all hollywood, all the time.
notice the leaf blower in the background. (wind machine for the deck shots) too funny.
we dont make films on a shoestring budget, its more like a thread.

Funny thing happened on a patrol tonight...
I was trying to sneak by a destroyer (dead speed, silent running) and just before i passed her sonar deadzone, she spots me.
I was in very shallow waters so there was no hiding for me, i had to do something.
I ordered my boat to go flank speed / left full rudder to line up my aft torpedo while the destroyer was turning and managed to hit her stern pretty good.
I was very happy with this shot since i literally crippled her - she had no more propeller :yeah:

My boat is a piece of junk right now just because I started to play Open Horizons using the "silentotto" trick, so my boat is "naked" and I got 0 renown. But soon as I will make more renown points I will make me boat shine by installing all the weaponry and technology available at the end of the war. It will look awesome, just perfect for showoff in ports and attract the local chicks :O:

If i am looking at the date when he posted the picture is 01-27-2011 06:27 AM - that will match with second list.

If we think, the mod that changed the deck color could be ,,sobers multi color mod V2'' or ,,Dark_Interior_V1''. In your place i would try both and see if is working - if not i am sure that sober will tell you what mod used when online!:up:

Yes, those are the stock icebergs I put in the OH campaign before TDW's Iceberg mod. Only problem is that you can sail through them, they have no collision detection and they appear on map as neutral merchant ships. But they are just incredible beautiful, I sailed right through the "gate" visible in the picture, was such a cool and also weird feeling.

Ram is really cheap now-a-days, you should be able to buy a few gigs and plug em in no problem.

I have the ingame AA slider all the way to the right and AA mode in catalyst is Multi-Sample AA . Use the Environment Mod i put up on the download section and install last , see if that makes a diffrence with AA on high . If it does then you know its mods causing the chugg . 11.2 drivers are out .

I will post later a few more with W-Clear latest mod update.. smashing shots, I have no word to describe the beauty of the game now. Apparently he broke the invisible wall in the sky and now we can fly through the clouds. Here is a preview, I will post more soon as I get sorted the tons of shots I made.

The sky is so beautiful that I didn't even realized that a bomber is attacking until she was not right upon us. Good things is that I have some serious hardware on board. Bad is that Ive got not enough ammo for the fast fire rate that these hardware have, so Ive run out of ammo in just a minute. But was enough to make the bomber bleed.

Booth of us were depleted the ammo, so the bomber was just buzzing around. Very annoyed, I reported the "contact". Surprise, in just few minutes.. smoke on the horizon. I was about to panic and crash dive when I realized that the new contact is friendly.. with us. Here is the bomber fleeing the scene when she realized that this not funny anymore.

Later on, we got another plane on radar, but I got no visul contact. So I used the cam to locate it and I was very surprised to see why we had no visual. The plane was flying through the clouds.. amazing view. Yes, the world is round.

No mod needed, its the C/41 type sub fully upgraded. You will get it later at the end of 42, begining of 43.
And when I start to fire the flak guns, its like Christmas ...

These screens are incredible. I'm getting the game soon. It is in the mail.

I'm concerned about my processor being up to the task. Can someone tell me if it is sufficient? This rig runs SH4 no problem but SH5 is obviously a bit more demanding. Will the e6700 cut it?

e6700 (dual core, 2.66Ghz)
9800GT 1(gb) (will soon have a GTX 460)
Win XP32
3Gb RAM

And yeah all those screens are with updated env. mod EXCEPT for the ones with fog. New env.update kicks butt.

Indeed, the latest enviro update is stunning. Now that the invisible wall barrier in the sky is removed and the clouds are free, following a plane flying through them is an incredible experience. And the sun... its just incredible. I dont even care about the war and sinking ships. Never saw such a cool environment in a game so far, just amazing. Great work W_Clear!

I can't go so far up that I go above/through the clouds though. I don't know if it has to do with that a while back I enabled some of my many mods and the free cam no longer went close to ships as it used too.

Thanks Otto. I remember that scene, was one of the most amazing one I ever saw in SH nor any game. I was rushing to intercept a lonely merchant, far up North in December 43, when the wind started to blow creating high waves and the sky got cloudy.

What was absolutely amazing were the multiple layers of clouds racing through the sky, the lower ones were very white and the high ones very dark.. like in real life when a big storm is coming. My jaws dropped and I even lost my contact as I was admiring this virtual nature showoff. This is also result of the W_Clear latest enviro update, stunning effects all around. Cant wait to jump back in the game again, since this enviro update Im absolutely addicted to SH5 :P

I tried weather_cleare mod. Unfortunately, it's too much "white" for me there, too bright. But the sunrises /sunsets are very beautifully done. I liked them. I would prefer a tweaked one for my taste.
