I keep seeing 'blocky textures' in 2.0. I have a redeon sapphire X1650 Pro. Does anyone else see this. I will be testing different driver versions to see if that helps. I currently use Omega 3.8.231. I pushed up the contrast quite a bit to make them more visible on this picture.
**Am trying 3.8.273, see if that helps any.

That's an amazing history. That ship lived a rich life.
According to Time-Life's day-by-day history of the war, at least one of the Polish DDs was among the escort for the Dunkirk evacuation fleet.

If you do have Photoshop, but can't/won't buy the plugin, then a workaround is to use a filter, found in Filters/Transform...which uses a similar glow, but caused by adding a subtle unsharpness.

It is something of a dry mouth trip I admit, especially with the new shore batterys added in GWX 2.0. Stay exactly 3000 metres out from about 7 Km approaching Calais to a point past the headland, at full ahead (with decks awash it drops to 10 kts). Far enough out to avoid the mine field but close enough inshore to slip past the armed trawlers (just). I used the same method in GWX 1.03 with both the VIIB and the IXB until I was transfered to Lorient. If you can face that rout you can face anything else this game has to offer :p

Death in the distance.

Met a convoy in 1944 in stormy conditions. After destroying a large tanker I had to dive to 40 meters. When I came back to periscope death I found a liberty cargo at the end of the convoy. Launched two fishes, one hit. It exploded when disappearing beneath the surface (GWX 2.0 enhanced effects on).

Last week in Feb. -40. Somewhere West of Scapa.(:hmm: East of Scapa, typing error :oops: )
This is just mean, sending the biggest convoy I´ve seen my way when I have only 3 torpedoes left. And they were Swedes, Norwegians, Danes, Finns plus a few British ships, and a lot of escorts.
We sank an British and crippled an Norwegian:oops: merchant and then the tubes were empty, time to take our little one home.

I made two versions of IXB Gunship, one for vanilla Sh3 1.4b
and one for GWX2.0. :D:D
For GWX version, i used Basic cfg file from GWX2.0.
I hope it is OK to use it, if NOT then i will remove my GWX version
from Filefront. :oops: :oops::oops: I hope my GWX version works ok . I also use Conning_barracks_8.cfg.
But GWX2.0 do not use this file i think??:roll:

I never had issues with that....but then again, I've always been using ATI's in SH3.
Currently running a X850XT, on Cat7.8 drivers.

Btw, I picked Miner's sub-skin for the med, because imo it fits the Med environment better.

then better be carefull, yesterday i was heading towads 270 near the southern 1/4 of AN52, i dove to periscope depth and 4 hours later to 30 metres for a full sonar scan, after 2 hours of cruising at that depth i was about to return to periscope depth and suddenly my chief engineer shouts "the ship is being dammaged" lost both scopes, radio antenna, radio, sonnar (both internal equipment and the outer spin thingy) my fuel (i had the fuel bunker almost full) leaked and left me with only 10% both bateries destroyed... there was ONE mine.... ONE.... and it got me.

Alas, I was a bit too preoccupied after that trying (and, sad to say, failing) to keep my boat intact after the one hedgehog landed and exploded directly atop the stern deck just behind the conning tower to take screenshots. I did survive the hedgehog; however, with my electrics damaged and now being dead in the water and unable to maneuver, the obligatory follow-up depth charging was more than sufficient for an ugly --and fatal-- coup de grace.
