goto bunker and save the game
uninstall OHIIv2.4 (also all mods AFTER where you have placed OHIIIv2.4 - remember the order) and install v2.5 in its place (then all the other mods in the same order as you had them)

load your bunker save and you are good to go:up:

Warning: I have not tested this and you may get the odd glitch - nothing too bad

Use the JSGME Mod Profiler to move your mods.

Instead of moving each one of your “JSGME Mods” one at a time you can use the “JSGME Profile Management” Tool that will save you a lot of time and also you will be able to keep a record of previous “Enabled Mods” in a “Mep File”.

You can use any previous “Mep File Saves” providing they still exist in “JSGME”

The advantage of using the “Profiler Tool” allows you to “Move”, “Delete”, “Enable a Disabled Mod” in any position you want.

The enabled “Shaded Mod” that you cannot get to is now a thing of the past.

Create a “New Folder” where you can find it easily.

How to Save A Mod Profile Mep File

Open “JSGME”

Go to “Tasks”

Go to ”Save Mod Profile”

Find your “New Folder”

Enter a name for this saved profile and put .mep at the end of the “File Name”.

You will not need to do that .mep again as it will recognise the file next time.

Change the “File Type” to “All Files” if necessary.

Click on “Save”

Making Changes To a Mep File

Find your “Mep File Folder”.

Click on the “Mep File” you want to open.

To “Reposition a Mod”.

Place your mouse on the “Mod Behind” the one that you want to create the space for.

Press the “Enter Key”.

This will create the “Blank Space” that you are going to put the mod in to.

“Cut and Paste” the mod you want to move in to the empty space.

Now “Delete” the old empty space.

You can use any mod that is within “JSGME”

If you decide to type the mod’s name in the “Mep File” using the keyboard it is essential that you enter it exactly as you see it in “JSGME”

If you do not do it correctly then you will get an error message when you try and load the “Mep File.

When you have finished.

Go to “File”

Go to Save”

How To Load A Previously Saved Mod Profile Mep File

Open “JSGME”

Go to “Tasks”

Go to”Load Mod Profile”

Find your “Mep Folder”

Click on the “Mep File” you want to uset.

Click on “Open”

“JSGME” will now start to “Disable The Mods” as far back as it needs to before starting to enable your new “Mep File”.

Sometimes at the end I have noticed that you can get an “Error Message” If this happens “Close” “JSGME” and then “Open It Again”.

This seems to happen when the “Profiler” has enabled the mods correctly but it is still looking for another mod that is not there.

You should see the number of mods that have been enabled agrees with your “Mep File”.

do we know how this interacts with RSD 5.5? I know there was a 2.4 patch for RSD, i can only assume we will need a 2.5 patch?

Hi Chief :salute:

This issue is an odd one and normally fixed when user switches to 7.zip to extract mods.

Just to check can you start again and download from here the version that matches your OS
http://www.7-zip.org/

Then install that download.
next right click on OHII downloaded file and select extract here

Hope it works this time:hmmm:

Hi thanks, for the response.

Yes, I have installed 7-zip for 64 bit (and am using 64bit OS!). I removed 7-Zip and all OH zipped files and downloaded both afresh. I get the same message. All the other MODS have been fine, and I can select them in zipped form and view archive as well. It is clearly working for others so I don't know what I'm doing wrong?

- Download (scan for virus) and install 7-zip for 64
- Download OH 2.5 - using Mozilla this goes direct to my downloads folder.
- Normally I then scan it with Avira, (after the first couple of attempts I haven't bothered to rescan I'm using the link from the thread),
- Then I 'extract files' to the MODS folder within SH5, however as I'm in the process of getting Sobers' megamod installed, I'm simply saving to a file on my desktop called 'MODS' and then plan to play the tutorial, shift all the MODS into the MOD folder in SH5 and install with JGSME.

I get the archive problem whether extracting files or using the open archive option which for all other mods shows the folders within; I don't normally touch this 'open archive', I was just trying things out when it wasn't working.

