Thank you! The level of detail in GWX 3 Wilhelmshaven,St Naz,Schluese and xtra ships V7 makes it hard to narrow down the pictures to just a few. I am finding new things every time I am in Kiel. I can only imagine what Wilhelmshaven must be like in V7.

I think you'll find it not much changed from version 6. BBW mainly took the Kiel Canal bridges and Kiel itself from LSH3, at my request.

lol i sank the carrier about a 2 weeks ago myself, i ran out of torps for the cruisers due to multiple duds towards the end of my stock. hope you sent them all to a watery grave :arrgh!:

I see you have the Stiebler´s patch, and I have the same problem: the little cloud for weather information. Are there two clouds or it is a displacement between the graphics and it must be only one cloud?

I really don't know about the cloud - weather meter.
It happens only in heavy fog (grey) and medium fog (orange brown)
I just ignore it since it works as it should.

I got out of the minefield, sinking 8 ships convoy of 12,
but in the end I still got CTD :-? Apparently, not all of
the new ships well accustomed to the GWX, because
I got a CTD at the time of contact with any vessel...
I think the problem is in neutrals, I gave them a lot
of ships from LSH3, that must be British.

Back from the atlantic to north sea i spotted a convoy close to the north-eastern coast of england. Even with the risk of daylight and air attacks i decided to take a look before refuelling at Wilhelmshaven...i discovered the english preforming a great double-column-line but they did everything to hold me back and damaged the Scharnhorst, but sucess was mine. Impacts on the last photo.

If they could fire torpedos, these and other small boats would have sunk me about 10 times already...these small things are more dangoures then aircraft because at range over 1500 m heading directly at you its impossible to hit them because of their speed and size.


After refulling at Wilhelmshaven (i added SH5 water too, looks much better) i headed for the atlantic again and spotted a small task force on the radar moving NE trough "Hebriden"-Channel...i tried to face them when they leave the channel at "Stornoway"...

When refueling at Cadiz we recived new orders to chase a task force of 3 battleships moving to portsmouth. But even with major speed and 2 days to the mouth of the channel there is nothing on the radar. After another 2 days partol at the entrance to the channel and sinking 2 merchants we are moving NW to supplier at greenland for fuel.

After refueling we moving SE and then along the convoy route CU,SC to northern america with 1/3 fuel saving battlecrusier mode. At BB96 spotting a big convoy on the radar and after moving in sight we spotting a Revenge class battleship supporting the convoy. After oppening fire at 12000 m and 45 min fire exchange the Revenge class sinks and the convoy is destroyed.

I have to tell you guys this story, SH is normaly a game about war and theres not so much to laugh but today was just funny.

This morning i tryed to sink a single merchant in SH4 with torp on realistic settings, i falied...like 3 times and gave up (i saved the game so maybe next time).

Now i started SH3 and the single mission "Bismarck" to try something, 2x destroyers and battleships Nelson and King George (i gues) hunting the Bismarck.

When i started the mission, i went to periscope and just fired two torpedos without aiming at something, just straight ahead. After that i checked the sub and the ships on surface fireing on each other so i went back to periscope. Nelson already passed me and King George was right in front of me fireing and aiming with the spotlights. I fired another torpedo without aiming on him. Right after that, i recived the message of torpedo hit (remember, the first two was just fired when starting the mission without even looking on the surface). A tribal-class destroyer was hit right in the middle and sinking after the hit.

Normaly i was about to end the mission now but because the second destroyer made a run for me fireing and damaging the flak gun and the turret i was thinking: "Okay you started it, lets end it." I looked for the second destroyer and he was about the run into me, i was hitting abnormal speed ahead and diving to 89m.

Nelson in the mean time was leaving the battle and exercising glorious english naval warfare: "When carring 3 big turrets on the bow, better show the enemy the aft with the small ones."

The destroyer dropped waterbombs when passing over me but nothing happed, he was taking a hard circle at full speed and almost run into King George.

After King Geroge passed, the destroyer went full speed again but i was already on silent running, he searched for me but was getting to close to the heavily hit Bismarck but she was still able to fight and dont waited for long and sunk him with a broadside.

After i saw that with external camera i went back to full speed ended silent running and got back to perescope right next to King George.

I hit the rudder hart to starboard until the aft torpedo tube, the only still loaded, aimed at him and fired, it was a hit!

Finally there is to say, Bismarck survived almost as a wreck but able to escape because Nelson couldnt sink here with the small caliber from the aft guns.

A piece of advice: Reloading is a very noisy operation. You are giving your position away even if you are at 170m.

Drop to silent running , lose the escorts and let the convoy go.
When it is out of hydrophone range reload , surface and hunt it again.

There are usually two ways - paid and free ... I get downloaded for free.

In Russia the same trouble with GameFront, no right to download :shifty:

Because of this, I can not download a lot of skins and modes what I wanted, because basically everything is stored on GameFront :nope:

Usually have to find other ways...

The Royal Navy called the Scharnhorst and the Gneisenau Ugly Sisters, because they always appeared together. You know what happened when they met the enemy. (Rawalpindi, Operation Juno, Berlin.....)

Not my opinion, I conisder them also as the best looking ships ever.

It's showing as a .png file, which is a very large file type. Jpeg is much better for internet use.

Use CTRL +F11 to take the screenshot....that will go straight into your main SH3 folder.

Create a separate folder somewhere calling it SH3 Screenshots for example and cut and paste the screenshots into that folder.

Use whatever picture software you have (I use Irfanview tis free) to convert to jpeg format.

It may be a good idea to freeze the game before taking the screenshot so you can centralise the subject matter but Irfanview etc. allow you to crop your images.

May I suggest using FRAPPS?

It is much easier to take screenshots , you can customize the key for that and you can select where to save it.
The free version of FRAPPS saves the screenshots in .bmp format.

First longer WSM career, which did not end well...
When I left Brest I decimated a convoy while on the way to the US coast. No shells left so I resupplied at the U-463 and continued on my coast sweeping seek and destroy mission.

Ran into a convoy of 36 ships, 9 of them warships, in grid BB75.
I disabled a Great Lakes Freighter at the start of the attack and hit it's propeller, she was going nowhere so I would get her later. After about an hour of fighting I had destroyed 35 ships. Couldn't leave the scene without sinking all ships that were in the convoy.

The Great Lakes Freighter had no armament so I went full stop right beside here and manned a gun...no more shells...
I fired about 1000 rounds of AP flak ammo in her hull but still didn't sink. I just couldn't risk the cargo being salvaged. So I made a 360 turn and headed full steam ahead at her to run the ship over.

Well I sank her, but she exploded under my keel and took the battleship and my crew with her. Thus ended my first 3 patrol WSM career totaling 76 sunk ships worth a total of 311164 tonnes. Oh, and I downed 2 aircraft :D

I messed up the attack by not being close enough, and my 4 torpedo fan shot into the middle of the convoy didn't hit a thing.:nope: Since I didn't hit anything, the escorts didn't know I was there. So I slipped around behind the convoy, and once out of detection range, surfaced and ran around the convoy to get into attack position again. This time I was ready!:yep: Four solid hits later....

Ive never managed to find a liner in all these years playing sh3, this makes me want to dive back in:up:

I was shocked when I first saw her. It is a first for me to find one this big. I have found and sunk troop transports, the occasional Aquitania, and Ceramic-type Ocean Liner but, nothing like this one.:yeah: I'm just glad it was heading West instead of East. I might have had a problem pressing the fire button, because my Dad went over to England on her in WW2.:hmmm:
