100% Agree on this..... This is not Iraq, this could be bloody serious. Just a quick question tho, isn't it a little early in toff boy's premiership to want to bolster public support by having a war? Just a thought :hmmm:
His timing is nowhere as near perfect as Maggies was.

Less than £750 at todays rate.
Current ISA interest rate 2%, current inflation rate 2.7%ish
Must be worth a dabble.
I'm not saying it isn't worth investing, but seems a bit expensive, for me at least!

Ah right, I see what you mean.
By todays standards though, £750 isn't a great deal....for those who consider themselves to be investors I mean.
The investment houses and pension schemes will go for these shares in a big way because of the initial low outlay when compared to how much the business will cost.

Lib Dems to push 'proud story' of achievements

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
What achievements???? :har::har: The one you've made is how to wipe the toffs bottoms :haha::haha:
What a load of bull dung!
"proud story" on jobs and the economy while in government.
There are more and more minimum paid jobs created which you can not live off due to the cost of living which is going up and up. And let us not forget dog walking is a job but not a job doing anything to boost the economy but of course it’s counted under their false/twisted figures.
BTW: Thanks for the plastic bag TAX in 2015 arsehole Clegg.
As for economy you are living in a fools dream, printing vast sums of IOU’s, buying your own bonds and not forgetting buying & selling debt!
Mr Clegg is due to tell party activists they "can tell people how we took the right decisions in government to make sure interest rates were kept down and to protect people from the economic crises we have seen elsewhere in Europe".
And there still down! You lot said all is well now, only the other day that Ponzi slime ball of a chancellor said so. Well Clegg, Mr Ponzi is in trouble over the Housing bubble he created which will go up in smoke. Are you going to kiss his arse for that...a clegg?
Just been watching Dick head Clegg and I was left asking myself this question...Has he turned up to the wrong party conference? :hmmm:
The way he came across was some sort of a Tory. Is Toffboy's little poodle going to sign up for the Tories?

You have spotted the deliberate design flaw. Thin and flimsy bags that do not last, sometimes not even to the car park, so that you have to keep buying new ones.
This is of course is not done for profit by the greedy supermarkets, but because it 'saves' resources by using less plastic, et cetera, and because the bags are probably made in some Chinaman's slave factory to cost the retailer less.
I blame the European Union for trying to stop the black market in carrier bag smuggling across the English border into Wales, where they already charge 5 pennies a bag. There is now a sophisticated crime network to move bags over the Severn Bridge past all the security checks or across the mountains sheep paths and into the valleys. A clever criminal can find all sorts of places in a car to hide the bags, and many women are known to have put a couple in their purses hoping to not get caught. I use Ebay because I can wrap items in multiple bags as 'padding' and then slip the package past the customs. :arrgh!:
Another Clegg..."LIE"
Clegg said the 5p per plastic bag with go to charity. Clegg your pants are on fire! Supermarkets don't have to and I bet they will not.
Jimbuna
09-15-13, 07:10 AM
I certainly don't agree with the bag tax....there are already a great many depending on food banks and this measure would only add more to those ranks.
Nick Clegg will tomorrow state he wants to move the Lib Dems from centre left to centre right according to the news today. Why pussy foot around and go the whole hog?
Moving on to another point...
Why not re-name the party? The slut party comes to mind as Clegg seems to think coalitions are great and will jump into bed with any party now. Be it Con/Lab/Green/UKIP/BNP you name it and Clegg will go to bed with it.

Cleggs latest brainwave is that nobody on NMW should pay income tax.
Considering the huge numbers that now find themselves on NMW where does he suggest the shortfall in monies should come from?
Not the wealthy surely, Dave would never hear of such a thing.

Its a Peter and Paul issue at the moment, they are taking money off the gross income, then giving them benefits to make their net income back up again.

Poodles big speech...Clegg.
What dose he want? Goes on about a Liberal Democrats government and then goes on about jumping into bed with Cons/Lab to form a coalition! Make your bloody mind up Clegg!
Clegg is now Green! :o
Sounds like Clegg will jump into bed with the Green party.
Now what about the BNP? :hmm2:
Liberal values..cough splutter. :har: :har: :har:
You sold them down the pan when you joined Toff boy's lot.
Well to sum up people, Clegg wants another Hung Parliament and as long as the Lib Dems hold the number of MP's to swing it in favour of the Cons/Lab the talks are on. I advice true Liberals to breakaway from this sham and form a true Liberal Party that want to govern and not jump into bed with other party's.

Get your popcorn and cold beers out.
5.4.3.2.1...
RANT
I am one of those long term unemployed and before any Tory scumbags shout out their anger in my direction let me tell you what I do first. For a year and half now I have been doing voluntary work ranging from 8 to 20 hours a week and still doing it and will continual to do so until this lot of workhouse scumbags take that away from me and make me sweep the streets or what ever.
I have been Appling to 20+ jobs a week and do I hear anything? No I don't and before the Tory fan club butts in with comments its your CV blah blah blah. I went through the work programme which is a lie, not once did I get any real help what so ever. In the first year I had to attend a meeting with my WP adviser once every month which was ten miles away lasting 10 minutes! Every week I emailed all my search results and any other info they wanted.
By the second year they made one change, I had to do a Internet job search once a month over there, why? I have my own PC so what was the point I ask? So to sum up the WP what did it offer, well fair enough if you have no PC you can do job searches there but there is always your local library as well. Free paper envelopes and postage and that was it.
This shame government has lashed out millions paying these private company's to find us jobs which they did not. This shame government promised to release monthly figures of the WP they have not done so after to date the only figure they released showed the WP has failed.
Now I'm on an after WP lasting six months and once again my CV was as they put it tailor made for the work I'm looking for which in fact is any dam work I am able to do and has this new CV worked? No, and it was done by yet another CV expert company.
Mr Ponzi Osborne has said I want to stop something for nothing, he should be reminded he is getting over £4 million for nothing on its way to him. I can play his game too. Today I heard on the radio the DWP carried out research on these schemes and they just don't work. Not only that a interesting bit of info was given out...
Long term unemployed
2009 25,000
2013 200,000+
Hang on most of that is under this shame coalition! It's rocketed up under this sham. I see Mr Ponzi gave out a disgraceful speech, read between the lines how dare you the unemployed steal money from us the rich! Too put another way you invite Mr Ponzi around for tea and cake and there are two cakes on the table he eats one and you are about to have yours then he turns around, how dare you take my cake.
I will continual to applie to jobs but it has become clear to me some companies are using my age against me. Granted not all but those who do are not helping me. And as said I will continual to do voluntary work and just hope one day I will get a job.
The Tory party today is far more evil and twisted than it was under Thatcher, not even Thatcher went as far to privatise the Royal Mail let alone bring back Victorian work houses. And if they get back into power pensioners will be next and more worker rights binned.
I have spoken to many who have gone though the WP with different companies and they all say the same thing, the WP has failed and the Tories know this and instead of owning up to this they decide to smash me with their big stick.
Rant Over

I can't see how they can do it, that is to say and I maybe wrong as the Tories have Clegg's lot with them.
Making old people drinks of tea, how is that going to last 40 hour week?
Cleaning the streets up of rubbish that is already being done by a person in a job, isn't that taking away their job in effect?
Working for a company, well if that is the case then there is a job there so create the job and give it to them. Sorry me I forgot the unemployed will be the new work house employed nice and cheap for the boss.
What ever way you look at this without doubt this is returning us to Victorian times and they will not stop there. The filthy gutter press of this country has done a bang up job for there masters that of the mail/express. Don't these people think who have fallen for this it's only the start, workers next. The agenda is under way jim, only few number in this country can see what is going on. Even pensioners are feeling it, I over heard two blokes on the bus talking to each other, one of them said he now retired and done the numbers and is living in fear once he passes 72 as he has not got the capital go on after that age. In the case of this agenda this is bigger than the tories but clearly they are playing there part in it.

I agree with UKIP to get out of the EU but some of there other points I find a little alarming. It won't make any differences who gets in as the fuse has been lit, the central banks let slip in a news article in the FT a few weeks ago there will be no end to boom and bust as this suits them well as they win in good and bad times. This article whilst being interesting also shows what many young people are having to face these days:
Benefits: Your views on cutting them for the under-25s
David Cameron has suggested benefits paid to people under the age of 25 could be cut in an effort to reduce long-term worklessness.
In his speech to the Conservative conference, the prime minister promised to "nag and push and guide" young people away from a life on the dole.
It was later confirmed that the government is reviewing policies for 16 to 25-year-olds.
The latest figures from the Department of Work and Pensions showed 1.09 million people between the ages of 16 and 24 were not in work, education or training.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-24547749
Old data jim, they just love pushing old good news. People have tried asking the ONS for a complete break down of the figures and they have not given it out. Apart from FT/PT work which is not the whole picture.
For example-
Full time work.
P/T work.
Zero hours work.
Signed off to go too college/university/training your paying for.
Apprenticeship.
Signed off doing agency work.
Government schemes like the work programme, once your on them your off the figures.
Signed off had it with the BS.
Loss of benefit due to infraction running from any where from one month to 10 years.
There is also 5 million out of work not claiming, a percentage are looking for work while the rest are not.
Ministry of propaganda the ONS.
Just to add if all this is good news why are the cuts deepening?
Why are rates still being held at 0.05%?
Why are there more food banks?
Why are more people using food banks?
Why are prices rising above wages?
Why is it only the finance service on the up while all the rest going no where?
Why why why?

