Nice big convoy off the coast of Ireland...bit juicey tankers in the middle of it. Perfect conditions, its night, with heavy seas...considered a surface attack but thought I would submerge to get in close without being detected.

They both broke their backs!

In total I got about 50k tonnage. Four large tankers, a whale factory ship and two tramp steamers. Not bad!

Came across these two hospital ships too...you don't know how tempted I was lol, I had a perfect 90 degree position at 800 metres!

Nice screens but can someone tell me how you make when flying around in free view not to have different instruments shown in the bottom (or you just cut them with paint...)

Keep 'Num Lock' with the indicator light on whilst runing the game. To make the instruments go, press '.Del' to see them, press '.Del' again.

Just do one, then install GWX to appreciate the contrast. My self, I installed the original Grey Wolves mod package after just completing the academy levels. Even so, the change from GW to GWX was surprising. So moving from stock to GWX might be a bit of a shock:D
It might be better to go in at the deep end with GWX straight away.

they where in an enemy convoy
and to answer you question..all of them
had some target practice with my 20mm flak
didn touch the brits though..they where just doing their duty unlike the norwegians who should just leave them alone:arrgh!:

You are really in 45 without dying yet ever since 39. if so that is very hard to do becuase its the hardest year of them all and nobody in GWX history has made it with 100% realism.

Radeon X800 XT, but it was a lot smoother than the fps might sugest. It only staggers when it drops to 12-14 fps. That only tends to happen in very rough seas, and oddly enough only when facing within 10 derees either side of due south. Once out of port the fps would rise to 45-65 avarage.

Highly unlikely :nope:
They were 'pegged' in place for just such a reason. The cage/container they were housed in was always secured until they were called for (the depth charges) :arrgh!:

Maybe show some interior detail through the windows? Crew run about inside, open doors, run outside, jump into the sea, launch lifeboats, go down with the ship, etc.

One thing I've always wanted in flight simulator games (OT, btw) is ragdoll physics. I own a lot of World War I FS' on the topic, and the pilot is always fixed when he falls...

NO, NO! Show some realism in his final plunge! Maybe do the same for the SH series.

(Just use PS to simulate bloom) LMAO These are from the archives. Taken before my most recent upgrade back when I only had a Geforce 4800 128mb card and the game stammered and stuttered with any AA on. No bloom on either. Picassa has a Glow button to simulate bloom.

It hit the destroyer... thankfully... skimmed past the back end of conning tower. I was moving at flank to get out of the destroyers way and then, I remembered the torpedo was out there... and I was like "Oh feck!!! ALL STOP ALLSTOP!!"

You should have seen me stabbing the all stop button. lol

The engines halted on U-168... and the torpedo merrily locked onto the destroyer again, chased him for a bit, then boom!

GWX testing can be hazardous to your nerves! :rotfl:

It hit the destroyer... thankfully... skimmed past the back end of conning tower. I was moving at flank to get out of the destroyers way and then, I remembered the torpedo was out there... and I was like "Oh feck!!! ALL STOP ALLSTOP!!"

You should have seen me stabbing the all stop button. lol

The engines halted on U-168... and the torpedo merrily locked onto the destroyer again, chased him for a bit, then boom!

GWX testing can be hazardous to your nerves! :rotfl:

Insane....in that pic, it's so close to you that even stopped, I figured that you'd set of the mag pistol as it passed over your stern. Do uboats trigger the mag det?

@ Penny, Meh, nothing major, :D I've had worse, there were no destroyed systems and yes my boat was sinking stern down to 60 meters or so for a bit, but when we pumped the water back out all it had really done was give everyone's laundry an impromptu wash, no worries :up:

When the testing is done and GWX 1.04 is unleashed I'll post some pics of my more unfortunate encounters during testing, some are real :o moments, but I happily sailed away in one piece afterwards (mostly anyway)

I know :D. I accidentaly sank two American ships a couple of weeks before (May 41). I have been overflown by Spanish and Portuguese aircraft before with nothing happening. I wonder if attacking neutrals turns some others hostile. Not actualy sure why it might have happened though. That's why I had no flak crews prepared, I was expecting an overflight and a friendly wave as before. Just realised as well, I will have to find a new skin for the IXC. It's a pity, I have become used to the IXB camoflage scheme. Ah well......

Can someone help,please?What do you think about the quality of this 4xFSAA?It's 8800GTX by the way.....It's crap,isn't it?Even my old X1900XT was doing the better job.This quality of FSAA on 8800GTX makes me really angry...Any suggestions?It is probably driver problem,but 8800 is here some time so why they don't fix or improve it......?

Yes I have....doesn't help.Previous X1900XT was good in case of FSAA,I used to play in 1024x768 6xFSAA and I was satisfied.On 8800 even 16xAA does not have any significant effect.I hope they'll improve the quality of FSAA in the future drivers.What I remember....before X1900XT I had 7800GTX and that one was also better in AA mode....

The thing is that I was never happy with this one until I got myself some Omega-Drivers. Ever since the thing runs great.
I'm no pro when it comes to drivers and ****, but i noticed a better performance straight away!:hmm:

Any thought on that!

Ah, thanks. Just the two American neutrals, the rest are recorded as Allied. Anyway, back home now having a long rest whilst what is left of the boat is pieced back together. Will wait for the 1.04 patch before going out again. Now I just need to find a skin for my IXC.

Thanks for the tip,mate!But honestly I'm not playing just SH....The drivers are usually optimized for another games and I'm currently also playing Stalker and Bioshock but anyway...It's worth of try....Thanks man:rock:
