installing this mod makes a big difference:
IRAI (Intelligent Random AI) by TheDarkWraith http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=171973 I sometimes wish that I had not installed this (especially if you have three destroyers circling above you after an attack....) but it is a needed mod!
