Default 1.4 Compatible Mods

Now that the 1.4 patch is officially out ( http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/t...5/m/9151054216 ), I thought it would be good to start a list of the mods that work with it.

Please read each thread for each individual mod carefully. Some of the mods listed below contain parts of each mod creating a larger mod package. Make sure to read that the mod is compatible with the mods you have already installed.

From A Mod on the other SH4 forum:
Quote:
You are correct....
- Disable all mods
- Patch to v1.4
- Generate a new snapshot
I suggested that maybe this advisory/guidance should be added to the initial Release announcement Posts......or in the Readme!!!

Meanwhile, could someone tell me what I should do now that I have erroneously already installed 1.4 without having first disabled all the JSGME mods?
I doubt if I am going to be the only one to make this mistake...just the first, apparently...

I think cross posting your question THREE times on THREE different forums is plenty. be patient dont spam the boardS.

the patch likely overwrote any effected mods that JSGME had in place. i would uninstall SH4, reinstall, then patch.

Stickying this thread for now.

I'm not home nor have my SH4 on hand at the moment...

Can anyone run one of those data-comparing programs (Seeadler did this for 1.3 as I recall) to compare 1.3 and 1.4 data to find out which files have been changed? That would be VERY helpful to the rest of us.

I would normally agree, but as I have received somewhat different advice in different replies, it may have been justified....and my posts may have alerted/reminded others not to make my mistake.

In any event, thanks to Minoos' guidance,I've recovered my baseline and installed 1.4 and will now re-enable my selected Mods.

[I still think a JSGME warning/advisory/reminder should be included in the READme for 1.4 or at least in the initial 1.4 release-related posts in all the relevant threads on these forums. It certainly wouldn't hurt]

I'm in the process of doing that as we speak. I think y'all will be very pleasantly surprised at some of the stuff that may not have been mentioned in the change list. I'll have an HTML file of all the files that are changed/added/deleted shortly. I have no way of knowing if it really means what I think it means, but there are some new sound files from the weapons officer.

RSRDC v104 (1.4 Compatible) will be up in shortly. Some small compatibility issues that need to be worked on.

Oakgrooves dials texture mod works just fine. I through in Leo's sound mod for ROW. No issues.

I installed ROW textures only. Work just fine. I did not touch the files that change the inner workings of the game. We are pretty safe with the texture mods.
