Great picture of Emmit Smith, the greatest running back of all time. I hate the Dallas cowboys personally, I am a Niner fan. And any time we lost in the early 90s was to that team, and to that number 22 running the ball all over us...

Dear People Who Keep Making Discworld Movies,
I admire and appreciate the fact that you are making DW movies. Really, I do. Because my heart longs for a really, really great film adaptation of a DW story. But unless you can swing the type of budget that allows for really good special effects and possibly Peter Jackson to direct, please... just stop. Because I keep wasting time watching these things that would be better spent just re-reading the books instead, which I could easily do in the 2-4 hours it takes to watch another mediocre film adapation of a DW book.
Huggles,
FK

it reminds me of a quarrel I had some time ago with my friend. We were talking about cars run on LPG. My point was that buying a fancy and expensive car (in that particular case it was an almost new Audi A4 combi) with LPG system is a dumbness beyond any limits. I said, that cars like Fiat Seicento could be run on LPG (cheap car-->LPG-->low expenses on gas(fuel). My friend stated that even if he had Lexus he would put there LPG, bcoz it doesn't matter how rich you are, you are free to choose and running on LPG (well, in general, anything that is cheaper than Diesel oil and gasoline)doesn't make you look like a cheapskate. My point was that if you want to show off with your car, the expenses on its upkeep should also be kept on adequate level.

LPG, E85, Ethanol ... many different names there, and the effect is roughly equivalent to 260 hp, E85 or Ethanol is cheaper but takes more "soup" per mil, so ultimately it evens itself out, however, is different torque at different speeds, when I have the opportunity with both automatic and manual shifting, which occurs when the electronics that you know, so it becomes automatic which is good because it requires the attention of other places Also ... so roughly every 1.2-1.3 mil in normal driving...:yep:

Aye, though the gun weren't too shabby either. 47mm compared to the 20mm on the Panzer II and the 7mm MGs on the Panzer I. The primary advantage, in armament anyway, the Panzer II would have is the quick firing KwK-30, other disadvantages the Char Bis had was the lousy one man turret, it's slow speed, its fuel economy (or lack of) and bad communications. However it they had been deployed differently and if the BEF had not gone into Belgium and held the line on the French border, then the Battle of France could have gone a different way. Of course, the whole French leadership (and most of the British) were just not prepared for the German doctrine and the punch through the Ardennes. Coupled that with 'the day when it all went right' with the Luftwaffe providing superb ground support in co-ordination with the Wehrmacht (one of the few times when Fatty actually deigned to co-operate with another department) meant that the drive to the coast succeeded and bar the attempt to break through at Arras (which so very nearly worked, but thanks to bad communications and that the Flak 18s made good anti-tank guns...and in fact were the only guns that could penetrate the Matildas, meant that it all went wrong) it was pretty much all over for France. :dead:

Went and donated blood then for the first time. A nice experience, I'll likely do it again after the obligatory two months of waiting have passed.
The only thing I couldn't understand is why the nurses kept asking if I'm OK. Or actually I can understand it and that it's their job, but I was more confused about what should not be OK with me. Especially when I had before the experience heard from everyone how you feel woozy for the rest of the day and whatnot. They made it sound like you're giving half of your heart away and so did the nurses.
I barely felt the needle, and after the bag was full, I didn't feel any different. I waited for five minutes on the bed just because I was told to, hopped up and walked back home without any symptoms. If anything, I felt like I could have done it again just as well.
I mean compared to losing 1,5 litres of blood like I once did in an accident, this didn't even sting. Anyway, looking forward to doing it again.

I try to persuade myself into doing it, but I am afraid of needles. Even having a needle in the veins for the 20 seconds when they check your blood at the doctor creeps me out.
I just can't imagine how I could handle 10 minutes. :06:

My wife is quite altruistic, but until about 18 months ago had never given blood, she hates both needles and being touched in the crook of the arm where they take it from, oh, and to top it off she's allergic to the plasters they use, and verging on anemic. She used to preach to her classes about how good it is to do things like this and they asked her, "Miss, why don't you do it?", and so she did. She still doesn't like it but persists with it.
But I know it's not for everybody, and there is no shame in not going - it doesn't make you a bad person. It's the strangling of kittens that makes you bad. :03:

A strategic mistake, hopefully it will be about to change, Sweden defeated Finland with 1-2 but Sweden's contribution was pale, and now it remains to Holland, which I do not think they will win, in fact I have no hopes of the coach who dare not go full out, because he chose not to bet on players who have convinced in other matches, but drive an older way of thinking, instead of the fresh ideas needed, :nope:

Last weekend I found out an amazing thing:
A friend of mine is the granddaughter of an U-boat Kaleun!

His name was Claus Korth. http://uboat.net/men/korth.htm
He was on U 57 and U93, one of the few guys who was already a captain at the beginning of the war and survived the war - as he was taken out of combat duty.
I am still doing some research about a certain aspect of his career: if anyone wants to help, please drop me a pm.

