Yep - typical of you to ignore the context. A creep stating the truth is still stating the truth. It absolutely is true that if a political movement wins the hearts and minds of young people it has captured their support for the future. Doesn't matter who said it, it's still true. That Hitler said it makes it no less true or him no less despicable. But you already knew that...

Of course he did. Whoever resurrected his abandoned forum account knows it too.
Just for the record this kneejerk reaction is what Arlo is using to try and divert our attention from the absolutely horrible job the Biden Admin and that idiot Kamala Smith are doing on immigration.
The horrible terrible (according to him) thing that Miller said:
"Hitler was right on one thing. He said, ‘Whoever has the youth has the future."
Well like it or not he was right about that and so is she.
Hitler also said that the color of the sky was blue but Arlo probably has a stupid internet meme for that too. Ha. Just "one thing" and Arlo shoots himself in the foot by bringing it up. :har:

If you're attempting to answer for August, that's not so much an answer than a feeling. Angst caused a lot of problems in this nation, leading to the previous disasterous admin. . And 'dissolving the Union' was someone's 'answer' 160 years ago. That didn't work out well for the secessionists.
So I'll ask again.

You can judge the pulse, not by the media, but why what they try to censor or spin.
Trump got and continues to get thousands of people showing up his at rallies and the only people who protested him were fringe activist types and criminal rioters while the media proclaimed their riots to be firey but mostly peaceful . Biden has crowds shouting "F$ck Joe Biden" the media tries to claim that are shouti g "Let's go Brandon."

The other guy is still trying to destabilize democracy in the U.S. So, unfortunately, are many of his still devoted followers. Of course what the current POTUS and his admin does (actually does and worthy of criticism) counts but way too many are trying to anticipate fault into reality. If he was as bad as some want him to be then it would be actually obvious to all. It would behoove many to stop wanting it more than the situation merits. Joe Rogan forces Dr. Sanjay Gupta to admit CNN shouldn't have called his COVID treatment 'horse dewormer'
Rogan asked the CNN correspondent, 'Do you think that that's a problem that your news network lies?'
On Wednesday's installment of "The Joe Rogan Experience," Rogan grilled the doctor on why someone like him who already had COVID and has antibodies should get vaccinated.
"By the way, I'm glad you're better," Gupta said.
"That bothered you," Gupta said, grinning.
"It should bother you too," Rogan shot back. "They're lying at your network about people taking human drugs versus drugs for veterinary."
"Calling it a ‘horse dewormer’ is not the most flattering thing, I get that," Gupta conceded.
"It's a lie," Rogan pushed back. "It's a lie on a news network … and it's a lie that they're conscious of. It's not a mistake. They're unfavorably framing it as veterinary medicine."

Biden administration reverses all punishment of Andrew McCabe
By Thomas Lifson (https://www.americanthinker.com/author/thomas_lifson/)
The Deep State takes care of its own, scoring a big victory yesterday thanks to the Biden administration defaulting, using an old trick to reverse all punishment of former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, who lied repeatedly to FBI officials — normally a crime that can be prosecuted severely.
That he lied is undisputed. See this inspector general's report (https://static01.nyt.com/files/2018/us/politics/20180413a-doj-oig-mccabe-report.pdf).
Former attorney general Jeff Sessions fired McCabe just before his pension vested, but the thoroughly politicized Department of Justice declined to prosecute him. Losing pay and pension rankled McCabe, so he sued.
Rather than fight McCabe in court and let a jury decide, Merrick Garland's Justice Department has caved in completely and given McCabe everything he wanted in a "settlement agreement" that includes half a million dollars in attorney's fees and about $200,000 in pension payments he missed plus future pension payments for the rest of his life. Having already stepped down (https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/29/us/politics/andrew-mccabe-fbi.html) from his position as deputy director of the FBI — to which he was appointed by James Comey, who raised him from the ranks — McCabe will not be getting his old job back — just the cushy package of benefits and pension payments that retired senior government bureaucrats enjoy. He joins Lois Lerner of the IRS in the ranks of guilty political hacks who escape punishment for their partisan misdeeds in office.

And what i'm talking about is all these young people. They really believe they may go to the Moon or Mars, it will not happen in their life time. You probbaly know that in germany red socialists, green socilaists and liberal socialist negotiate a coaltion govenrment. Part of that includes a proposal by the green and liberal socialists that 14 year old kids shall be allowed, with a simple act at the registration office, to choose theio gender freeely, and to switch it as often as they want. Parents, according to this proposal, shall have no right and say in this.
After the already deletion of "mother" and "father" in official and media language, they also now want to eliminate the verbal reference to parents and parenthood, too. There shall only be "Erziehende", that emans "educating persons".
Its unclear whether this gets passed, since the majority of society still has some sane senses left and strongly dispises these language policing polcies and gender madness. But it illustrates where the ideological "elites" want the course to plot. They are a miniority, and still since years brutally enforce their minority priviliges and minority opinons onto the majority. And the ajroity? Lets it happen, does not seriously resist. So, compassion is not really appropriate. Victims that reject to defend themselves, are victims I refuse to pick their fight for them.
I just stand, watch in awe and cannot comprehend how stupid a people can be if the herd is just big enough.

14 is too young to be making decisions of that kind, I feel - especially when it comes to transition surgery. 18 would be a better age.
That being said, I’ve served with transgender firefighters, and they pull their weight just like everyone else. I don’t see how they could hurt people simply by having transition surgery done on themselves or by changing their gender on a birth certificate, so I say let them do what works best for them.

They want everybody being able to chose what he (eh: she, I mean: it) wants to be - independently from any facts, medical cicumstances, genetics, hormones, and further: they want people being able to switch back and forth between any of the so far proclaimed five dozens genders there are. If someone born with XY chromosomes wants to wear a dress and call himself "she," or born with XX wants to wear a suit and call herself "he," whatever. I can tolerate it/ignore it without accepting it.
But for those who insist on you using "they/them?" It implies multiple persons --> multiple personalities. Last I checked, multiple personality disorder is a mental illness per the DSM --> if you want people to call you "they/them," you are mentally ill.

The Neue Zürcher Zeitung comments with this opinion piece:
Has America's prime behind it? The question has not been asked for the first time, but it has been more urgent than ever since the defeat by the Taliban, who were considered to be backwoods, in Afghanistan. For China's state propaganda it is clear that the US is a country in decline; In Europe, doubts are growing as to whether one can still rely on the ally on the other side of the Atlantic. Anyone who expected that the Trump era would go down in history as a brief erroneous path is mistaken. The government of the Democrat Joe Biden is trying hard to convey the image of competence and energy to the outside world. Hundreds of management positions are still vacant, and there are no specific strategies for entire regions of the world.
There is also a blatant domestic weakness. In a few months, Biden gambled away the sympathies of many. In the polls, he crashed to a booth typical of his unloved predecessor. For the rest of the world, this raises the question of whether what is currently being designed in the Oval Office is only fragmentary. On his current "trajectory", Biden will lose his double majority in Congress next year and then come under increasing pressure to place the fate of the party in younger hands. Trump, on the other hand, just chased out of the White House, is already back at the gates as the undisputed standard-bearer of the Republicans.
Around the globe there is reason enough to see America as a troubled, emaciated country, a mere shadow of the former leading power. But restraint is advisable. The warnings of the inevitable decline of the United States are almost as old as the country itself. Obituaries of America's leading role were also written during the double crisis of the lost Vietnam War and the Watergate scandal in the mid-1970s; As is well known, things turned out differently.
The most common mistake made by the theorists of decline is to scrutinize America's weaknesses while ignoring those of other powers. Europe in particular is prone to such distorted images. After the outbreak of the financial crisis in 2007, people turned up their noses here at the capitalist excesses in America; the crisis hit the old continent much more severely. Since then, the USA has shown unbroken innovative strength, which one could already realize with a cursory glance at the entrepreneurial spirit in Silicon Valley or at the smartphone in one's own pocket. America's economy grew almost four times as fast as that of the EU in the twelve years to 2020.
When the French finance minister Bruno Le Maire now claims that Europe must be recognized as the “third superpower of the 21st century” alongside the USA and China, this shows a misjudgment of the real situation. The EU weighs a lot, but it still doesn't know what it wants to be. Their lack of unity prevents them from becoming a central geopolitical actor.
China's regime, on the other hand, makes no secret of its contempt for the democratic-liberal path, is bursting with self-confidence under Xi Jinping's rule and demands a global leadership role for itself. But the country's further rise is no historical certainty. The imbalance of the real estate company Evergrande reminds us that parts of the Chinese economic miracle consist of shaky debt pyramids. The aging of society means a mortgage for the future.
Politically, too, there are increasingly clear signs of weakness. The empire of Beijing suffers from a lack of «soft power» - or in other words: it may be feared, but it lacks the ability to act as a role model and to attract potential allies. Under the impression of the Covid-19 pandemic, the origins of which China continues to cover up, the crackdown on the democracy movement in Hong Kong and its aggressive behavior towards other countries, its image has suffered in large parts of the world.
To see a sign of America's decline in the withdrawal from Afghanistan is therefore all too simple. There is no reason to gloss over the Hindu Kush debacle. The troop withdrawal, forced without necessity, carelessly planned and accompanied by lies, will be remembered as an eyesore of the Biden presidency. But the claim that this would permanently weaken America is inadequate.
In horror at the chaos at Kabul airport, the events were immediately equated with the shame of Saigon in 1975 - the collapse of pro-western South Vietnam under the onslaught of the communist North Vietnamese. For once, even the American Republicans agreed with the Beijing propaganda in this assessment. Both wanted to express that they were dealing with a low point in American history. But such an assessment, guided by emotional images, falls short.
There is indeed an important parallel between “Saigon” and “Kabul” - but one that is not that devastating. Both events sealed a bitter defeat, but in both cases it was not a result of military necessity, but arose from cool political considerations: The previous deployment was no longer worthwhile because the world had changed and the original fears of the Americans had disappeared.
In the case of Vietnam, it was domino theory, the conviction that communism should be stopped everywhere and at all costs, because nothing else could stop it. This theory had lost its horror in the mid-1970s. With the surprising rapprochement with the People's Republic of China, Washington shifted the geopolitical field of force in 1971 and deepened the cracks in the communist camp. A plausible interpretation today is that the US back then "lost Vietnam, but gained China". At least they had the certainty that they had a partner in Beijing who would not play dominoes.
In the case of Afghanistan, too, the defeat is offset by a much greater gain: The USA can today feel that it is the winner in the 2001 “war on terrorism”. Islamist acts of terrorism will not go away completely in the foreseeable future, but from an American point of view, their threat has decreased significantly. The last major attack in the US with a double-digit death toll was more than five years ago. Al-Qaeda and the terrorist militia IS remain a scourge of the Islamic world, but they no longer seem capable of carrying out spectacular attacks in the West. This assessment can change again, but it will shape politics for the foreseeable future. The argument that it is imperative to stabilize Afghanistan in order to prevent a second “9/11” is not suddenly completely wrong. But it has lost its validity.
What the world is currently observing is therefore not the disappearance of the great power USA, but, as in 1975, a brutal reorientation of priorities. While at that time a million boat refugees were on the losing side trying to escape the communist regime of terror in Vietnam, today the extent of the suffering under the whip of the Taliban can only be guessed at. Presumably Biden underestimated this tragedy, but he can be credited with clearly focusing his foreign policy on the central challenge of the present: China. It can rely on a broad consensus in both parties.
Biden's radical line at the Hindu Kush is also a signal to the cumbersome American security apparatus, which is usually slow to adapt to new threats. It is hardly a coincidence that the CIA, for example, has only now founded a China “Mission Center” - counter-terrorism had priority for years. If Biden's predecessor Barack Obama's famous “turn to Asia” was primarily empty rhetoric, things are now actually in motion. The establishment of the Pacific Alliance Aukus, the first summit meeting of the Quad group of four, and the redistribution of Pentagon funds are further examples.
A coherent China strategy is far from emerging from this. It remains completely open, for example, how much Washington wants to contain the Middle Kingdom and how it can interact with the other states of the Pacific region. But America at least betrays the will to oppose China's aggressive policies, while in Europe many governments prefer to bury their heads in the sand.

You dont see the point.
They want everybody being able to chose what he (eh: she, I mean: it) wants to be - independently from any facts, medical cicumstances, genetics, hormones, and further: they want people being able to switch back and forth between any of the so far proclaimed five dozens genders there are. I assume it already are more now?!
There has been an inflation of genders in recent years, like ther ehas been anjh inflation of money. And lik inflation of money means to devalue the price of money, inflating available genders to chose form means devaluing value of and appreciation for the existing two biological genders!? They want to take biological fundaments and science out of it.
Literally none of that impacts us, though.
There are much more important issues in the world than getting upset that someone with a penis lives the life of a woman.
Are there some people who push that onto kids? Yes, but you’ll find that there are trans people who agree with us that doing such things is wrong.
Transgender people wanting the freedom to harmlessly live their lives in a certain way is one issue.
People pressuring children into having a certain gender identity is a different issue.

It impacts not on us? Then you stick your head in the sand. Because it does, already now, since many years. It changes policies, it changes language, it changes the way offices and government services interact with their subjects, it wastes growing ammounts of money for ideology promotion and pseudfo science, it creates privileges for members of the right elite groups, it delketes the need of skill and comoetenbce and replaces it with group privileges, it discriminates men, it heavily distorts job chances again especially for men. Grammar gets distorted, terminology abused, history forged, not following new language rules can even get you sued and legally sanctioned, not agreeing to this madness gets you criminalised. Money gets wasted in growing ammounts for non-science that is propaganda, and pushing of privileges for members of noisy groups.
Its war on culture, and its war on science. And it gets worse and worse, and destroys social integrity within our communities. I lines up with allies like anti-masculinists and fascist feminists. It fosters incompetence, egocentrism, and narcissism.
Wokeness should be declared a capital crime. Its corroding our societies faster than the Alien's blood burns a hole into the floor.
You are sleeping deep and dreamless if you say this does not impact on us. It does. People already get character assassinated due to it, loose their jobs, dont find another job, see that unqualified people get a job for wich they would be better qualified, because of "quotas". Yu do not use new lanbgauzge in your acamdeic papoers? you get fired from university, you cannot file your homework when you are a student, your excercise papers will get disqualified, you cannot graduate. People get sued and brought to court over accusations in context with violating gender ideology demands, they are accused of hate crimes and discriminationation, if that is not ironic. And if you dare to speak out against it in a talk show, the headlines on next days newspapers will most likely courtmartial and "execute" you. Social sanctionising? Witch hunt is a better word.
For all exmaples I listed, I could find according news stories from the past several years, if only I would spend the time again, it all has happened, and has happened more than once, and is practiced more and more often. In Europe. In America.
Forget that heap of sand. Raise your head, open your eyes, and start seeing again.
Rome is in flames.
So Trump are planning on creating his own social networking service, which he call Truth Social
Will it be a success ?
Maybe it will, I feel no interest in becoming a member there.

Getting ready to feed the fascist authoritarian Democrat voters a.k.a. the Blue-anon cult, even more conspiracy theories and theatrics.
https://greenwald.substack.com/p/feeding-the-liberal-flock-the-real
Underlying so much of the anger and resentment surrounding 1/6 is the complete dissonance between the narrative fed to the citizenry by Democrats and their media allies on the one hand, and the legal realities on the other. It must be infuriating and baffling to a large sector of the population to have been convinced that what happened on January 6 was an unprecedentedly dangerous insurrection perpetrated by an organized group of seditious traitors who had plotted to kidnap and murder elected officials, only for the Biden DOJ to have charged exactly nobody with any criminal charges remotely suggesting any of those melodramatic claims.
This was the same frustration and confusion that beset a large portion of liberal America when they were led to believe for years that Robert Mueller was coming to arrest all of their political enemies for treason and criminal conspiracy with Russia, only for the FBI Superman to close his investigation without charging a single American with criminal conspiracy with Russia and then issuing a report admitting that he could not find evidence to establish any such crime. How to keep the flock loyal when the doomsday prophecies continue to be unfulfilled, as the World-Ending Date comes and goes without so much as a bang, let alone an explosion?
Adam Schiff's new book — which essentially claims that Mueller is senile and was suffering from pitiful dementia — is obviously intended to provide some solace or at least a framework of understanding for disappointed liberals to keep the faith, but deep down, they know what they were expecting. The endorphin-producing fantasies on which they fed for years — of Trump and Trump, Jr. and Jared and Bannon and Ivanka being frog-marched out of the White House by armed, strapping FBI agents — were way too viscerally arousing for them to simply forget that none of it happened.
A repeat of this disorientation and disillusionment when it comes to 1/6 could be quite dangerous for Democrats. It could be devastating to the media outlets which survive on serving the Democrats’ messaging and feeding dramatic conspiracy theories to the beleaguered liberal flock. In the days and weeks following 1/6, liberals really thought that dozens of members of Congress — from Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz to Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene — would be not just expelled from Congress but summarily imprisoned as traitors by a newly righteous Justice Department. They were led to believe that, with Bill Barr out of the way, Trump and his mafia family would finally pay for their crimes.
Instead, they have been served a tepid, cautious, and compartmentally conservative Merrick Garland who seems barely able to send the Evil Insurrectionists — many of whom are just hapless and impoverished lost souls — to prison for more than a few months. The harsh reality is yet again destroying their cravings for promised vengeance and retribution, and something must be done, lest the cult loyalty be lost forever.
That is, at bottom, what the 1/6 Committee is really for. The House Democrats have smart lawyers who are fully aware of all the above-discussed case law and other limitations on congressional power. That is why they purposely structured their third-party subpoenas to ensure nobody can challenge them in court: they know those subpoenas vastly exceed the limits of their authority and cannot withstand judicial scrutiny.
This congressional committee is designed to be cathartic theater for liberals, and a political drama for the rest of the country. They know Republicans will object to their deliberately unconstitutional inquisitions, and they intend to exploit those objections to darkly insinuate to the country that Republicans are driven by a desire to protect the violent traitors so that they can deploy them as an insurrectionary army for future coups. They have staffed the committee with their most flamboyant and dishonest drama queens, knowing that Adam Schiff will spend most of his days on CNN with Chris Cuomo comparing 1/6 to Pearl Harbor and the Holocaust; Liz Cheney will equate Republicans with Al Qaeda and the Capitol riot to the destruction of the World Trade Center; and Adam Kinzinger will cry on cue as he reminds everyone over and over that he served in the U.S. military only to find himself distraught and traumatized that the real terrorists are not those he was sent to fight overseas but those at home, in his own party.
But the manipulative political design of this spectacle should not obscure how threatening it nonetheless is to core civil liberties. Democrats in politics and media have whipped themselves into such a manic frenzy ever since 1/6 — indeed, they have been doing little else ever since Trump descended the Trump Tower escalator in 2015 — that they have become the worst kinds of fanatics: the ones who really believe their own lies. Many genuinely believe that they are on the front lines of an epic historical battle against the New Hitler (Trump) and his band of deplorable fascist followers bent on a coup against the democratic order. In their cable-and-Twitter-stimulated imaginations, shortly following this right-wing coup will be the installation of every crypto-fascist bell and whistle from concentration camps for racial and ethnic minorities to death or prison for courageous #Resistance dissidents. At some point, the line between actually believing this and being paid to pretend to believe it, or feeling coerced by cultural and friendship circles to feign belief in it, erodes, fostering actual collective conviction and mania.
And when fanatics convince themselves that their cause is not only indisputably just but an imperative for survival, then any doubts or questions about methods and weapons can no longer be acknowledged. The war they are fighting is of such overarching importance and righteousness that there is no such thing as unjust or excessive means to achieve it. Just a cursory examination of liberal discourse is enough to see that they have long ago arrived at and flew past this point of sectarian zealotry. And that is what explains their overwhelming support for state and corporate censorship of the internet, increasing reverence for security state agencies such as the CIA and FBI, love for and trust in corporate media, and a belief that no punishment or level of suffering is excessive when it comes to retaliation against their political enemies, including but not only those who participated in any way in the 1/6 protests.
This is, after all, a movement that has long opposed the death penalty and whose more left-wing factions spent 2020 rioting in cities to protest police violence and chanting "Defund the Police!," yet their only lament about Ashli Babbitt seems to be that she was the only pro-Trump "fascist" shot and killed by noble police officers on that day. They have pranced around for decades as criminal justice reformists, denouncing harsh prosecutorial strategies and judicial punishments, yet are indignant that people who put their feet on Nancy Pelosi's sacred desk or vandalized the sacred halls of American power with their dirty and deplorable presence are not spending decades in a cage. They spent 2020 depicting police officers as racist savages, only to valorize the Capitol Police as benevolent public servants whom only barbarians would want to harm, then gave them an additional $2 billion to intensify their surveillance capabilities and augment their stockpile of weapons. Their fury that Trump officials did not end up spending decades in cages due to vague associations with Russians is exceeded only by their rage that pro-Trump protesters at the Capitol are being sentenced to months rather than years or decades in prison.
A political movement that operates from the premise that its cause is too important to be constrained is one that inevitably becomes authoritarian. That such authoritarianism is the defining feature of American liberalism has been evident for several years. And an investigative congressional committee that they control, aimed squarely at their political enemies, accompanied by demands that anyone resisting it be imprisoned, can only lead to very dark and dangerous destinations.

