Since I am new to SH3, I ask myself what I did wrong? This ship took four torpedo hits but I it denies to sink (LSH 15 Mod installed) Maybe a bug? :/

Second Patrol of 1939, October. Things started off relatively smooth after leaving Wilhelmshaven. Smooth seas and such. Until I reached the waters between Faroe island and the UK. I receive a radio report sighting of a convoy near my location. I decided to turn around to make contact and engage. On my way, I encountered a RAF Swordfish coming up on my 6. Made the order to do a emergency dive. Just when I got to periscope depth, my boat rocked about quite roughly, then I was getting damage reports from all sections of my boat. Dived to 50 meters to keep out of danger of the Swordfish while my crew dealt with the flooding. I decided to raise the boat to 40 meters. I noticed something odd after the ascent. The stern was hanging lower than the bow and the depth gauge was slowing going up, the stern was sinking! I compensated by keeping on 4 knots to stay above 40 meters. After enough time has passed, I made the order to surface the boat hoping it was safe. It indeed was, the RAF plane was nowhere in sight. Thankfully it was a couple hours away from night time allowing me to continue repairs without being spotted by anything. Took until late morning for everything to be fully repaired.

Not giving up! Not going back home without sinking a couple ships. So far it's been bad luck, after my repairs it's been nothing but rough seas and failing to catch up to reported convoys. I finally sighted a lone merchant but I had to break off the pursuit as it was quite clear that I wasn't going to catch up to him in this rough weather.

Yes, it is upside down. A bug from Beta1 Version of WAC5.0. That is fixed in our Beta2.

U-4, the first Sub under my command:

And now something entirely different. Here's the end-result of planning where I just learned and used the Thales' theorem, also known as the Intercept theorem. It's not cool or anything but I think it demonstrates the gruesome precision at which one could operate.Note that is only my 6th mission ever. I'm pretty sure I can make more of it, for convoy attacks and whatnot. It's a good start and from here on the sky is the limit.

I managed to break into my first convoy today.
I've been pushed under water early most of the time or the Zig Zagging saved them.
This battle was pretty tense, the Convoy got airraded 2 times. And a big 18.000 T tanker that ate 2 torpedos espcaped because I ran out of torpedos.
Result 4 ships sank.
Managed to finish of some lone ships on my way back.

I am working on several mods to improve SH3....a particle effects mod, an environmental mod, and the small upgrade to the Merchant Fleet Mod I posted about in the mods forum. I will make sure to release the new land textures too.

Hello Master of WAC,

nice pictures :salute:

However, I could appreciate the look of the V&Ws even more if equipped with the correct weapons. They are availablle :03: ...
Especially, the SH4 "Japanese" torpedo and searchlights are really ugly. And please consider removal of the searchlight from front the compass platform; there was never a searchlight in that position; it is the position of the compass and the pelorus :arrgh!:

The Destroyer skin looks incredible, and I love that some ships now have pennant numbers. :up: Pennant numbers, gun shield cartoons, and so on really make escorts more interesting.....I think they should have been added to SH3 from the start.

And I see that the SH5 Baza_FX explosions have been used.

Lastly, the parachutes are a great touch, so now when a plane gets shot down the pilot can escape!

I guess that question can bei copied to all harbours in Stock SH3.
To your question... I don't know. I only have very basic skills in 3D and could create these new bunkers.
Maybe in summer holidays I will try to make some new harbours. Brest or Kiel should be recreated urgently.

Good question! I never tested this with Wise and Kovall (Ahnenerbe) u-boats.
Testers did also not comment this.

Yes it's possible, but you have to put the emblem directly on the turm's texture.
