Tories just don't go together, Thatcher tried to destroy it the 80s.
4.And if you believe the unemployment figures then you are a Tory with blinkers on.
5.Toff boy Cameron tells lies for dinner so if you believe what a says about a EU referendum then well................
6.I agree with one war but the other was sanctioned by the EU and also by your beloved Tory party at the time.
7.It was NOT Labour who destroyed the economy it was the greedy bastard BANKERS.
youre just ignorant you probably didnt even live in the 80's n 90's thatcher did a lot of good and unemployment has fallen drastically and our tory mp SAVED our nhs hospital so stop whining labour have done far worse by getting us into 2 wars we didnt want causing a recession and destroying our economy by submitting to the eu
WOW...What a first post! :O:
I lived under Thatcher, I worked under Thatcher so you can stick that comment of yours! Your Tory MP may have saved your local Hospital but my Tory MP did not, in fact it came to light a few years ago he made every effort to close it down. Thanks to him we're not got a A+E Dept anymore and the other Hospitals around here have lost theres under this Toff Boy PIG of a so called PM.
Yes Labour over spent and caused a government debt but Labour did not put this country in a recession, the greed of banks like JP Morgan & Chase, Goldman Sachs, HSBC who were dealing with Central American drug lords. The bloody list just goes on and on and on, even now today the bloody banks are still at it and this stinking vile Tory PIG government is in bed with these bloody criminal banks! Osbourne right to buy scheme is a bloody PONZI idea based on the American one that crashed back in 2008.
As for the EU lets go back in time to when they were the EEC and move further back to the common market and who tricked this country to join them? The bloody Tories thats who. I am anti EU and like to see it blown to Hell for what it has done to Europe. I can only hope one day Europe will rise up against the EU and get rid of it.
No party is perfect and I would like to see massive changes but its not going to happen. Iraq was not a smart move nor was Afghanistan, Tony Blair betrayed the core values of the Labour Party and I have no time for him.

Nimby no more, Nimtby..Not in my tory back yard.
Fracking in a Tory seat or Council, more chance of you catching a cold.
TORY SCUM AT WORK!
Amended in bold
More needs to be done to promote the benefits of fracking but it should only be carried out if there is "no risk" to the environment, a spokesman for Toff Boy indicated.

Hmmm. Not that I agree with everything the coalition is doing but given we were skint when they came to power and according to the news maybe slightly less skint I can see a reason for the initial cuts. It's easy to call them names from behind a keyboard and sure everyone is entitled to an opinion but labour are hardly a credible opposition especially under Milliband what with his problems with the unions especially unite run by the odious Red Len. Btw I don't have a problem with unions just the bosses who are as hypocritical as the politicians they attack.
The British media is in bed with the government when it comes to economy, once again the headlines ring out UK out of recession and strong growth, Britain bounces back and goes strength to strength!
Today the FT was at it..
REALLY?
So why the hell are interest rates being held at 0.05% I ask?
Did you hear that poor excuse from Mark (Man from Goldman Sachs) Carney are new governor of the BoE, interest rates with remain where they are for another two to three years if not more and will not go up until unemployment falls to 7%. Not only working for Mr George Ponzi but also the grand plan of Goldman Sachs.

The HS2 high-speed rail project could cost more than £80bn - almost double the current estimated cost of £42.6bn, a free-market think tank has said.

I don't need some think tank to tell me that! We all know, here in the UK this sort of thing happens and the government of the day should dam well put a stop to it. Or tell the truth of the real cost, take your pick.
