Installation:
1. All files have to be from 1 server !!!
2. Download and install 7-zip from http://www.7-zip.org/
3. Put all 3 archives (WarAceCampaign 4.1final_FULL_XP.z.001, WarAceCampaign4.1 final_FULL_XP.z.002, WarAceCampaign 4.1final#_FULL_XP.z.003 on the desktop
4. Left mouse click on the first part 001, then right mous click -> choose 7-zip ->extract files-> "ok"
5. Now there should be a folder called "WarAceCampaign 4.1_final FULL_XP" with a size of 4,30 GB, and 10.058 files
6. Enable the mod via ModEnabler and wait about 15-25 minutes (many files) or wait until your Harddisk LED is not lightning always
That should do the trick ;)

Very nice work. Thanks a lot. Like dcb I was also impressed with the water and the waves and how the ships behaved on the water. All looked much more realistic than what I'm used to. Did you make any changes there or am I hallucinating?

There are several hundred changes in the mod... like every supermod.
In the download there´s a readme that lists all mods that are included.
But these changes are not described in a manual!
Weopon changes?
What changes do you exactly mean? torpedoes, aa guns, depthcharges?
Sinking model in version 2,15 is still leaned on stock version...

Its a ****-boot. Back in those days they didnt had toilets and sewers. So the soldiers were taken on these boots to the open see, they dumped their thing and they they returned to the battlefield!.

This looks absolutely wonderful...I may have to do a dual install with GWX 2.1 as I can't bear to part with the latter since I dropped in the Community vessels mod. I am very impressed with the wave mechanics in the preview vid. Big improvement. Can't wait to see and play the finished product!

Waves and other work looks impressive!
Guys & Gals make sure your video card / drivers & pc are up to speed for the full version of this mod.
I remember in 2.15 there was lots of action everywhere, if you couldn't find jazz & targets you were doing something wrong.
It may be a late suggestion but multiple D/L sources, even an extra filefront page perhaps would be good instead of people trying to hit the same place all at once.
Personaly I don't like rapidshare, and avoid sites with flashy nonsence and pop-up yukk. A plain old FTP source would be the nutz.

unfortunately I have to disappoint you a little bit.. sure the skripted operations were all reworked and also the english messages are translated. but the english radio messages are not complete. they do not match with the events because we missed team members who could have done this work. But I think you (community) have great possibilities to make the english radio messages complete.

WAC 3.0 looks amazing, it's probably the best mod, and I have never seen such a beautiful waves in SHIII before.
There is only one thing that broke my heart - I have a CTD during loading when trying to start a patrol or single mission. Naval academy and museum works well.
I have a fresh install of SHIII + WAC3.0, no other mods, no Commander. My system is Core2Duo6750, Radeon HD3870, 2 Gb RAM. I played GWX without problems.
All that remains for me are Museum and training.:)

Please do a reinstall!

The only thing... I have russian version of XP.:hmm:

BTW: There is a difference between messages_de.txt and messages_en.txt in WAC. Messages_de.txt begins from "#Date (Begin Transmision)" etc. but in messages_en.txt there is a "s#Date (Begin Transmision)"
But maybe this is not fatal... I don't know

I first tried it starting the career in January using sh3 commander 3.13 which I believe is the latest version. I removed commander and re-installed the mod, same thing happens when starting with the default April start.
This was on a clean install of the game & 1.4b patch.

I just d/led the 3 files, but after the extraction of *.001 a WarAceCampaign 3.0_final FULL.7z archieve was created in the folder WarAceCampaign 3.0_final FULL which cannot be extracted by 7z and obviously cannot be put in the MODS folder :down:.
I also didn't notice any automatic extraction of *.002/ 003:down:
I am obviously doing something wrong according to the installation manual which I follow, but I don't know what!

This problem also experienced another user.. Only a complete new download from my FF server was the solution.