George Osborne: ‘Second-rate Britain’ needs to be more like China
Chancellor dismisses suggestions that China has a 'sweatshop' economy and wishes Britain would be more like the communist country
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/george-osborne-secondrate-britain-needs-to-be-more-like-china-8890558.html
Of course he would say that as the Chinese reps directs him around like a guided missle avoiding those nasty old sweatshops.
Britain is no longer great, is defeatist and unambitious and needs to be more like China, the Chancellor has said.
Are right I see, sweatshops with slave masters ready to give you a bloody good whipping for slacking off going to the toilet as you do a 16 hour day.
He claimed, as he waited in Hong Kong for a flight home, that the positive attitude of the country during the Victorian era and while Margaret Thatcher was prime minister has been lost.
Yes they were great times for the rich back in the Victorian ere and I bet they miss them. Under Thatcher was a ere of greed greed greed and more greed, the rich liked that too.
He added: “There has been at times in Britain a sense of defeatism. You saw that in the late 1970s when everyone was resigned to the decline of empire
What bloody empire?
While criticising Britain’s failures he maintained that, with the help of the Coalition, the country is beginning to improve and might one day be able match the energy shown by China and “be the best”.
What you done is like giving a drug addict a super boost for the short term and then what as it all comes crashing down. Tick tick tick your bloody housing ponzi scheme is a bomb that will go off one day. In your dreams if you think we can match China one day. Its not going to happen you clown!

The Npower increase includes an electricity price rise of 9.3% and a gas price rise of 11.1%. The move will affect 3.1 million customers.

Some people have bought this on themselves after all what is the point of pulling a fast one? I was investigated twice while on the JP and cleared. Getting sanctioned by there own doing only plays into the governments hands and during what ever that period the person(s) will not be classed as out of work and the figures go down. Yes the rules stink but when your a claimant your in a contract with the government and you jump when they say.

OK on the downside low earners have taken a drop, middle income earners are down £5k a year, but bankers bonuses ensured that the overall figure is positive:rotfl2:
Mr Ponzi lives in the land of BS and lies, come this Thursday he will be having orgasms in the Autumn Statement.

The chancellor also announced a cap on welfare spending would be set in 2014 and start in 2015. It will exclude the state pension and jobseeker's allowance.

I would like to strip him of his wealth and throw him in the gutter and see how long he will last. If the UK is doing so well why is the retirement age going up and up.

Bad news for Ed Millandband, had the radio on last night and in a leadership poll he slumped to the low 20% odd. The country dose not trust him as the next Prime Minister and Toff Boy also fell to the 30% odd on the grounds Toff Boy would bring in more cuts and screw the public sector down even more.

Nigella Lawson's PAs have been found not guilty of defrauding her, the jury giving an affirmative answer to the question " Do you really imagine that Ms Lawson, the daughter of a former chancellor, friend of the prime minister and an acknowledged expert in Home Economics would remotely consider allowing her domestic helpers unlimited use of her credit card as a reward for turning a blind eye to her alleged, and by no means proven, bacchanalian consumption of unconventional condiments?"
Or something like that.
Suddenly I've developed an interest in her books and TV programmes that was never there before!! especially in her choice of herbs for turkey stuffing, and what she uses to put a decorative snowy dusting on her mince pies....
Apparently there is a fan club for people interested in following up her recipies and lifestyle advice. Applications to Mr D Cameron, Secretary "Team Nigella", 10 Downing Street, Westminster, London. Remember to enclose a self sealing polythene bag for your welcome gift.

Hey STEED....lookee lookee :yeah:
The UK will be in a position to overtake Germany as Europe's largest economy, according to the think tank the Centre for Economic and Business Research (CEBR).
The CEBR predicts that Germany will lose its current top spot in Europe by 2030.
It cites the UK's population growth as an aid to economic acceleration.
The report echoes the recent confidence of other business groups such as the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC).

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/cameron-trumpets-british-recovery-39-swipe-france-39-063443925.html#0HiTOLq
Prime Minister David Cameron boasted Wednesday that Britain would become a post-recession flagship in 2014, in what was reported as a swipe at France's "disastrous" economic policies.
Writing in The Times newspaper, Cameron said Britain was a country on the rise as he warned against "the great mistakes that led up to the great recession -- more borrowing, more spending and more debt".
I draw your attention to his final word "debt" which this fool dose not seem to understand or wants to understand or just could not give a hoot or all three, this so called recovery is being driven by debt yes Toff Boy debt and to add to that debt Osbourne's wonderful Ponzi scam based on the US housing sub prime that crashed in 2008. Clearly this fool just wants to look good and not forgetting when this all blows up again Toff Boy and his kind will come out of it as winners.

Nice one David...keep that up until I reach retirement age
The state pension would continue to rise by at least 2.5% a year until 2020 if the Conservatives win the next election, David Cameron has said.
The PM pledged to keep the "triple lock" system, which ensures the state pension goes up by whichever is higher - inflation, wages or 2.5%.
He said it was "fair" to prioritise pensions even at a time when benefits for younger people were being slashed.
Labour said it supported the triple lock "in principle".
