@ Catfish...Rome looks nice....must go there one day. The Golden House, the Circus Maximus, I'd give the Coloseum a BIG miss - an ugly slaughterhouse built on top of the Golden House. What a travesty.

I read an account once of the German army in Rome during WW2. They were digging trenches for fortifications and they found these mass graves for animals that were killed in the Arena. Masses of bones of Lions, Tigers, Elephants, etc, and still after nearly 2000 years the place STANK.

There used to be a channel on Pay TV ( Foxtel ) here in Australia, called Fashion TV. They'd broadcast "runway/catwalk" shows from London, Rome, Milan, Paris, New York, etc etc. Sadly they've been gone for a few years now, but they used to do collaborations with Paris nightclubs "Crazy Horse" in particular, and produced some amazing music videos :yep: .

There's still a couple on youtube, but they've becoming really hard to find.

I'd love to post them here on Subsim.....but the ladies are bare down to g-strings.....but the acrobatics and songs are:o:o:o :yeah:

All very "tongue in cheek" and a lot of fun.

There's more to this story. :yeah:

Devo wound up crossing tracks with Neil Young in California. They wound up in a movie project of Neil's call Human Highway (a comedy about the last days of humanity). The video for Come Back Jonny was also used in the film.
Meanwhile, Mark Mothersbough was also friends with a comedian/performance artist named Paul Reubens who had an idea for a children's TV show. Mark told Paul all about how Neil filmed Human Highway on very "loud" sets where all of the colors were much brighter than usual so the movie almost looked like a live-action cartoon.

You're seeing the genesis of Pee Wee's Playhouse. :yep:

-No crows were harmed in the making of this movie, although Dennis Hopper did get into a fight with a racoon. (Seriously, check this movie out) :rock:

^ This really was an epic performance and Ann Wilson of Heart demonstrated all too well why she is considered the gold standard of rock vocalists. The band backing her including Jason Bonham on drums were equally good. When the originators of the song you are playing, in this case Led Zeppelin, smile in approval, you know you got it right.

Another Good Heart lineup including Denny Carmassi on drums, Mark Andes on Bass guitar and Howard Lees on lead guitar in addition to Nancy Wilson on guitar.