I don´t know.. becaus eI never played GWx or NYGM. But campaign files are bigger than in any other mod, I think. So the loading time should be a bit longer. But yo have to test yourself!

lol..... :o now its really about time to replace my aging 6600 with a 8800gtx. The 5200+ 64x2 duo should be still fine though i better add RAM to the 2gigs running vista.
I managed to enable OLC special (the v1.2.6 bombed out) and some of my favourite mods with it. SH3com seems to works as well. Cant do any serious check outs with it til i get the new stuff delivered. It's like playing flight sim 2 on a c64...:/\\k:thank god there is a the multish3 utility.
-> hotfix fullversion: we don't know if we upload complete 1,2Gb beause of a small fix ;)
I just saw on the WAC web that the fix is really small and available already, downloading now the whole thing, looking forward to try that impressive sea :up:
About loading times: I fear that they will be longer than GWX then :shifty:
But anyway if the main amount of events is in the scripted layer, I might disable it for the periods I'm not able to see historic events :hmm:
P.S. One suggestion (I already started doing something similar with the GWX campaign): Why not split the campaign in years to help loading times? i.e. a JSGME enablable separated set of files for 1939-40-41-42-43-44-45, so you would just enable the ones of the year you are in.

Greetings. I have taken the liberty to correct 51 errors in the English radio messages file.
The German radio messages file is in order.
No messages were deleted.
No messages were added.
There were a few timers out of 'wac', and incorrect tab spacing on many messages were cutting off whole or partial messages. I don't know if that was from the 7-z compression or compressing after a translation, but that doesn't matter.
This is not a MOD critical file or critical fix but simply repairs the messages_en file.

i checked your homepage and i am very impressed! :rock: two questions: are there any changes for the AI (sensors)? i didnt read about this... (so, it wouldnt be as hard as gwx) and second: is there a 16 km atmosphere or is it the stock 8 km atmosphere?
and third, to the others: what about the loading times? longer as gwx or shorter?

Could you please tell me your system specs? because some people have low FPS but the mod ran smoothly in our tests..
the issue with the torp doors.. I usually open all dooors in the tower.. then all doors keep open!
EDIT: thx for the atmosphere kudos :) thats what we tried to achieve! now.. keep making screens an spread them ;)

Another guy in ther german forum reports 8-9 FPS in harbour wihtout these quality settings like antialiasing or filtering

From Wilhelmshaven some 30 FPS (this is OK for me).
These 8-9 FPS happened to me in the past when I forgot my internet connection active!

yeah.. delete the d3d9 files.
should solve the problem. otherwise your download may be damaged.
the mod folder should have 4,4gb uncompressed!

I think if the career does not start the download has an error.
you should download again!
the sailors too much? might be.. but should also be "repaired" because the latest files on megaupload had a small update which include now the hotfix and other small changes.
files on filefront will be online again in the evening after the football match ;)

The size is 4.45gb unzipped.
I insttalled it without d3d9.dll & d3d9.cfg after reading earlier posts and now it runs just fine!

Sorry to be a pain but I am having a bit of trouble with the files for WAC 3.0.
I have downloaded all three files from the megaupload site, and when I highlighted and right clicked the first file, - WarAceCampaign 3.0_final FULL.7z.001, then highlighted `7zip`, I got quite a long list of choices….of which I double clicked the fourth one (which was “Extract to WarAceCampaign 3.0_final FULL\“ .
This it did, and I ended up with a new folder called `WarAceCampaign 3.0_final FULL`.
But now with a WinRAR archive file in it to the size of 942,080 KB (?).
Have I used the correct procedure up to this point, or do I now have to unzip this file?
Appreciate some advice here. Thanks

I had the same problem. So I downloaded from the filefront side and those files worked....don't know if it had anything to do with it or not..you might want to try that..

Did a fresh install of driect drive SH3 1.4, with a clean slate meaning uninstalled commander first, deleted all leftover files and such.
The d3d9.dll & d3d9.cfg file had to be deleted, what their purpose is I dunno but after that & the hot patch & the messages fix all went well.
I am glad to see the repacking part isn't nessesary anymore as was in previous versions.
Fired up the game on it's own; and without letting the cat out of the bag but - WOW on the intro movie :up:

Loading time on my machine was about 30% longer compared to GWX.
2.8 dual core 4 gigs dual channel gskill.
The dummy ships are a nice alternate for us guys not wanting to roll through the academy anymore.
Harbour traffic - heavy, but managable for panning and eye candy. Nice binocular screen btw.

