Oooops sorry Herr Drebbel -- I will do better :yep:

Only thing is "Verdammt" means condemned...and that way round I wasnt condemning god -- Twas the music that is contemptible and should be condemned.
(with my little knowledge of european languages hat on ;) )

...but I know what you mean... and the other word saying that they had questionable parentage is allowed ?? :p

Sailor Steve
07-05-06, 11:38 AM
Apparently little-known fact. "Damn" also means condemn. So you'd rather "condemn" God?

Actually that's wrong too. The phrase is not condemning God, it's asking (or demanding) that God condemn something or someone for you, preferably to an eternity in hell. That's why it's not polite to use the phrase.

And Herr Kaleun was wondering why Bernard was not plotting accurately...;)

At the same time, on U-504, medical conditions were growing worse and worse every day due to a strange and unheard of sickness occurring. After the twenty-seventh day at sea, this abomination was sighted in the control room.

I was a sailor; what do you think?

Still, it's a public board and out of respect for some of the very young people who sometimes come here the so-called adults should try acting a little more...adult. Respect for others is something we all need to learn over again.

Very simple Chris,

In-Game Press CTRL + F11 to take Screenshots

after that Go To Program files > Ubisoft > SH3 Folder and there they are in BMP format

And BMP occupies +- 2 MB so please Convert them to JPEG format before posting them online.
(MS paint , or any of your other installed Photo/image editor)

There are also numerous free sceenshot progs that can run in the background and independantly take a pic with the press of a button. I prefer the use of one called a Clipboard Picture Saver. It's pretty easy to find and it has a number of options of which format and how large you want your pic to be. Hitting print screen will automatically make it work.

:up:Just an alternative. It's pretty easy to find online.

The best one I've come across (small and free and works very well) is FS Screen; http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2006-14,GGLG:en&q=fsscreen

You just put it in a directory and run it from there, when you press the PrtScn button it dump a pic.

I remember seeing photos of a sunderland that had crash landed at a fighter airbase. It had received damage to the hull of the aircraft and therefore couldn't land on water. The pilot ordered the crew to bail before landing (some stayed as one ot the crew was hurt) The pilot landed the aircraft on the grass verge next to the main runway.:o

He left a 5 1/2 inch wide track 500 yards or so long. The aircraft stayed in one piece and all walked away from the landing. I reckon the pilot didn't have to buy drinks that night! I believe he was awarded a DFC for the landing.

The aircraft was removed and and repaird and was later placed back in service.

We would laugh if say Tom Cruise did that in a cheesy WW2-film. Awesome.
I saw an episode of JAG in which the hero saved a crippled F-14 by having them lower their tailhook and then using his armored glass canopy to push them out over the water, thus letting them eject where they could be picked up by friendly forces. I was choking, laughing out loud and shouting "B***S***!" all the way to the end of the show, when they had a disclaimer saying the episode was dedicated to a Phantom pilot who saved his wingman by doing just that over VietNam.

You're right, sometimes real life is weirder than the movies.

I know its not all that humourous, but I was just crusiing along east on England, when It appeared I was being attacked by trhe entire RAF and USAAF together. There were at least 40 planes around, a mix of sunderlands, B17s, hurricanes and that other british bomber, the landplane one (Can't remember its name). That was when the humour set in. Most of the planes got destroyed, either through mid-air colisions, or flying through the spray of water of bombs and depth charges. I survived, because all of them were bombing about a kilometer away from where I was. THANK GOD!

It's a fault in the stock game which can be sorted, 40 planes that must be a new world record.

Here's the answer.

To change the number of aircraft those attack you to a more realistic setting

Just go to. ubisoft silent hunter lll data. cfg. airstrikes. Look for logic between air sessions=15 Change this to =25. This will cut down on the constant air attacks in 1943.

Bernard finally got his own boat and...

(What really happened that it is me in type VIIB returning from patrol and I decided to say hello to a type II (Das Boot style), but this one decides to put engines full back and turn to block my way, collision was avoided by a meter or two, as you can see)

Spotted this big target, dived to PD, fired 2 torps at her, surfaced, used the deck gun to finish her off. She broke in two, but refused to sink. Its late 1944. I must admit that I was saving every few mins, and probably would have tried again if i died, but somehow I got out of it... Its amazing just how deep a type XI can go when you really need it to!
Survived, yeah, but i took one (probably four or five) hell (s) of a pounding, I came out of it with about 7% HI, some major flooding, no periscopes, flak guns, deck gun, left screw and rudder or stern planes. Wasn't very nice...

Im going to load up one of the saves, and see if i can battle it out on the surface... :hmm: :yep: :arrgh!:!

Makes me chuckle this subject of Bernard ... we Brits and the Americans pronounce names like Bernard (and Maurice) VERY differently, it puts a whole different spin on things when talked about on this site.

Example to all the Brits - Imagine saying in a broad Lancastrian accent "Bernard", now try it in an American accent (Burn-Ard)... oh and the word "Duty" too sounds like "Doody" in American :)

That's the scene when Ensign Chihiro runs into the Radio Room to find the Sonar man and Radio Officer have become pigs from drinking Yubaba's u-boat special coctail, right?

Poor girl.
