Hi im new to this sub sim, played SH3 and SH1 due to my farther being a sub'ber in hes earlier days and my self just quit my job in the royal danish navy due to contract expiration :).. i hope you guys could help optimize my experince with SH5.

okay, then i will use that mod instead, im gonna make a clean reinstall of sh5 and then ad the mods, how would the proper mod list look like then you add the stormy hotfix 3 and the dynamic 2.9 mod?

Hi Samuel

Dynamic Environment is a difficult one for me to advise on as there are various different elements that make this 28 mod selection a personal choice.

The 3 that I have put in your list are the essential ones.

If your system is all singing and dancing then you may not need mod number 2.

I have 4 gigs of graphics and I still find it better with number 2 than without it.

All mods added should be put in there number order after the Main Mod and before the Main Mod Low Resolution Patch.

The elements are >

Mods with high resolutions

Mods with Medium resolutions

Mods with low resolutions

Mods using different wind strengths

Mods using light and darkness and water colours.

Sound mod.

You can only use 1 of a sequence type a – b or c.

I suggest that you go to My tutorial Post #119 where you can see all the mods on show.

If you go to my Tutorial Post #35 then you will see mod lists and the more popular Dynamic Environment mods and how these mods are placed in the mod list.

It is important to look at the instruction document that comes with the download so you get a good understanding of how these mods operate and also how Dynamic Environment affects the weather.

reading these posts I decided to try to load SH5 again. Kept crashing on me previously.

I couldn't figure out how to completely uninstall everything, and clean out the registry. I did uninstall from the Ctrl Panel and run CClean But suppose I will start by trying to re-install.

I finally broke down and bought this game. When it came out, I recoiled in horror at both the new control "interface" and the system requirements. Years later, my laptop runs SH5 smoothly, and the efforts of so many great modders have made this game playable and, dare I say it, fun! The only downside is that I no longer have room for SH4 on my hard drive. Oh well, time for another new computer… :ping:

Hi guys ! Im an architect i live in Venezuela and have been a follower of the silent hunter series since the III part went out never been in any comunity or mods for this game. I recently bought SH5 since i heard with mods is just close to what the previous games were. So lets go out and hunt some !:)

Sort of a re-introduction here, as I was a member here before but download restrictions for inactive accounts require a post to be created and authorised by a moderator...

So hi (again), at least this time I can say I have experience of playing Silent Hunter III, but just bought Silent Hunter V, and I know that my experience of the earlier installment was massively improved by certain mods - I'm looking for that benefit from this later installment too.

I once played a real-time patrol on SHIII for a week, but I doubt I'll ever be doing that again heh.

I am very please to be here.
I am a gane simulation fun and I am trying to enter in SH5 fantastic world.
I've played SH3 many years ago but in simple mode and noy played enough, was so stupid!