Why Markus? Everyone knows Trump was the best!
Dave is just reminding everyone of this fact! :yep:
Skybird, Folk's like us will get swept aside in this new world. The Families who have survived after WW2 into the present that have achieved wealth and power into the present will never give it up. Look capitalism worked for the richest families in America till 9/11... For Them it was oh my god! Ya see they didn't' hit the beach in Daytona Florida now that would be in my neighborhood

YA know we cant fight The Red's and the Muslims. This is the only planet that we know we can live on.So let the Americans be the first to create a world of equality and repentance. And now we have a new fight we reproduce like rabbits and the rabbits are eating all the resources. How in the hell will our families survive across the planet. Answer among them, you know there is a Virologist in America and with the collusion of the Chinese and the World Health Organization we can change the entire future of this Planet. And institute a new World order. You see Skybird our present and future is tied to our dark past as humanity without it as a point of reference. A father revealed his young daughter had been sexually assaulted in the girl's restroom at her school by a male student "in a skirt."
On June 22, Scott Smith attended a school board meeting in order to challenge Loudoun County officials on their proposed policies that would enshrine the ability for students to use whatever bathroom they desired based on gender identity alone. Well this father was arrested and has now set the stage for all parents. If you resist having your daughter's mauled by young men wearing skirts you can go to jail. I must say this now. If i have a daughter a niece or my wife. That is raped by a gender fluid person and a judge let's them go.I will let justice take its course in a court of law.

And of course if relatives of any of your victims thinks like you do then your daughter/niece/wife might just get a similar visit while you rot in your jail cell.

I've heard it so many times-It has to do with their childhood and how they have been raised by their parents, that makes the man.

I think the school systems are showing the deep motivation to indoctrinate our kids to the new woke gender pronoun be whatever you want to be. The fact a school board would cover up a rape to protect the "cause" is concerning if that's what happened and appears so. The fact all these hypersexual porn books being allowed in kid's libraries, 90% based on homosexual or trans sex acts is very telling. ‘Cloak and dagger’ military-intelligence outfit at center of US digital vaccine passport push
JEREMY LOFFREDO AND MAX BLUMENTHAL·OCTOBER 26, 2021
https://thegrayzone.com/2021/10/26/cloak-dagger-military-intelligence-digital-vaccine-passport/
… Led by German economist Klaus Schwab, who says he is leading a “Fourth Industrial Revolution” that is changing the way people “live, work, and relate to one another,” the WEF is an international network of some of the wealthiest and most politically powerful people on the planet. Based in Davos, Switzerland, the WEF positions itself as the thought leader of global capitalism.
In January 2021, several WEF partners, including Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, and other mega-corporations announced a coalition to launch the Vaccine Credential Initiative (VCI), which aims to institute QR code-based vaccine passports across the US.
The stated goal of the VCI is to implement a single “SMART Health Card” that could be recognized “across organizational and jurisdictional boundaries.”
In the US, some states are already deploying digital SMART Health Cards developed by the VCI. These SMART Health Cards have laid the basis for a de-facto national standard for vaccine credentials.
A non-profit established by the Rockefeller Foundation and called The Commons Project is leading the lobbying push for digital SMART cards through the VCI it co-founded. And Commons Project CEO Paul Meyer happens to have been cultivated by the WEF as a “young leader.”
As one of the public faces of the VCI, Meyer markets the campaign’s agenda in the language of progressive inclusion, hammering consistently on themes like “empowerment” in public communications.
“The goal of the Vaccination Credential Initiative is to empower individuals with digital access to their vaccination records so they can use tools like CommonPass to safely return to travel, work, school, and life, while protecting their data privacy,” claimed Meyer.
In a press release announcing the formation of the VCI, MITRE echoed Meyer’s woke language, declaring that it had joined the partnership “to ensure that underserved populations have access to this [digital vaccine] verification.”
But what is MITRE, and why might an organization known for mass surveillance and military technology be at the center of an initiative that offers the possibility of unprecedented monitoring of the global population?
So the article states “In the U.S. some states” lol they wouldn’t happen to be neo-liberal, blue-anon, covidian cultist states filled with those angry woke totalitarian voters now would they?

“The government is not now, nor will we be supporting a system that requires Americans to carry a credential,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters at a briefing on Tuesday.
“There will be no federal vaccinations database and no federal mandate requiring everyone to obtain a single vaccination credential.”’
Thing is, she was most likely just defending members in both houses of government who are exempt from the mandates they impose on the public. :har:
Speaking of no federal mandates, didn’t we hear that before from Liberal Democrats? How things might have been back in the day is completely irrelevant to my point.
In the here and now the reality is if you were to carry out your threats then the best case scenario is that your family would be talking to you from the other side of plexiglass once a month for the rest of your life and worst case they're laying flowers on your grave.
Either way how are you going to stop the family of your victims from taking revenge on your now defenseless wife/niece/daughter while you're serving multiple life sentences there Killer? Ever think they may have a few husbands/uncles/fathers who might react the same way as you did? Yeah, rapists and people who want to expose kids to sexual stuff are screwed in the head and don’t deserve anything other than a bullet or jail..
But this idea that the majority of LGBT people are in on some massive conspiracy just doesn’t make any sense.
It’s like saying that the KKK shows that most white people are racists, when in reality the KKK are just extremely vocal and grab all the headlines. The media always focuses on the worst of any demographic to get views, and they’re not treating the LGBT community any differently.
Think about how many LGBT people you’ve met in person, and how many you’ve heard of from the media. If your entire perception of them comes from the media, chances are that you’re only hearing about the worst.
After all, anyone who relies solely on the media would think that all US conservatives are Nazis, all military personnel are war criminals, every US school is a shooting range, and everyone who plays video games is an incel.

After all, anyone who relies solely on the media would think that all US conservatives are Nazis, all military personnel are war criminals, every US school is a shooting range, and everyone who plays video games is an incel.
I don't think this is a gay or trans thing so much as it is a left-wing activist crazy person thing. There are plenty of gay people who quietly live their lives with their partners, become great employees or business owners, aunt/uncle role models, adopt and raise well-adjusted children, etc.
In fact, there are LGBT people who are harassed and ridiculed *because* they aren't radical enough or that they are actively about *not* normalizing the idea of exposing children (not teens old enough to explore on their own) to sexual content. A conservative gay man who has a husband and is a member of the Republican party is just as likely to be targeted as a straight man in the same situation - because of promoting traditional family values. And that's what it is about - keeping your private life private rather than promoting it.
No one wants their children to be forcibly exposed to a leftist activist agenda in school without having any say in the matter and they're being labeled as terrorists for it by the same people who *demanded* that children not be required to stand for the pledge of allegiance in those same schools.
It's not the gay man who is masculine and goes to work swinging a hammer or in a suit and tie or the transwoman who looks and sounds like a woman who doesn't shout "I'm trans!!!" to everyone around her that conservatives have a problem with. It's the ultra-femme gay man prancing around in clubwear barista making your coffee or the man-in-a-dress with a purple mohawk and stubble protesting in front of Chick-fil-A for being closed on Sunday.
Generally, *most* people follow the bell curve - gay or straight - with hard-core evangelical conservatives and hard-core leftists that are the problem - and they are likely in the single digit percentages of the population. So let's do validating their craziness.

Biden's Afghan war crime gets the whitewash treatment
by Washington Examiner, | | November 08, 2021 12:00 AM
Mistakes were made, but no one did anything wrong.
No one will be held accountable.
This is the result of the Air Force's investigation last week into the drone strike that President Joe Biden authorized. The strike, one of several measures taken to distract the public from the completely incompetent withdrawal of U.S. military personnel from Afghanistan, turned out to target an innocent aid worker and nine others with no apparent terrorist ties, including multiple children. The drone footage shows that the children were visible two minutes before the missile. The excuse offered by Inspector General Sami Said was that it was "100% not obvious" that there were children there. "You have to be like, no kidding looking for it."
"No kidding" — you know, the way you might look for things around a target before launching a missile.
If nobody committed any criminal acts in the course of this appalling incident, neither acts of malicious indifference toward human life nor even of criminal negligence, then that raises even more serious questions about the way the U.S. armed forces operate overseas.
Are the procedures for planning an assassination like this one really so flimsy and the planners so careless that a completely innocent aid worker and a group of children can get droned without anyone even having done anything wrong? Is the public, in whose name the Biden administration committed this war crime, really to believe that drone operators are as careless about the potential for hidden and innocent bystanders on a scene as this incident would make it appear?
The most damning conclusion to be drawn from this incident, and from this investigation, is that President Biden's policy of a so-called "over the horizon" approach to managing terrorism in Afghanistan is itself negligence. Not to say that the United States had to remain in Afghanistan forever, but this incident makes it abundantly clear that the military and intelligence services cannot manage the terrorism problem in Afghanistan and should not try to do so without a physical presence there.
Biden's incompetent and unaccountable administration is doing incalculable damage right now to America's image around the world. This barbaric attack has probably created an entirely new generation of Afghan terrorists who hate America. His chaotic retreat from Afghanistan made the U.S. appear unreliable and ineffective, but this drone strike leaves the impression of blind rage, cruelty, and cowardice as well.
Biden's administration, having thus doubly damaged America's standing in the world, appears set to continue its standard practice of not holding anyone accountable for even the most appalling and consequential errors. To this day, no heads have rolled over the withdrawal, and this report virtually guarantees that this crime will go unpunished.
As a point of comparison, it is worth noting that after the incident at Abu Ghraib, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld offered twice to resign, despite having no personal involvement in the abuse and torture of Iraqi prisoners of war. Although his resignation was refused by President George W. Bush, he had volunteered to fall on his sword because he knew there had to be accountability and that this had happened on his watch. He was ashamed by what had been done under him. Even then, at least some inadequate semblance of justice was served when multiple abusers went to military prison for their crimes.
This time, innocents and children were actually murdered in what was supposed to be a careful and well-calculated retaliatory strike. As usual with Biden, it appears that no one will be held accountable at all, not even a little bit.

The problem is you do need only a bit of research and check what Trump has done regarding drone attacks in his 4 years...
It is funny how this (right wing?) media seems concerned about the image of the US in the world, especially also accountability. Was this an issue during Trump's presidency ? I doubt it (at least if you consider his "America First" ideology not as the best way to foster a positive image), anyway you rather would think that it is almost unthinkable that any other president will manage to lower the image more than Trump - with the exception of Trump himself if he gets reelected...

I don't care, this isn't about Trump and you trying to make it so only shows that you have no real argument here.
I certainly wouldn't try and compare a successful drone attack by against an identified target like enemy general with one made for political purposes that hits a carload of children. An attack that was hurriedly thrown together to cover a political disaster with little or no intel on what they were actually shooting at.

I'm surprised we're talking about Obama still in 2021. In all honesty, although he was one of the best spoken presidents, he didn't accomplish all that much sadly... I know he had great intentions but no one wanted to work with him and he wasn't enough of a force to push through what needed to be pushed.
I'm even more sad watching Biden and **** show he puts on. I don't know what's better at this point, a great talking president we all like but can't get anything done or an old guy that falls asleep at half the meeting and can barely form sentences that make sense...

How Sweden swerved Covid disaster
The death toll here is lower than nations with draconian restrictions
https://unherd.com/2021/11/how-sweden-swerved-covid-disaster/
… This fact is shockingly underreported. Consider the sheer number of articles and TV segments devoted to Sweden’s foolishly liberal attitude to the pandemic last year — and the daily reference to figures that are forgotten today. Suddenly, it is as if Sweden doesn’t exist. When the Wall Street Journal recently published a report from Portugal, it described how the country “offered a glimpse” of what it would be like to live with the virus. This new normal involved, among other things, vaccine passports and face masks at large events like football matches. Nowhere in the report was it mentioned that in Sweden you can go to football matches without wearing a facemask, or that Sweden — with a smaller proportion of Covid deaths over the course of the pandemic — had ended virtually all restrictions. Sweden has been living with the virus for some time.
The WSJ is far from alone in its selective reporting. The New York Times, Guardian, BBC, The Times, all cheerleaders for lockdowns, can’t fathom casting doubt on their efficacy.
And those who’ve followed Sweden’s example have also come in for a lot of criticism. When the state of Florida — more than a year ago and strongly inspired by Sweden — removed most of its restrictions and allowed schools, restaurant and leisure parks to reopen, the judgement from the American media was swift. The state’s Republican governor was predicted to “lead his state to the morgue” (The New Republic). The media was outraged by images of Floridians swimming and sunbathing at the beach.
DeSantis’s counterpart in New York, the embattled Democrat Andrew Cuomo, on the other hand, was offered a book deal for his “Leadership lessons from the Covid-19 pandemic”. A few months ago, he was forced to resign after harassing a dozen women. But the result of his “leadership lesson” lives on: 0.29% of his state’s residents died of Covid-19. The equivalent figure for Florida — the state that not only allowed the most freedom, but also has the second highest proportion of pensioners in the country — is 0.27%.
Once again, an underreported fact.
From a human perspective, it is easy to understand the reluctance to face these numbers. It is hard to avoid the conclusion that millions of people have been deprived of their freedom, and millions of children have had their education gravely damaged, for little demonstrable gain. Who wants to admit that they were complicit in this? But what one American judge called the “laboratories of democracy” have conducted their experiment — and the result is increasingly clear.
Exactly why it turned out this way is harder to explain, but perhaps the “noble experiment” of the 1920s in the US can offer some clues. Prohibition didn’t win because the freedom argument prevailed. Nor was it because the substance itself had become any less harmful to people’s health. The reason for the eventual demise of the alcohol ban was that it simply didn’t work. No matter what the law said, Americans didn’t stop drinking alcohol. It simply moved from bars to “speakeasies”. People learned to brew their own spirits or smuggle it in from Canada. And the American mafia had a field day.
The mistake the American authorities made was to underestimate the complexity of society. Just because they banned alcohol did not mean that alcohol disappeared. People’s drives, desires and behaviours were impossible to predict or fit into a plan. A hundred years later, a new set of authorities made the same mistake. Closing schools didn’t stop children meeting in other settings; when life was extinguished in cities, many fled them, spreading the infection to new places; the authorities urged their citizens to buy food online, without thinking about who would transport the goods from home to home.
If the politicians had been honest with themselves, they might have foreseen what would happen. For just as American politicians were constantly caught drinking alcohol during the prohibition, their successors were caught 100 years later breaking precisely the restrictions they had imposed on everyone else. The mayors of New York and Chicago, the British government’s top advisor, the Dutch Minister of Justice, the EU Trade Commissioner, the Governor of California all broke their own rules.
It isn’t easy to control other people’s lives. It isn’t easy to dictate desirable behaviours in a population via centralised command. These are lessons that many dictators have learned. During the Covid pandemic, many democracies have learned it too. The lesson has perhaps not yet sunk in, but hopefully it will eventually. Then perhaps it will be another 100 years before we make the same mistake again.
I will save you from yourselves.

Have a question and before I continue I can't remember if I've asked it before, I can't remember any answer.
An American President has only two terms he can be a president.
Is there anything that prevent Obama running for a third term ?
Let say he goes solo and run as an independent and he wins the 2024 election.
Edit
Google is your friend-Made a search and found this
Text of the 22nd Amendment
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of President more than once.
So no he or others who had two terms can't be president for a third term.
What about speaker of the house or being elected as VP ?
Then the person would be appointed President if something happens
to the sitting President or will there be an extra election ?
End edit

Joe Biden gets a close shave from Occam's razor
NOVEMBER 18, 2021 11:00 PM
BY HUGO GURDON
Joe Biden’s decision to order the Federal Trade Commission to investigate high gasoline prices and see if Big Oil is manipulating them prompts an ironic chuckle, for it is perfectly emblematic of this presidency. It is calculated to suggest concern about a widely felt problem without actually giving two hoots about it except insofar as it might do serious electoral damage to the party of the Left.
Since their drubbing in the Virginia governor’s race and elsewhere on Nov. 2, panicky Democrats have scrambled to create the illusion that they’re still in touch with the concerns of ordinary Americans. Biden touts his Build Back Better — or is it Bankrupt? — welfare plan as a “blue-collar blueprint” for prosperity. Translation: Hey, little people, I’ve got your back. The hapless veep nods toward government’s need to hear everyone’s voice. Translation: We don’t think you’re deplorables.
Uh-huh.
And now, because everyone notices and dislikes rising pump prices, Biden wants to persuade us saps to disregard Occam’s razor and believe corporate baddies are to blame, not his mismanagement and cheek-by-jowl adherence to the Left’s anti-energy agenda.
The reality is that Biden and his minions have waged war on domestic energy producers since his first day as president. Even now, he is doing his best to foist a comptroller of the currency onto the nation who explicitly calls for the ruin of oil companies, saying she wants them to “go bankrupt.”
Prices are soaring because demand outstrips supply, and several of the reasons can be laid at Biden’s door. He’s weakened the supply chain, discouraged domestic production in part by raising costs, and failed to persuade Russia, the Saudis, and others to bail him out with more output. (He begged them to increase production — another national embarrassment — which would substitute dirty overseas output for the world’s most regulated and cleanest production here at home. So much for concern about greenhouse gas emissions).
The problem for Biden is that sleight of hand, extra PR, and frantic communication efforts don’t fix underlying problems, as the Washington Examiner's Byron York recently noted . The administration can spin like a dreidel — goodness knows, it’s trying — but spin doesn’t change the facts.
Obscuring the real causes of rising prices won’t make prices come down or people feel them less. Saying inflation is a luxury concern and anyway is only temporary won’t make it so. Saying another $4 trillion of spending, much of it with borrowed money, will reduce price acceleration won’t achieve that end.
So, as you drive to join family members to celebrate Thanksgiving this week, you’ll know who to thank for the extra $20 you must pay to fill your gas tank each time. When you sit down to dinner, you’ll know who to thank for the fact that your favorite foodstuffs were out of stock.
Yet, for all that, there are real reasons, even in today’s politics, to be thankful. One is that voters have already seen through the Democrats’ spin and are signaling that change is a-coming. Another is that presidential terms don’t last longer than four years.

I imagine it will be fun for you to be sitting in a jail cell and getting the news that they decided to pay you back, knowing that it was you who put it all in motion.

Again it doesn't have anything to do with where you live or what your neighborhood looks like, it's the public threats you keep making that I am talking about. Need help from my American friends here.
Mostly I just ignore when I see something I think is incorrect, but in this case I thought I would share it with you
A friend had posted a picture with following text
(It was in Danish, so I used translate.)
"The difference between humans and dogs is that dogs would never allow the weakest and the one with lowest IQ to lead the herd"
(Senator John Kennedy (Rep.) About Joe Biden.)
John Kennedy-this can only be your former President John Fitzgerald Kennedy and he was killed in Dallas nov. -63 He was also a Democrat.
Joe Biden became a member of the Senate -73.
so these two have never met-from what I understand.
So I see it as a fake.
Markus that quote is probably referencing John Neely Kennedy, who has been a U.S. Senator from Louisiana since 2017. I don't know if he said that or not, but there is a good chance the quote is correct.

Thank you.
And he changed party and are now a Rep. So the quote is mostly correct.
I did change some words in the quote-not interested in getting a red flag.

Biden may not be the first to pull the trigger, but he and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's keep poking the Bear by dictating to Russia what they can and cannot do. In fact Stoltenberg even went so far as to say “…Russia has no right to establish a sphere of influence to try to control their neighbors,". Even as we expand our own sphere and prepare(*) to relocate nuclear weapons closer to Russia.
(*) They say Germany’s new government may no longer want to host NATO nukes which conveniently opens up the option to move those nukes closer to Russia.

“It’s inevitable at this point, supply is going to decrease and prices are going to increase due to the president’s actions,” he said.
The way the sanctions are structured, new import permits for Russian ammo will be denied. Companies that currently have import permits will not have their permits renewed when they expire. The result will be no more Russian ammunition available for American shooters.
“In two years, there won’t be any Russian-made ammo in the United States. Starting Sept. 7, when the sanctions kick in, the amount will slow, and that will create an immediate demand for this ammunition,” he said".
I take it this may be the reason buts as said before i think it is a bit confusing.

Just more click bait conspiracy theories.
Just an FYI the Russia ammo ban is fairly old news. I’m not a member of the NRA and I really don’t care what their claims are. I own and at times shoot an old Mauser K43, an old Soviet TT33, a .38 snub nose and a .45 colt Single Action Army, a Rossi pump action .22 and a Ruger .22 bull barrel. None of which have ever depended on Russian made ammo. There are a truckload of other manufactures out there and I’d bet all are likely eager to meet any new demand. Though I do reload my own so I’m not really dependent on them either.
The only commie weapon that I have is a ChiCom SKS and mostly it's a gun safe queen. Someone gave it to me. I have no real desire to shoot that cheap pos when I have access to a good rifle like the AR-15.
As for the NRA. That's a gross exaggeration. They are not "fighting" Russian sanctions as you imply, they just oppose one particular sanction that they feel unfairly punishes US gun owners while not hurting the Russian government one tiny little bit.

