It was a really fun and intense session, sadly I didn't get most of the good parts when the Destroyers were around. But I managed to snap a few in the aftermath shooting down some planes.

I sank a couple off the English coast in a type II a few careers ago. Between bad weather and bad luck I couldn't find anything else to shoot at. :damn:

You might need to download a torpedo damage mod. Few destroyers could take more than one torpedo hit, let alone something as tiny as a trawler.

You are right, they usually go down by 1 hit.
In this case , the trawler spotted the incoming torpedo and took evasive action. So the torpedo hit her exactly at the propeler.

In any case what do you mean by torpedo damage mod?
I use the "Torpedo damage final" mod. I think this is eye candy only.

It's a what-if scenario with no national socialist party where Germany maintained the Hapro industrialization program and sends warships to aid China. I am trying to write a program like the SH3Gen that reads and writes to the campaign and save game files. So, sunk ships are removed from the campaign map and their removal dates are modified. Ideally, you would set waypoints for the AI ships using a GIS program. Like a strategy game. There's an Antarctic base too, of course.

Sad thing is, this weather is quite typical for about 90% of my patrols. Makes me wonder how accurate the weather system in this game is compared to real life.Pretty flawed I'd say. And it's a shame as it's such an important aspect of game play. Deserving of much more than a mere afterthought.

There is a stock SHIII bolt under the editing. There is a lot of added goodness to make it look that way. The smoke and wake have also been given a bit a makeover.

Actually they're perfect. If you don't have to scroll either sideways or down to see them, they're not too big.

And they look good as well. :rock:

[edit] Oh, one suggestion: Numlock+Del makes the HUD go away, and clicking the mouse will make the cursor go away as well. This gives you clean screenshots. :sunny:
