Sorry for confusing you, airwolf. These pictures are from a scenario I made in the SH editor in connection with a study on Unternehmen (Operation) Seelöwe (Sealion). As you might know Sealion was the planned German invasion of England - never launched but was intended to take place in September '40. Latest launch date (S-10) would eventually have been Sept. 17th with the first actual landings taking place Sept 27th (S-day).

Important part of the Sealion plans was the demolition of the Royal Navy in its ports by the Luftwaffe during the 8 days (from S-8) leading up to the invasion (S-day). I used the SH editor as a simulation of this placing a representative numbers of RN ships in Portsmouth together with a like number of Luftwaffe units - Stukas, Ju88's and He111's - attacking them. Coupled with similar missions "flown" in the BoB game the results were quite impressive. If anything, the AA of ships and on ground - as the fighter defense - was much too effective compared with real life statstics.

In real life a campaign like this was not tried by the Luftwaffe since the Sealion was never launched and its resources was squandered over London.

More to SH - Dønitz planned to use all his resources on the operation, too. To the cost of crew training, ship building and merchant warfare. His opinion was that if the operation succeeded as a whole the need for all these parameters would diminish substantially. So, it would be worth it.

Well they must have raised her after all it was shallow water.
The story so far is I am sinking her as normal but she has never blown up before this,after I fired my torps at her I hide right next to her
because other ships cant get in far enough to depth charge me.
I think something from Rodney fell on my IXB

1.2042 hrs Fire 4 torps from 700
2.Full speed to rodney sit beside her wait for other ships to go away,
go home.
3.2105 hrs Boom and a few seconds after were taking on damage

Yes it is. I use quite many mods, all of them compatible with gwx. As I told you before, the sh4 effects in sh3, the lifeboats mod; the longer repair time mod, water streams and smoke, and some other little mods (ships, sub skins ecc).

Actually Flowers were safer in those conditions that most destroyers. Nicholas Monsarrat said they would "roll on wet grass", but the short tubby design meant that they would ride up and down the swells that larger, sleeker ships would plow through.

According to this site, they never lost a single sailor due to heavy seas.

I don't know of any Flower encountering the type of typhoon that sank three American destroyers http://www.history.navy.mil/faqs/faq102-4.htm , so I can't say how they would have fared in that weather, but they were still good wet-weather ships despite appearances to the contrary. By the way, that particular storm was the basis for the incident in Herman Wouk's book The Caine Mutiny, and the film of the same name.

Wow...
I tried to get a picture but the game crashed after i pushed Prt Sc.

But... i was trailing a convoy along with another german sub. He was obviously on the surface and taking fire, so i figured i would head to the other side of the convoy for a better, and safer position.

I was heading along submerged when all of a sudden the event camera came up showing a pattern of four torpedos traveling about 10 meters above my bow.:o Crap that was close. Looked cool though.

Lesson learned = Do not cut infront of another sub without turn signal.

Thanks Jim, RobertGysae, the torpedo damage mod is from CL Assemblage 2 which consists of the mods below and more (i lifted this below from a post a while back)

While checking out the new mods that come out I came across the CL Assemblage 2 mod put together by coba_83 and Lekor a couple of Russian modders that packaged a lot of the mods I wanted to use and they had also ironed out some of the conflicts that occur with them. In the package you get: -
Philipp Thompson’s water mod, I like the texture but it does look a bit “shiny” and “glass” like with the sky reflections.
The Waterstream and exhaust combi mod by Rubini
Lifeboats and debris V4 by Rubini
Long wake mod
Anzacmicks damage immersion mod
Racerboys SH4 effects and more for SH3 V7.1
Asanovics free walk bridge and interior camera mod.

I, also, use the CL Assemblage 2 graphics mod and find it very impressive. It combines all of the other mods listed and removes the conflicts that installing separately could have caused. Just make sure you are careful of the order you place it among some of the GWX mods to stop additional conflicts. CL Assemblage 2 changes more than just graphics.