If I can't get 2.5 to work, is there a download link for 2.4 and the fix patch for it? I've spent some time searching for these but couldn't find them ( I get redirected to 2.5) or the one random web location I did find for 2.4 gave a virus warning when I clicked on it so I left it alone.

It may be worth mentioning I had OHII 2.2 sucessfully installed before, but not 2.4.

I actually bought SH5 a second time on disc because I had the steam version ,....oooo the frustration; makes me want to give it a d4mn good thrashing!

Volodya had an interesting suggestion of what may have been wrong.
Sometimes downloading large files can get broken due to slowing connection etc - this can then result in your download being short.

Check the size of your download that did not work and make sure that it is the full file (140mb ish)

Try to use download accelerator programs that have a built-in resume feature, too. One example is download accelerator plus by speedbit.com and down them all extension if you use Firefox.

Hi again,

I've got it all up and running, tutorial done, mods installed and I'm off out into the bay of Danzig with a beautiful camo-paintjob :03:. So thanks not only for the development work but also the IT support!

I did notice that the files I had downloaded previously were of slight difference sizes, very small differences but still slightly different. All 144,xxx KB though? As far as I'm aware I have good internet connections on the whole.

Anyway, I'm hoping that's it for IT goblins.

PS. I'm liking the real navigation MOD (by TDW) included in the Sobers list which I was following, it isn't as daunting as I had thought; looking forward to getting lost in fog though...

yup i got also CD there but i found something strange when i am periscope depth or submerged there where are the 2 polish destroyers no CD...
i will try now with sober mod list to see if i crash ...ill report back soon

Somehow I'm getting a feeling that CTD will occur when destroyers become aware of our presence, which is exactly what happened to me few times...:hmmm:

I don't think you or EU are wrong.. unfortunately most people in my country still don't understand what's going on.. they listen to propaganda and think in Ukraine the Nazis came to power.. old Soviet slogans (from my childhood) sound everywhere.. it's very sad.. my country attacked the brotherly people at a time when they need help.. this is real crime..

We should consider that stock historical missions are designed over stock game.
It is likely that several of them are getting broken due to the many changes brought in game by OHII (unit types, unit availability dates, country sides, etc.). Not really OH's fault, but those missions may need various tweaks to work with it.

I was browsing through files that were left I have from the times SH4 and found an interesting idea - AI Torpedo Launcher. I don't know who to say thanks for the this idea, these files were stored about 5 years in my archive mods for SH4 as a part of super mod "Great War", but I have only the first part of this mod without the readme. Thanks author!
I adapted it and tested for SH5 (screenshots in archive). I play with OHII and think that does not make sense to add individual mods to game, it only brings discord into the game. Need to do a specific mods for this great mod.

1. This AI launcher does not quite work as would like, but it works, maybe you will improve it.
2. Fully compatible with OHII.
3. No ID duplicate.
4. No changes in the ship's .eqp files.
5. Unfortunately, the game takes fire range for all cannons and AAguns from SIM.CFG and does not depend on the internal settings in .sim files and it can't be changed without affecting other guns.
6. Added the "Torpedo in the water!" audio report when torpedoes are dropped into the water (as in Wasserbomben_SoundFix). This also works for air torpedoes. Locations: sh.sdl, particles.dsd.
7. Added controller "obj_Turret" to all nodes cfg#T. The attached ship's .sim-files include changes of mods Ship Inertia and Enhanced FunnelSmoke, so installing after these mods.
8. Other minor changes, such as:
a) in DD Somers (.GR2) added nodes #H01, #N01 and these sensors (.sns file);
b) in PC Black Swan (.GR2) added node #R01, this is wrong - in file .sns sensor presence, and no node #R in ship. In the Black_Swan.fx removed Lost controllers;
c) in DD Rocket (.GR2) added node #R02 in a correct place and the radar sensor is moved from #R01 to #R02;
d) in DD Fletcher added node #R02 (more precisely - in the director_37 in guns_radars_01.fx new file).

I think TDW and SergButo worked independently on the same idea. I don't remember in which respects their implementations differed from each other though.

I think the range value stored in guns' controllers is the max range that their rounds can travel, whereas the global range factor in sim.cfg is sort of "max effective range". The game probably takes whatever is smaller among the above values as max firing range.

No, very accurate, very difficult to escape without warning or emergency dive maneuver if close.

I really like your idea to ensure combatibility with those mods, but I think we should also set people free to use them or not.

First off, thanks for all the latest improvements.

I had a couple of (possible) glitches as I started the Mare Nostrum campaign, using version OH2.5.

I had selected the mission Breakthrough Gibraltar but my objective was "Intercept British convoy before it reinforces Malta", which had a marker that was located south west of Sardinia and sounds more like an objective for "Deliveries for Malta".

Secondly, as luck would have it, I made it through the Straits of Gibraltar and ran into a convoy headed west. After sinking 7 freighters I had enough tonnage to complete "Breakthrough Gibraltar" but "Deliveries for Malta" also completed. I don't know if the tonnage should count for both objectives or if it's a bug.

( Oh, and the mission objective "Intercept British convoy before it reinforces Malta" is still in progress; not that that is a bug, but I thought I'd just add the info here.)

It depends on the distance. The first shot is very far and I can't customize it (fire range for AI cannons in Sim.cfg=7000). Naturally, from a distance of 7,000 meters it is useless. From distance of 500-1000 metres - it is dangerous.
I'm not fully satisfied, because torpedoes behave not absolutely how torpedoes.

In OH2 I see in the Library folder the file: particles_funnelsmoke.dat. It is fair to believe that all units have to use it. By and large, what's the difference what kind of the smoke out of the chimney?

About SI: When I used the CI, I had CTD. I found that CTD caused these ships: Comet, Dithmarschen, Emden, Type34, C1B and HogIsland (I now think that it individually for each computer). Ok! I took the original files and made the same changes. No CTD:o. Why? What has changed? I don't understand:hmmm:. It's miracle (joke).

I really like your idea to ensure combatibility with those mods, but I think we should also set people free to use them or not.
How to do it with such a variety of mods?
Obj_turret in ship's sim files perform the function of fire restrictions in certain sectors, it is possible to do without them, or add your own.

Alas - most of the work done on these missions was for the patrol missions.
Each objective (breakthrough Gibraltar etc) has about 10 patrol, 1 spy and 1 intercept missions attached - not all these intercept or spy/drop off missions have been checked and where I have changed the objective for the main mission - it has on occasion cause these to be outside the operation area

I will fix these one day:D

How are you finding the new missions using the MQK system?



Alas - most of the work done on these missions was for the patrol missions.
Each objective (breakthrough Gibraltar etc) has about 10 patrol, 1 spy and 1 intercept missions attached - not all these intercept or spy/drop off missions have been checked and where I have changed the objective for the main mission - it has on occasion cause these to be outside the operation area

I will fix these one day:D



Some times this can happen where two objective are met at the same time.
Most campaigns now have been changed to reduce this. but it can still happen

I can't speak to the MQK system yet as this is my first mission using that system. I do like the authentic looks.

As per the 'bugs', tack them onto the 'Things to Do' list and look into them when you can of course; I was just posting in case you weren't aware of them.

Again; thanks for the great mod. This was the first time squeaking past Gibraltar and I was lucky to get great conditions: night with medium fog. I was decks awash when a Dido cruiser came out of the fog moving very fast and passed behind me around 1000m away without seeing me. :o

I guess the better way to solve your problem is to enable only NewUIs plus OHII and see what will happen.. if the problem is gone then enable other mods one by one to see what mod cause this error.. if no, re-install the game and check once more..

Я думаю, что лучший способ для решения - оставить установленными только NewUI и OHII и посмотреть на результат.. если проблема уйдет, то устанавливать моды по одному, чтобы понять какой мод вызывает ошибку.. если останется, то переустановить игру и проверить ещё раз..

PS: чтобы google -translator корректно переводил и здесь кто-нибудь понял о чем речь, надо стараться писать без ошибок и простыми предложениями.. переводчик не понимает строения предложений русской разговорной речи и переводит чушь.. ну и проверять хотя бы на ошибки, а не копировать сразу.. :)

Basic information are the two letters and the first two digits. The second two digits should guess yourself. Example screenshot on your right approach to determine the exact location on the last two digits.
I want to notice same it was not in the SH3 (if I'm not mistaken).
P.S. A more precise layout (square within a square) does not allow the file itself ".raw".

Yes - the map will not show that level of grid. So you must plot it yourself, as you did correctly:up:

Not all patrol areas are like that (only when close to land and small radius) - most will be mid Atlantic (large radius) and will end "55" - so dead centre of each square

To issue a critical error "RAW" file should not. This is the usual graphic file. During my work with this file SH5 stably worked.

Regarding quality and more information. I was limited to the possibility of "RAW" file. I did exactly as much as he allowed me to.

Is the mtns-More traffic, nations and ships mod compatible with OHII v 2.5??? I dont know how to enable the mod and doesnt know if it is compatible with the 2.5 ver of OH.

Also idk if the mod is already included in OH II 2.5 as it states that a lot of ships are added (i think), as well i would like to know what version is the most suitable to fit an OHII v2.5 install.

sunk 3 merchants and my battery was down to 10% and the CO2 was also high the crew members doesn't listen.... and need to surface ....was around 18:00 pm when i surfaced ZBANG aircraft spoted.

I have been looking into this today and I am not sure we this is not working.
I have checked the areas for the missions you have listed and it looks correct.
So - I would say you are at the correct area.

Next is patrol type - non continuous - so you can leave the area and come back and the counter does not reset.

Next is patrol time.
Here the missions change. Most objectives are set in "timehours", but the patrol missions are set in patrol mins. However, the code only states "time".
So could something be wrong here?
Patrol mins is set to :-

Each patrol will give you three patrol areas.
You will get each new area after patrolling the set time and within the set radius.
The time is based on the radius - 80km = 48hrs and 250km will be longer.
Radio messages will be sent when you finished one patrol. It will also tell you your patrol info for the next one.
Radio messages may not always get through on the first try - can take days.
Your capt log will update straight away - also (if enabled) an objective icon will flash at top centre of screen.

I am still not sure why this all took 5 days:hmmm:

Perhaps others will let us know how they get on

i will do more test and will report back i will start a new capmpaign and try to finish all threww patrol areas to see if each other took that mutch time

If going to a spot where you are in proximity of British airspace then stay submerged most of the time . Recharge batteries at night . I have survived the dreadful position AN7953 but 1 lucky escape from a torpedo boat and 2 destroyers . Only because it was night and when I was spotted by the TB I ran at flank underwater so when the destoyers turned up I was far enough away that they couldn't ping me . I then surfaced and snuck away decks awash . This Coastal waters is extremely dangerous and realistic :yep: Thankyou Trevally .

It is not finished yet (it is still missing sensors, equipments, and lookouts, the latter just for eye-candy indeed), but it should already be importable in game anyway.

I was thinking about adding some landmarks around the British coasts. Mainly bridges and coastal forts. I have many of them on my HD, mostly in collada format. Converting the in obj files (importable by GR2 Editor/S3d) would require some work, but it is certainly possible :up:

I would appreciate if someone could provide me with a list of famous landmarks visible from the sea which are missing from game :salute:

Approaching Kiel my game goes CTD - easy to reproduce; glad i saved game the right place.


I found out it's caused by a german unit.

When i go to museum and watch german units the crash is just the next ship right side after the pretty hospital ship. ( i klick the right arrow with all units on)

Can anyone give a hint whats this unit and maybe even the problem with?

I use a mod setup with sobers list as a base layout, but some mods differ.

The usual suspects are already sort out and i dont use uncommon mods that add german units.

Han Solo Harbour Mod give's me ctd's when in range 25 km of Wilhelmhaven.
After removing it, everthing was fine.

I have in my MODS OH 2.5, Sjizzle's - MarineQuadrat Charts for NewUIs v. 0.00.2 activated and in my map MarineQuadrat Charts appear. But in Primary Objectives I have not AN7934 for example, or any MarineQuadrat as objective. I am in the career in the second mission (starting from Kiel). Maybe there are coordinates in the next missions, or I have to activate something?

first i found out museum is crashy as hell when game isn't not freshly bootet - you can only test that way - if you don't the CTD's appear with random units a lot.

2. learned the crash with the submarine im museum is here again :-( wtf...
I'll have to investigate - i'ts not your new mod i can say for sure :-)

thats not good - came will crash for sure in that state in campaign for sure.
That is i have learned from SHIII - if problems in museum also probs in game with high probability.

i bet some money on the merged sdl mod - you're with me?

I came to the same conclusion some time ago and it's always msvcr90.dll CTD...It's easiest to catch him if you load campaign in Kiel and then pay a visit to the museum without exiting the game.

If all your mods are installed correctly - you will need to try and delete a file from your game.
I posted about this a few posts back - sorry I cant check as I am not at my game PC

The file to delete is the "patrol.tsr" file within the common folder in the campaign folders

- go to roster germany in the museum
- klick "submarines"
- klick right "subs" and swith true units (it's not many sadly..)
- klick on all units
- circle to the ships with the right arrow.

- here my game crashes again, for now always on the "Emden" ship...


I'm now testing without the merge sdl and tdw flags patch disabled.
I also diasbled the destructable searchlights beta mod, but this seems to have no effect. Will re-enable

Since i disables the sdl i can alway klick on the submarins without crash,
but seems there is much randomness in it.

in SH3 i found out soundmods were a big problem for my setup,
esp. when the game sound were modded to
like higher bitrate; mono-> stereo and / or higher / lower sampling rate.
So i did some mod for personal use were i have changed all (modded) sounds back to the default values from vanilla game. I never had probs with game stability with SH3 after that.

Conclusion? I don't now but i'll do that "mod" again some day for SH5
and change all sound files back to vanilla.

In neither way this has to be seen als ranting against OH or even other mods or complaining. I just want to share experiences.
I would not even play without OH and some others.


I'll do just a quick diry test "mod" with all original soundfiles from vanilla copied back overwriting all modded.
Should show if theres some difference.

And you wont get any CTD, that's the whole point...This particular CTD is very elusive and it can't be directly connected to any mod or unit...TDW is probably the only one person here who can actually do something regarding this issue.

Hi Torpedo

If all your mods are installed correctly - you will need to try and delete a file from your game.
I posted about this a few posts back - sorry I cant check as I am not at my game PC

The file to delete is the "patrol.tsr" file within the common folder in the campaign folders

Yes - some missions are scripted (Baltic :yep:) and are marked with map marker.
Most are patrol and all of these are by grid.
Some missions are outside the grid for MQK and so use Lat/Long or map markers

Hiya's,

Need some help please ..............

I had to do a windose reinstall after one of the dogs decided to use my kb as a piano lol

Sorted windose (ftiw w7 x64 ultimate)

Installed sh5/patched

I obviously have no data in sh5 folder to edit to bypass the tut (documents folder)

I have fortunately salvaged my tdw configs for patcher and viewer and happenchance my jsgme configs (usb mem stick ftw lol)

So how do i go about installing my items back with OH2.5 (and now i see a patch for patrol)

eg :

1 start plain career/ do tut
2 install mods OH2.5 + patrol patch of course
3 tdw generic patch with saved gps
4 tdw options viewr with my saved config

????

I must be missing the obvious i know hehe

Hiya's

I was over complecating myself ..................

I was trying to do tut etc then enable mods/patcher etc etc

All i needed to do was install sh5/patch it ........... then update uplay ............. then install all mods/generic patch/optionsviewer

Goto saved games on loadup of sh5, load a save from last week (obviously all mods needed as per the save i used)

Hey presto i'm back hunting along the eastern coast of good ole blighty

(i don't seem to be getting grid refs to hunt ? , will have a squint through the posts here when i have chance)

It has to do with their 'is docked' status. Some units respond to enemy fire when docked (e.g. battleships), and some not. We can only hope tha TDW will fix this oddity one day. The optimum would be all the docked units to react to enemy attacks with a random delay. The icing on the cake would be if this random delay was affected by crew veterancy and by night status.

Good question. I am not 100% sure, but IIRC this topic has already been discussed in the past, and there was a good reason for Trevally using docked ships in ports instead of stationary but still 'active' units. I wish I could remember what this reason was though :hmmm:

Does this mean that the Capital ship is moved to a different position?

I can see what looks like a blocking ship at an angle and a lot of DD’s using searchlights but no Capital ship.

I ran a course line between this ship and the shore line at 1 knot but found nothing.

All the DD’s seem to be static although I have heard a few pings so I came down to 1 knot.

Any idea’s?

I guessed this was so and I was more or less in the right place. I might be looking to close to the shore and need to come out a bit.

There is a merchant that is suspiciously placed possibly as a torpedo screen. I think this where I need to look at first.

I had fog that lasted from dawn to dusk and then it rained and also reduced visibility. The sun came out but could not break the fog down.

I had nearly 5 hours of game play all for nothing.

I think I know the reason now... It's probable because of the game "feature" when unit reach final way point it will just disappear from the SH world ...:nope:

Options are to delete at final waypoint or not.

Docked ships will stay where they are put - non docked, will wander off
So all ships at piers or one that are only there for visual effect are set as docked/zombie

First of all i want to thank you all for being such an awesome community and the modders who made this possible.

Alas..i am at a loss. I've decided do try out sh5 again after a few years and after a few days of forum stalking i mostly figured out what mods to use to make the game playable.
But here's my problem whatever i try i can't seem to get the Baltic Operation mission to complete, it looks like this(also the bar doesn't fill up when i sink ships.

u have some patches enabled from advanced user in TDW's generic patcher

If u have the latest version of TDW's Genericpatcher do not enable patches from Advanced User.
If u don't have the lates version of TDW's GenericPatcher then do not enable the fallowing patches:
- Disable Orbit Listener checks in main game loops
- Disable Orbit Listener account sharing check
- Render Patch ( from rande patch u can enable the fallowing patches 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 13,14 )

When you selected the 'Base Mod in Folder 1' you also need the 'Torpedo Patch' that is in 'Folder 3'

FX_Update_0_0_22_ByTheDarkWraith (Folder 1)

FX_Update_0_0_22_Torpedoes (modified for torpedoes failure patches) (Folder 3)

Folder 1 and Folder 3 are inside a 'Folder called Mods.'

Hi guys I’m struggling in Scapa been playing for 10 days and still cannot find a capital ship.

I have done 3 searches x 6,000 meter lines at 500 – 1,000 – 1,500 meters from the shore line at a speed of 1 knot at periscope depth.

There is a destroyer close to the channel exit.

A tanker is moored 2,400 meters from the shore line and a destroyer stationary a further 800 meters behind it.

Daylight visibility is very limited due to fog.

Night is pitch black so due to destroyer searchlights I have to keep the periscope down low just above the water line.

There are two bays that show on the map down from the channel exit.

I thought the tanker might be some sort of defensive block ship but there does not seem to be anything behind it to the shore.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as I am at the point now where I have had it with this and am ready to abort this mission and continue with E.B.C.W.

Well I had to give up on this in the end.

When the sun burnt of the fog I had clear daylight.

I used the external camera and found destroyers, a tanker, two freighters but no capital ships.

I had my periscope just above the water line at 0 degrees travelling at 1 knot.

This is the important point, should the external camera have found these capital ships in the area that you said, visibility was very good?

I have restarted again from Kiel and will give it another go, I hope this time I might be luckier and importantly quicker, a lot of time wasted for nothing.

Greetings Trevally .. a belated happy anniversary for this year and for last year, since I haven't been here in quite a while. :D

I recently upgraded to OHII 2.5 and TDW UIs 742.

I still can't get No hydrophones on surface to run without CTD :wah:(there has to be a workaround for this somewhere), so I don't run it. My mod soup works fine without it (except having to listen to hydrophone contacts while surfaced :o) .. until ...

... after starting a new campaign, skipping the tutorial, getting my mission orders, saving and reloading to ensure that all the options were available with the equipment guy, setting sail, getting to the Danzig patrol zone, sending in my contact report, and then getting the first objective complete message, the game crashes shortly afterwards.

My location is usually 10-15 kms from that lower objective icon. In the initial attempt, I hadn't seen the German destroyers, most likely due to the time of day. In the latter attempts, one or more had been destroyed. In the final attempt, the Polish destroyers were converging on the three Germen destroyers. All these ships and the Polish submarine were 8-15 kms away from me.

I did a fresh game reinstall updated to 1.2. I have tested with full mod soup and finally with the core ones listed below to no avail. The problem happened the first time in the late afternoon game time, and then the next attempts were early morning game time. The initial approach was from the north east. The last approaches were from the east south east.

My configs are my adjustments to the Commands, Gameplay Settings, and Main files that I have made over time, and incorporating my key settings. Not many changes, but enough that I didn't want to have to keep editing things every time I reinstalled the game or mods, and I don't think they would be anything that would cause CTD. That mod also includes my adjusted graphics files for the keyboard.

My Map and Gradient is my edited graphics that I have culled from mods over time, and edited to my liking, including map icons for ports, etc. Nothing that I can imagine would CTD. This negates the need for those MQK mods, since I already have that stuff.

FX_Update_0022 Torpedos: This is optional, isn't it, and is only required if you add the associated patch in TDW's patcher, no?

TDW IRAI 0041 causes CTD with TDW Subflags. You can see my post regarding that here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2205103&postcount=329. Because I use v0039, I use the starshell fix as well. I can't run 0041 because of it. I want to keep my flags. :up: I also left a post for TDW in his NewUIs thread regarding sensor file compatibility and such, and am waiting for response to that that can hopefully help me get all his updated mods working together.

Regarding Beast's fixes, are they also necessary for OHII 2.5 to run? I haven't used his Equipment mod, because I could never get it working over the last couple of years and gave up on it. If it isn't, then I'd prefer not to mess with it, since I'd have to modify my own conning tower emblem info again as well. Now, if it can fix the no hydrophone on surface thing AND not CTD like it has in the past, then I'll definitely have to take a look at it.

I was going to add the 7A conning fix the other day in fact, but forgot. It's only a graphic texture issue, so I'm guessing that wouldn't create CTD, since it never caused me grief not having it up until now with any previous versions of OHII that I had running.

Trevally doesn't specify anything in the OP that any of those things like Beast's mod and the torpedo mod are musts, or that particular versions of IRAI or FX are required, so I'm curious to know from him where that stands. :hmmm:

If you read the document for FX_Update_0_0_22 you must select one of the patch files.

If you were to use FX_Update_0_0_21 then there are no patch files.

The fixes and glitch mods should be used whether or not you are using OH II

Check out the readme’s that come with these and you will see what they are both fixing.

It’s a natural progression to update mods as they become available as they are either making enhancements or are fixing problems that have cropped up in the previous version.

Sub Flags is a contentious issue as Raven did some tweaking with this mod as it was causing ctd’s.

I notice that on his last mod list although he has IRAI 0_0_39 Sub Flags is missing.

I also had to remove mine because of ctd's.

So if you do get any ctd’s you know where to look first.

You must be a large amount of mods overwriting each other as there seems to be mods that are doing the same sort of things in a different way if you know what I mean.

I am really surprised that you are not having ctd problems as Stormy’s mods do not get on with OH II and TDW NewUI.
