I really have no idea how this happened. Travelling full ahead full past the north of england at max time compression when suddenly I get the infamous "We have flooding sir". Quickly dial down to normal time and check out whats happening and I find I'm beached on a tiny spec of land that can not be seen on the map till you zoom in real close:

.

Ahem! there is a small bit of land on the north end of England called Scotland you know!

Lol. My mistake:damn: , I should have put north of the UK or north of Scotland. Slip of the key board. I tend to type with my brian turned off it seems these days.

Ok, I'm still fairly new to SH3. This week I installed SH3 Commander, some nice features.
But my first commander just got retired after his first patrol in a brand new type IXC.
Deciding I wanted to keep on sailing I decided to click on "continue career with new commander" option. Something seems to have gone wrong though as I started the game and was presented with this unusual creature.http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m341/Keppabar/Glitchboat.jpg
It appears to have the number, and tower of my old boat, and the date in the war is the same. But it's a type IIA! and if having the IX/3 tower on a type 2 hull wasn't odd enough, it's BACKWARDS! Looks like Bernhard has relatives in shipyard construction.

Sadly not, I know I should be able to on an IX/3 tower but it'll only mount one light flack in this case.

It may be because GWX is not always funny, like yesterday when I got surrounded by no less than 8 destroyers, working in pairs, in the bay close to Reykjavik, on shallow water too. Seriously, what the hell? :damn:
Or that time when I found Jan Mayen whaling station to sport a full size port but without any ships whatsoever (I was counting on some whale factory ships only to find squat).

I have a ussue with my engines when I surface, Only one is running and my speed is cut down.:-?(Uses the same amount as if they were both running.)RTFM! :know: One of your engines is being used to recharge your batteries when you first surface. You can use the Chief Engineer station to switch to normal operation but your batteries will not recharge if you do.

With only one engine on propulsion duty your top speed has to be reduced.

I suppose it's silly to start a new thread about this so I just ask it here.

How do you make a signature of your own on your profile here on subsim? :haha: I can't find the option to do it

Something similar happened actually, the RHS Adrias, a greek hunt 3 class lost her entire bow after she struck a mine, despite that she managed to sail 730 nm and reach Alexandria. here's the link

In WW1 the Tribal class destroyer HMS Nubian had her bow wrecked by a torpedo, but survived. Later another of the type, HMS Zulu, had her stern destroyed by a mine. Even though not true sisters, and in spite of a 3-1/2 inch difference in beam, the two were mated together and named HMS Zubian.

It was a good day to be at sea... we had already sent a small merchant boat to the bottom of "der channel". While watching the fruits of our deeds, we were spotted by a small boat on patrol. We opened fire as it closed in...

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a400/popcorn2721/SH3Img6-9-2009_224151_265.jpg

Not to be ran off by a puny little patrol boat we dove after striking a few good shots to the vessel. So we ran, zigzagging across the english channel for around 7 hours only to find this same Elco Torpedo boat... a few hundred meters out waiting for us and still aflame.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a400/popcorn2721/SH3Img6-9-2009_224823_843.jpg

I thought it best to put an end to this nonsense and opened fire with the deck gun
http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a400/popcorn2721/?action=view&current=SH3Img6-9-2009_22521_953.jpghttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a400/popcorn2721/SH3Img6-9-2009_22521_953.jpg

After duking it out and getting chewed up a little bit (this boat got the best of my ego and I couldnt "just let it go"), she finally gave up and slowly joined her sister in the locker.

I laughed to myself and thought of the words of Grand Mof Tarken (Star Wars: A NEW HOPE) saying "What? Evacuate? at our moment of triumph? Surely you overestimate their chances..."

A really bad storm. I haven't done anything to the image, I just went to external view to see why I couldn't get over 5kts, even at flank. If you look at the image, I'm showing 0kts. That was at ⅔ ahead. Then the boat was lifted by the swell and became a hovercraft for a little while. I gave up in the end and went submerged, at least I could manage 2kts that way!

Remember the times I was into Sh3 (and still are) and just loved to make hilarious stuff? Apparently, I found some of the stuff hiding in my old Photobucket account.
