I really don't know since this was the first time I went to the Belchen having the Lifeboats mod activated.
When I started the next patrol everything was in order.

The battleship is the KM Tirpitz with no main armament.
Is there a mod to restore the ship to all her might? (all armament to be present)?

Yes...And the plane is a Heinkel 111, or not? I see the nose of the plane too rounded for a Ju88.

I haven't seen that because my base is changed to Lorient.
I will return though to Wilhemhaven to see her.

This only happens rarely and only when in a rough/heavy sea state....the supply boat is beginning to take flooding damage and this in turn triggers the mod.

As already correctly stated by Steve, the Tirpitz has been modded to resemble her early state of build and will receive her main armament in Feb 41 or 42 (I honestly can't remember now) but a Google search will tell you.

I bounced one eel off her screws and the second one caught her low in a trough and detonated a couple meters higher. She musta been hauling a load of dynamite. Had massive secondaries and she split in two...

Unfortunately, he was the only escort leading a large merchant. I then took out the large merchant with my last two stern eels.

Now I've gotta go all the way back to Wilhelmshaven with only my deck gun to protect me.

How many eels did that take? Thanks! Three eels but I try as much as possible get hit in the bow, which they then can go down quickly, but it has happened on two eels also,but since she did not escort, so I did not take a chance and she running at 21 knots.

That was the Hood mate but I have seen one or two other BB's acting similarly on occasion...usually when they've been hit by contacts.

Heh, funny you should mention that. I'm not unfamiliar with casino's and poker games and the like, and I've seen it too many times to deny that beginners luck exists. My mind tells me otherwise, but my experience says something different.
I never had beginner's luck in sh3 though... :O:
My first few patrols I was polluting the seas with tons of iron and steel. Luckily no one cared back then :haha:

I meet a convoy with Titanic and Queen Mary (liner). Queen Mary goes to Davy Jones' locker; Titanic lost of sight (Captain Smith is an old seawolf...).

New "simplified line drawing" recognition manual in progress - discards many minor details (including lifeboats, planes and small portholes), leaving just the most recognizable features (including camo patterns for different ships of the same class). From the top: Empire-type freighter, RM Vittorio Veneto, KM Bismark, HMS Anson.

Unfortunately, submarines cannot have recognition manual pages, as they are not "ships."

British passanger/cargo is sunk within sight of (neutral) american cargoship. I hit her with two torpedoes, and still it takes some 13 minutes before the "she is going down" message appears, and another 10 minutes before she disappears under waves.

I've set my Pamir to cruise in and out of Wilhelmshaven.

Open up Campaign_Scr

Add the ship then select waypoints out of the harbour, out to sea a little ways then back.

Ensure your last waypoint is beside waypoint one.

Right click on your last waypoint and select properties.

In the loop to waypoint box select waypoint one then in the % box below that select 100%

Your Pamir will now do that circuit/route faor as long as the scripted dates are valid.

Don't forget to save before exiting ME.

Thanks, yes at this moment, but often she has escort, as you say, now she happened to be a great course, and it was basically just to dive, and shoot three eels, before she went down ... . but it took some time before she took in water and went down :yep:

Well it's 1942, and I'm commanding U-130, one of the U-boats in Operation Drumbeat so.... off to American waters!
I was going to try and set up a meeting between an Ocean Liner and the bottom of the Atlantic.

But it's a long trip, and I came across a convoy halfway. A nice chance to see if I can manually make three torpedoes hit three different ships at the same time. Well it kind of worked:

I hit the ship in the back about 6 seconds after the one in the front. Close enough for me. At the same time another torpedo hits a target behind me (but I have to admit I let my Weapons Officer do the calculations on that last one).

Then I got greedy and tried to setup one more torpedo solution... (I do that a lot :/ ) But by then a destroyer pinpointed my position by my periscope -I assume-. And then another one. So the cat & mouse game begins... Luckily I just installed the Bold decoys:

But it didn't help me. Got hit by a depth charge. One aft-torpedo tube destroyed and a lot of flooding (but completely no hull-damage :hmmm:), just as I was in the middle of crash-diving :damn: So I go down FAST. I order my best men to repair the damage as fast as possible, as I watch my depth going to 180, 190, 200, 210...

And that's when the flooding is finally stopped. I blow ballast and just in time I manage to rise 30 meters. After a VERY long time the destroyers finally give up.
Well, no hull damage, so of course we continue on our travel to the US east coast. Where I manage to sink quite a few ships. Still haven't found an Ocean Liner or Large Passenger ship... but got some nice screens of the ships I did meet. Aah, happy times..
