Unfortunately, there is no universal recipe. Each uses a different type of U-boat. And to do this on the stock SH3 is no longer advisable. Do you want to do well, do it yourself. Need skills with s3Ditor and a lot of free time.

That's a pity because I've got all the U-boat types made by Rubini and Racerboy but was looking for a 'fuller' stream.

Attacked a convoy off the coast of Portugal and went deep to avoid the inevitable response from the escorts.

After a couple of hours they raced off to rejoin the surviving merchants and I crept up to periscope depth to see two Empires stopped in the water after taking damage from one torpedo each.

Just then the hydrophone picked up two contacts approaching nearby and much to my surprise they were two unarmed tankers sailing without an escort.

I surfaced the boat and finished off the two Empires with the deck gun before chasing down the two tankers and acting likewise.

Brought this tanker to a halt and waited until the remainder of the convoy moved. The problem being an escort continued the search and I was fresh out of eels.

The escort eventually gave up and went after the convoy but the tanker went down as dawn approached meaning there was no need to surface and finish her off with the deck gun.

In those kind of situations where the sea is calm as glass and the sun is out and visibilty is very clear, I usually stalk a convoy and then attack at night.
Very hard to overhaul and not get spotted.

With all the escorts taken care of at the cost of all my remaining eels it was now time to surface the boat and give the gunnery crew a chance to show what they could do,

Unfortunately the sea state was too rough so it was decided to trail the convoy and hope for a change in the weather.

Took out the escorts then waited for favourable weather to allow the use of the deck gun. It being early 1930 none of the merchants were armed so one was given free reign you could say.

Ah, the inside crew & deck crew...
I have other crew than original Onealex because of a performance save on my PC. Found out that Ccom12 crew was half lighter, so i took them to Onealex :yep:
They are very nice and detailed too, but no wearing those black jackets.

Ah, the inside crew & deck crew...
I have other crew than original Onealex because of a performance save on my PC. Found out that Ccom12 crew was half lighter, so i took them to Onealex :yep:
They are very nice and detailed too, but no wearing those black jackets.
If you are interested, just let me know :03:

I'm using the crew on deck that came with Onealex's mod, I think they look great. I don't have a problem running the Crew on Deck. I have made up several different uniform groupings such as Mittlemeer crew with tan and light coloured uniforms, and modified Raptors watch crew mod with summer and winter dress (really with or without gloves). Depending on the time of year in the game, I change the uniforms for the seasons.
