If he has a solution that would be very handy information for others in the future who may encounter a similar option

After a few peacefull protests in Maribor (Slovenia), to force a corrupt mayor to abdicate, the first riot occured yesterday. Some property damage, some people wounded, police and protesters, some police brutality and a lot of vandalism...
Today, same protests in Ljubljana in front of the Parliament to support the people of Maribor and to show the goverment that enough is enough.
I'll keep it local (comment thread) for now, but I'll start a separate thread if the situation inflames even more. Even an on site report, if this is the start of something big, I'm going to be in the thick of it

The protesters and the police. There are bad apples in the force, maniacs with shields that project their own problems onto peacefull protesters, but the rest of them just made rings around important positions and simply let the protest go it's way. One thing about our police, the most democratic part of our nation.

A little to slow for me but I can totally identify myself with the lyrics.
The day just turned around into a pleasant end.
A friend called me, he gave me a M-65 US army jacket (supposed), 1986 vintage (like myself). He bought it when he was working in Germany from an army surplus store, but he bought it a bit to small. For me it's a perfect fit :D
At the pub was also the one with the blue jeans and muddy shoes and after we finished the drink we went for a little car chase and I showed her some of my ''driving on wet grass skills'' :D
The headache passed me by in a wink of a young girls eye :D

Eight years isn't a lot. I was five years older than my ex-wife when we got married. That it didn't work out had nothing to do with the age difference.

Sounds like some shallow friends. Sure, they have different interests and might not want to hang out anymore, but an hours' conversation over coffee? Maybe I'm wrong, but when my kids were young my wife and I still found time to spend with old friends. Friends are friends.

Yes on occasion, I was part of a six man snatch squad that would rush out the ten feet or so distance to grab the main protaganists after the frontal shield layer opened up for a few seconds.

Honestly, in comparison, last years riots were small fry compared to the Poll Tax riots and the like. Completely different kettle of fish though really, the riots were less confrontation and used mobility to escape the police, and mobiles to organise communications.

Elsewhere - I've fine the most stupid thing with terrible consequences! I have a cooker with for gas rings, I took some trays out of the oven and put then on the rear rings (nothing lit), peeled some spuds and put then on the front left ring, peeled some sweet potatoes and put then on the front right ring. Thought I'd then move the trays of the hob but unbeknownst to me I'd put the rear left on instead of the front.
Twenty minutes under cold running water I couldn't feel anything, twenty second out of water and I'm in agony. It really hurts, in my experience second only to a kick in the jewels. That's gaming gone for a Burton as the WASD finger tips are all blistered! Gutted as Aftermath DLC for BF3 is out tomorrow.

I'm not that bad.
