This is where I thought my goose was truly going to be cooked: one of the two simply came to dead-stop, and sat there, listening while its mate kept slowly circling and dropping charges:

Finally they did give up, and full-steamed back to the convoy. Other than rattling some nerves (and dishes) we came away scot-free, and circled about to reload and plot another intercept course.

Feb 41 West of Spain, please don't ask me how the heck I survived this punishment these guys were good. First of all all them let loose then they played the waiting game, then one of them would ping and dish it out while the others sat there listening. This went on for three hours and one by one they left to catch up with there convoy.

Good Question mate i was trying out Ocean Blues torpedo damage mod, i belive.
The textures of the torpedo damage are very nice indeed but i think the shell damage needs a bit of tweeking done on it. :hmm:Though im no expert on damage textures.:yep:

I think the rotating antenas are part of GWX and don't exist as a separate mod. Anvart did some work on rotating antenas as well but I don't know anything more about it.

Swat - a couple of tips mate - those pics are HUGE. Like 1.3Mb. PNG sucks, save them as JPG's and you can get them under 80k. Thats nearly 21 times smaller.

And Imageshack sucks too, its full of popups, there are many better image hosts (photobucket springs to mind).

I think it's GFX card dependant. Can't remember which way round it is but Nvidia or ATI has their AA turned off when bloom is enabled.

This photo was recently discovered by Commander's Helmut Steiner grandson inside an old trunk containing numerous objects of his grandfather. In the photo is pictured U-13 as it passes in front K.M. Admiral Hipper. Commander Steiner himself and later his wife claimed that the box and it's contains had been destroyed during the Soviet invasion, and no account exists of who has actualy taken the shot. (One posible version is that it was taken by one of Admiral Hipper's crew as he was going on shore leave and later was sold or given to Cmdr. Steiner). Inside the box was also found a painting by an uknown artist, known only as H.P. by the initials on the lower right of the painting. It is obvious that the painting is based on the photo (although it is painted by an another angle). There are claims that the picture was painted by commander Steiner himself (this is also backed up by the resemblance between the two handwritings used in the photo and the painting) but that hasn't yet been proven beyond doubt. It is unsure why commander Steiner would use an alias to sign the painting. At this point must also been stated that a member of U-13's crew (Hans Petersen) goes by the initials H.P and could in fact be the painter. Unfortunately nothing is known about Petersen after the war except the fact that he survived and was last seen in Paraguay in 1947. Below are both the photo and the painting

With 30% damage to the hull but a huge grin in my face I continued on to an agressive patrol, bagging 6 more merchant ships (all small though) for 12.300 tons...I expended all my torps and my deck gun ammo...twas time to return home...