I never heard of this guy before but he has a pretty good point.
Jussie Smollett, ‘lest we forget
By John Kass
Now that entertainer and Obama White House star Jussie Smollett has been convicted on multiple counts of faking an anti-gay, anti-black, anti-Trump hate crime against himself, what do we hear?
We hear a predictable chorus from Woke Media World:
Let it go. Forget it. Leave it alone. Yes, he’s guilty. And that’s a good thing. But let’s never speak of Jussie again. The mention of his name vexes us. Hush. Please, just let it go.
Really? Let it go? Just forget about it?
I ask you, cui bono, who profits by not speaking of Smollett again? Who profits by pretending this didn’t happen?
The politicians who joined him in screaming about hate crimes and lynching. And media that carried Smollett’s hateful and dangerous hoax. They profit by your forgetting.
But the public doesn’t profit by letting it go. The rule of law does not profit. Confidence in our system of justice isn’t strengthened by forgetting. It is weakened by forgetting.
The high priests of grievances would rather we just let Smollett go away, because he failed in epic, Homeric fashion. And now he embarrasses them.
But not everyone is so gullible. Not everyone wants to stick their idiotic head in the sand.
One woman stood up. And with all the talk and all the voices going round and round the Jussie Smollett saga, and with some telling you to forget it and move on, and others shaking their fists at the wrong clowns in this clown show, it would be a shame if you didn’t remember her:
Retired Judge Sheila O’Brien.
Her dad was a cop. Her mother was a nurse. They raised her to not let things go. O’Brien is the one who heroically pushed for a special prosecutor in the Smollett case, incurring the wrath of the political class. And about an hour after the guilty verdict, after I was done playing talking head on TV, I called her.
“John, it’s not about me,” O’Brien said. “Twelve people did their job and upheld their oaths as jurors, as a testament to our system of justice. It was never about me. It was about our system of justice. The law demanded a special prosecutor. The court did the right thing, and a jury fulfilled their oath”
But she forced the issue. She demanded an accounting. If you care about the criminal justice system, if you don’t think politics should put its greasy thumb on the scales of justice, if you believe half the crap you see on those television courtroom dramas when some actor makes The Big Speech about Big Justice, you won’t forget.
You’ll remember her.
Sheila O’Brien.
Naturally, there are others who desperately want to forget. It’s all been so embarrassing. Although, those who are most acutely mortified by Smollett’s conviction–at least those in media who have half their wits—have the good manners not to tell us to shut up and forget.
Instead, they ignore it and change the subject, hoping Jussie goes away and disappears. Or they pick up some other head to fix on their rattle sticks, and shake it and scream about demons to direct public anger elsewhere.
In this, like that gluttonous little boy ostentatiously ignoring the crumbly remains of the blueberry pie he attacked before dinner.
Forgive me, but I’d rather not shut up about Jussie right now. Instead, I think we should thank him. Because by telling and retelling his lies in court, by perjuring himself before the jury and the judge, he’s actually done America a great service.
He exposes he fetid alchemy between the dying corporate legacy media and elite Democrats who used his mewing to stoke racial division for votes. These are the high priests of the new religion, and it sanctifies victimization for profit and power.
They falsely seized on Kyle Rittenhouse as a racist (he wasn’t) and Nicholas Sandman as a racist (he wasn’t) and many others. Without stoking racial strife, how would they motivate their voters?
Are there horrible people among us who are homophobes and racists? Yes, of course. Should they be punished if they violate another’s rights? Yes, of course.
Should the politicians and media that stoked this have known better than to buy his story and regurgitate it, screaming on media platform after media platform with their hair on fire? A reasonable person might think so.
But they didn’t care if they regurgitated a lie. They wanted to use Smollett. They didn’t care if he was lying. They weren’t worried about the damage it could cause, whether his fantastic story may have sparked racial violence in Chicago and elsewhere across the country.
They had their politics to worry about. They wanted outrage. They wanted votes. So, they used him. And he used them.
And now that Smollett has been exposed as a liar by a jury in Chicago, they’d much rather we move on, before we can explore this destructive alchemy of the media/political elite and the damage it has done.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken travels through Southeast Asia, in a keynote address in Jakarta he warns of an aggressive China. But what does Washington actually have to offer the states?
So Jakarta. It's not a coincidence. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken chose Indonesia to deliver his keynote address on strategy in the Indo-Pacific on Tuesday morning. It is the most populous country in Southeast Asia and one that maintains a noticeable distance from Beijing. That alone makes the state increasingly interesting for Washington.
Blinken wrapped his speech as a great promise to keep the Indo-Pacific region "free and open", but of course he knows that he needs reliable partners in the region for this. In fact, the Philippines have been the region's closest ally for a long time. But the erratic policies of President Rodrigo Duterte, who repeatedly rocked back and forth between Beijing and Washington in recent years, has increasingly irritated Washington. Reliability looks different.
Indonesia, on the other hand, is a country that insists on a very independent foreign policy. And so it would be an exaggeration to say that the country is already a close ally of the United States. The only thing that is certain is that Washington is very eager to find a closer relationship. Which is why Blinken made his first stop here on his trip through Southeast Asia before continuing on to Malaysia and Thailand.
The whole trip will revolve around the core of American interest: Washington is looking for a way to counter the expansive tendencies of the largest Asian power, China. In his speech on Tuesday morning, Blinken was very open about the concerns, as the Americans are observing in the region: "There is so much concern - from Northeast Asia to Southeast Asia, on the Mekong River and in the Pacific Islands - about Beijing's aggressive actions" .
China claims "open sea", by which he means the maritime disputes in Southeast Asia, China distorts the open markets by subsidizing its state-owned companies. He depicts a China that poses a threat to traffic in the South China Sea, an area through which three trillion dollars of goods are transported every year.
"We are determined to ensure free navigation in the South China Sea", promised Blinken, the USA would deepen its alliances in the region and also close "gaps in the infrastructure"; an indication that the USA not only want to and will be present militarily, but that it would also like to become more involved economically in the future in order to maintain its traditional role as a Pacific power of order.
Blinken promised a status quo, "without coercion and intimidation" and on the "basis of rules", in short: "a free and open Indo-Pacific", although the audience in the region might accept such promises with some skepticism. The experience of recent years has already painted a different picture: China has consistently and regardless of its neighbors built artificial islands in the South China Sea, Taiwan is threatened, and it is militarizing maritime zones, regardless of rival territorial claims that smaller neighboring states are making, all of them first the Philippines and Vietnam. They are doing this on the basis of international law of the sea, which Beijing largely ignores.
Even Indonesia, which has no further claims in the South China Sea, was stimulated by China with brisk fishing fleet maneuvers off the Natuna Islands, which could increase Jakarta's interest in good connections to the USA. At the same time, however, the very rude Aukus deal on nuclear-powered submarines for Australia caused displeasure in Jakarta. Indonesia feels run over. The USA must therefore carefully approach its Indonesian partner. Above all, however, they must also offer something economically, which, by the way, applies to all of China's neighboring countries. They want to know: What are the benefits of the US alliance? And they all want better access to the US market.
Despite Jakarta's political distance from Beijing, the country's elites are well aware of how much they depend on Chinese investments to advance their country. This was also shown by the pandemic in which Jakarta was almost exclusively dependent on Chinese vaccine deliveries. Since September, the Americans have given away almost eight million doses of Biontech / Pfizer vaccine to Indonesia and, as Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi put it, are otherwise showing a "strong commitment". However, she also attached importance to the statement that there had to be "concrete cooperation" that would benefit both sides.
The Biden government should know very well how much the Americans have to catch up. Asia expert Michael Jonathan Green recently gave a sobering answer when he remarked that Washington’s economic policy in these countries has so far been akin to a "Thanksgiving dinner without a turkey". A bit of cranberry sauce and filling, but nothing more. In other words, the US did not provide enough economic incentives to deepen ties. Quite different from the Chinese, who - to stay in the image of Green - distributed a lot of meat to keep the neighbors weighed or to appease them.
Washington must first repair the trust and connections that Donald Trump has shattered as President. At that time, he defiantly withdrew from the trans-Pacific economic pact TPP, which Obama had ambitiously initiated. The USA could not have provided Beijing with a nicer step forward; China used the vacuum to expand its own economic networks. The fact that Biden is now changing course again may be strategically overdue, but it is unlikely that he will be able to warm the US back to the TPP pact. The domestic political resistance in the USA to the trade pact is great.
America's strategists are trying to forge special economic partnerships with individual states in the region, just as they are currently negotiating with Malaysia in the semiconductor industry.
-----------------------------------
https://www.sueddeutsche.de/politik/blinken-suedostasien-china-1.5487381
Whatever they maybe will acchieve, from 2024 on I fear it all will be shattered again. Lets face it: alliances with America are no longer that attractive as they once have appeared to be. And the question of whether they can be trusted if being tested fpr real by conflict and threat, is highly questionable when it comes to the real big conflicts there are. I cannot see the US willing to embark on really big serious wars against Russia or China, and even a enduring milirary operaiton to destroy nculears weapons on Iran I already have very strong doubts on: might be possible, but I do not see it. Not under Biden, not under the Donald.
A bit of cranberry sauce and filling, but no turkey - yes, that describes the US diplomacy well.