What, talking about booze again :DL
The talks about the U-boot kaleun reminds me of my grandfather, who wanted to be in the navy back in the fifties. But he was cursed with a fatal case of sarcasm, a trait passed on to me. Back in Yugoslavia one could choose which branch he wanted to serve conscription (whether his request was proceswsed depended on having contacts in the command or the need of the country). When he was interwied and requested the navy, he was asked if he knew how to swim. So he told them back: ''what, are going to sail or swim, if thought this country had ships?? ''
And of to infantry he went :DL

Okay folks, here is Herr-Berbunch's top culinary tip for today:
When making a fish pie, don't put the peas and sweetcorn in to cook with the potatoes.
Afterwards you'd have to separate by hand, or like I did, think 'hmmm, I'll just mash the peas and sweetcorn in with the potato. Then I thought it was too lumpy so I blended it - like I've seen telly chefs do!
What I now have on top of my lovely fishy base is a green mush. Topped with cheese.
I know it'll taste nice, but not sure how looks will go down with Frau-Berbunch? :hmmm:

I'd like to, but I really don't have anything to say. :dead: Steve, everyone is happy about your presence, so you do not say anything, but it does not hurt, with a candid comment, :DL

Never been much of a gambler...that way I get to keep my money.
Never yet met a poor Bookmaker.
You thought I was serious? You have a reputation for being serious, why doubt the presence of our lord, :yep:

I wonder what you have a reputation for? :DL

Never yet met a poor Bookmaker. Certainly, things like this game is heavily based on knowledge, and have margins on their side ... but just because you put a little money, so I'm not poor, moreover, I lie on the plus ... currently, I would never get into a situation when everything is lost in the game...but I put, in on-line it easy and more convenient.

And you have a reputation for not making any sense. What exactly are you asking here?
And you have a reputation for not making any sense. What exactly are you asking here? Oh ... and it is based on your "knowledge", okay, we will sort it out here or via pm, you decide. "not making any sense" That you should probably consider and make a sensible explanation.

Well, take the response you made to my joke about having nothing to say.
Steve, everyone is happy about your presence, so you do not say anything, but it does not hurt, with a candid comment, :DL
What does that mean, exactly? I certainly don't understand it. Can someone who does please explain it to me?
And your next comment:
You have a reputation for being serious,
Sometimes I'm serious, and sometimes I'm joking. Since a great many of the comments made in this thread have been of a humorous nature, I thought my meaning would be understood. But...
why doubt the presence of our lord, :yep:
What does that mean, and why are you asking it here? Are we starting a religious discussion? Are you slamming me for "doubting" what you believe?
You see, it made no sense, hence my comment. You often say things that others don't understand.

You see, it made no sense, hence my comment. You often say things that others don't understand. Ok! So with your approach to see things, then one person is not serious, and according to you, this has no meaning, or "no sense" or hide them real motives, rather the last one since you started to make that happen may you stand your throw, you have never liked my presence ... maybe two years ago, but if you remember, so last year I discussed a list of updated mods, if you remember, you were very helpful in your conversations,I explain clearly what applies, and that there would be no costs, etc.You showed a commitment, if that, you would, you take the necessary contacts to see if it could be anchored higher up, and then you would come back, but you did not do that, you became like the ostrich, which put your head in the sand instead, maybe got other things in between or you felt it was unimportant, but to send a pm is not much of a problem it had shown "guts" for ya...so this is clear from my side that my presence here is according to your signals, is insignificant, and it's not news that you have shown for some time, and this has hardly to do with religion or the equivalent, we are all different and have different values when changing a word in a forum.

Okay, now I'm really confused.
Ok! So with your approach to see things, then one person is not serious, and according to you, this has no meaning, or "no sense" or hide them real motives, rather the last one since you started to make that happen may you stand your throw,
I would respond to that, but I have no idea what you just said. And now I am serious - this makes no sense at all. Maybe it's just me.
you have never liked my presence
And how exactly do you know what I like or dislike?
... maybe two years ago, but if you remember, so last year I discussed a list of updated mods, if you remember, you were very helpful in your conversations,I explain clearly what applies, and that there would be no costs, etc.You showed a commitment, if that, you would, you take the necessary contacts to see if it could be anchored higher up, and then you would come back, but you did not do that, you became like the ostrich, which put your head in the sand instead, maybe got other things in between or you felt it was unimportant, but to send a pm is not much of a problem it had shown "guts" for ya
I honesty don't even remember that. Maybe you're right.
and this has hardly to do with religion or the equivalent, we are all different and have different values when changing a word in a forum.
So why did you bring up religion? I still don't understand that.
My lord is an expression, and you know it and has nothing to do with a religious position, but that is a little more frightening is that you do not remember our conversation from last year, it ought to because it was discussed extensively right, during a certain time when I was out of town, if you had "thought" about me in a way that "friends" do, so this had now been discussing a distant memory ... I can retrieve mail from last year if they now exist, not necessarily with account of what became of it, you can have the view of me, as you find comfortable and I respect this.