28 trillion is a lot and no doubt this government could be doing a better job. Unfortunately voters are totally enamored with blue anon and q anon conspiracy theories to really care about reality. But looking at the big picture 28 trillion is peanuts compared to our 204.5 trillion in assets. But there are other factors that chip away and take chunks out that 204.5 trillion figure too. Seems to be a precondition for all governments.. but then who knows the "will of the people" if those do not even know it themselves. Because of being just too lazy and disinterested in this boring democracy, or because most do not have the overall picture. You cannot tighten a screw here without influencing other settings.

The coup d'etat that almost succeeded.
Only the most rabid Trump-haters see any evidence of a Coup. MSM has been going nuts over this, but anyone who knows anything will tell you Powerpoint presentations, lawyers memo, contingency plans, etc. mean nothing. It is perfectly standard for anyone to explore ALL the options which are legally available.
What matters is what happened... nothing, Trump did not put any of that in motion.
What you had was a riot by a bunch of morons, nothing more and nothing less.
The only reason why the Dems and MSM are going nuts is because they realise that:
1. They will almost certainly lose the House and Senate in 2022; and
2. It also looks likely that Biden (or whoever the nominee is) will lose in 2024 either to Trump or more likely to whoever the GOP nominee is.
All this stuff that is coming out now is a last ditch desparate effort to change the narrative and somehow hold off the impending election disaster, but that ship has sailed IMHO.
< Does it have to be the military or other organized operations against the government before you can call it coup D'état
A riot like the one we saw in Jan couldn't this be called a kind of coup d'état ?
We must look into what their purpose was.
It may have been unorganized but their main goal was to prevent Joe Biden being elected President.
Just an opinion

A riot like the one we saw in Jan couldn't this be called a kind of coup d'état ?
if it was a "Coup", it was the most incompetent Coup attempt in History.
None of the rioters had any firearms and even if they had succeeded in holding on to the Capitol for 24 hours, it would have made no difference whatsoever, Biden would still have become President on Jan. 20th.

Exactly, a real coup implies a realistic plan to actually seize power and there was none here. This is not a European government where whoever captures and holds the Reichstag becomes the de facto ruler of the country and the rest of the nation just falls into line. The mechanisms of our national authority are far too decentralized for that.

Really surprised I am not, I always saw the storm on the capitol and the political manouvers of the Grand Orange Party around it (pre and post) as an attempted coup and a plot to steal the election. That still no heads are rolling shows how deeply eroded the fundaments of the political system is.
"Clear and present danger." The enemy is not before the gates, but inside the city, in strength, and controlling strategic keyposts.
They lost this battle. The war goes on, more bitter than before. The US is under siege from within.
Yes it's not about a Grand old Orange Party in America today. It's about Grandmas and Grandpas in power here in the United States, who tell the young they have a future. Just believe in their vision of the future. What they don't tell them is what the reality of that future.

The Democrat flavor of law ,We have seen in every Democrat city in the last 4 years. And now that they have acquired power again. How can they stop the movement they created. Will it be more money to uplift again ? And when does the uplift stop ? I see none of the rich doing anything personally to fulfill their promises or changing their lives. They just want the middle class that works their ass off. To go back into the early 19th century in the name of equality. And that's ok with me, as long as those who are in power are removed from power and turn it over to the 12th grade educated people that they created.

They have taken us time after time into war and not a single soldier can bring back a token of victory! But he can leave his body and his limbs in a foreign land.So now the Old Breed wants to cover the skeletons of the Obama Joe Biden Administration in the Ukraine. And our newly elected Democrat Government President plus 80 million people who voted for Joe are ready to go to war against Russia. Yes Buddahaid can we taste the flavor of Democrats next summer. But another crisis against our old enemy will stop the burning of America's own cities .
Apparently, we have had a coordinated fire work attack and people in my neighborhood are sending out home invasion 911 calls . Apparently the people who live in the more affluent area across the lake were the ones who got hit. they set fireworks off in my neighborhood as a draw for the cops and you just have to give credit.Old tactic bring them over here while they are over there. Mr. Putin and the Chinese have nothing to worry about. Except for those 80 plus million Democrats who think they can do Socialism and Communism better than they can It's a new world folks. and nobody is getting free John Kerry Heinz Ketchup anywhere on this planet WHY ? why this family has more Ketchup let's git some . As you obviously can see i am a willow that moves back and forth in the wind. and have learned recently thru our local elected officials YOU MUST BEND WITH THE WIND if you want to see another Christmas .What do you think? Bend or be the one who Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?
The reason the elected officials don't like me . I've asked all of our citizens to keep an eye out for them and those they hang out with.If we are going to change then we must know how they live through what we the citizens see thru our own eyes. Transparency is only a Politicians word.we haven't seen it yet. Also the most important people are the media personalities they are the people we must shadow.
August, I know you warned me, Dammit i just couldn't do it .Next summer it think the USA is going to get a real bloody nose. At least old dog you will not be in Florida a finger sticking out in the ocean. I saw the pics of your cabin, You ole Yankee Dog I will hoist a beer to ya and drink to a man i never met.

Kamala says that if you want to be a good Democrat cult member then don’t ask questions. Because if you’re a critical thinker then you must be a Republican :haha:

Putting website links into the transaltor and then get a translated version of the website does not work over here anymore, since longer time, I now just get the original German website. Thats why I sometimes post the complete text manually translated instead of the link, or I post, like now, the intermediate link from Google translator that usually would then have led me to the translated website.
You mean the graphics are out of proportion, or does no English text at all appear anymore?
The German link is this, interested people can use this to have the original link and from there have their own way of getting it translated, the story is about the legaliozation of crime in progressive California:

What a moron.
In a lengthy statement posted to the social media outlet, Telegram, the 47-year-old said "social media platforms can't stop the truth from being spread far and wide" and accused Twitter of aiding unidentified enemies in "a Communist revolution".

Somebody please explain to her the difference between communism and capitalism.

Kthksbye.
Podcast titan Joe Rogan opened a GETTR account Sunday and encouraged 7.8 million Twitter followers to join him on the alternative social media app.
"Just in case sh-t over at Twitter gets even dumber, I’m here now as well," Rogan wrote on GETTR. "Rejoice!"
"GETTR" trended on Twitter throughout Sunday afternoon as users reacted to Rogan's tweet about GETTR, with many apparently taking his advice and opening an account.
Rogan's move to GETTR came on the same day that Twitter permanently banned the personal account of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., for spreading what the social media company deemed COVID-19 "misinformation."
Last week, Twitter also banned Dr. Robert Malone days before he appeared on Rogan's podcast to discuss the government response to the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines. Malone, a contributor to mRNA vaccine technology, also opened a GETTR account.

These days the lines between Capitalism and Communisim/socialism are in my opinion at best really fuzzy. No desire to take sides here either but she did say “Communist Revolution” which isn’t so much an ideology but a method to achieve a goal.

I don't think that works either. If she said socialism then she could have a point. The USA is already socialistic so the argument is over how much is good. I doubt a privately owned business is interested in communism at all.