Speaking of the crew, ran into a problem with using SH3 Commander.
I have Commander 3.0, installed it, things seemed ok at first.
But after I started the game and went into the boat options-screen before a patrol, I could not select another boat. In fact no others were listed. Then when I tried to load the patrol it said "to many officers go to barracks". Ok so I tied to make another career, and noticed the amount of officers & crew were back to defaults and Not what Wac 30 changed them to. Then when I tried to create a new career with commander it would only show a type II and the other boxes/options were blank or empty.
And so I would think that some files are needed for Commander to be compatable with this new version?
To check that I uninstalled wac with jsgme and completely deleted commander. placed a fresh copy of WAC 3.0 in jsgme and reinstalled withoiut Commander.
Then it was fine, I mean what the Mod seemed to install, options back in place, as many careers as you want, but from the game interface, not starting from Commander. So, I would think I installed it correctly, but maybe Commander at least v3 needs to know what the deal (files) is. If someone could double check that.
I mean I will have withdrawls without SH3Commander.

I have a couple of questions and I'm hoping someone can help me out. First off,
is there a way to change the resolution to 1680X1250? I noticed when I downloaded WAC 3.0 it had the resolution fix file, I loaded it and tried to change
the resolution with the text editor in the cfg file and the game wouldn't load. Secondly, how can you run GWX 2.1 and WAC 3.0, or can you even run them both at all? Both these mods are absolutely amazing and I would like to be able to use them. One last question, is it a good idea to use Silent Hunter Commander with this mod? To me, that's another must have. Here are my system specs if that helps:

I am however running into the "frozen gauges @ 12o'clock" issue. I've tried saving and reloading; no go. The only thing that gets rid of it is starting a new patrol.
Type VIIC starting from St. Nazaire in '42. New install of SH3 and just WAC + texture fix installed via jsgme.
I also noticed the fumo antenna is out of place on the conning tower.
XP, Core 2 duo, 2gigs DDR, 8800GTX.
I noted the St. Nazaire hotfix in the first post but the link is broken. I'll try starting from another base and see if it makes any difference.

Thanks for the help. I must've done something wrong. Not real computer savvy here. Renamed the folder with WAC in it and loaded up GWX. WAC worked fine for awhile and then started to crash. I tried the resolution fix for SH3 on WAC, I'm sure that had something to do with it. Once the load with WAC started to crash it affected the GWX load. I deleted it all and I'll try it again. Anyway, thanks for the help. We'll keep pluggin'. :up:

Careers from one install will not work with another
There is a program called multiSH3 which gives you the chance to seperate the careers by install
Or just add the modname after your Kpts
IE
Joachim Schepke WAC
Otto Kretschmer GWX
Etc
Then you know which goes with which

I'm not sure. I d/l from file front and have 7 zip setup so that it opens a window that shows the compressed files and directories. I do have to select all the directories as only one is selected when I first open the archive. I use the ctrl-a keyboard shortcut to do this. I unzipped everything as instructed in the installation guide, enabled it via jsgme, and it worked.
Starting from a different port didn't fix my gauge issue. I did do some searching and it appears to be related to AI Uboats(?). Interestingly, I noticed similar behaviour in SH4 with operation monsun. Everything is still operational, but the gauges and hydrophone dial don't move.

Please, check the names of the files!!! I have the same problem, but I rename the files 2 and 3 and them install ok. Oh, dammit, i cant write english well.:damn:
Please, rename the files download with megaupload with this:
WarAceCampaign_3.0_final.z.001
WarAceCampaign_3.0_final.z.002
WarAceCampaign_3.0_final.z.003
Then use 7z for extract clicking in the first.

The Ai is just tweaked a bit in WAC3.0 vs. stock sh3, but not that kind like GWx. But your sub is much more vulnerable so if you have damage you have to make repairs for hours and damages. water in the boat will affect the diving behaviour.
Also since 1943 the planes are very dangerous because of radar, leigh lights and rockets. Otherwise in 1940 the golden times are very easy until you don´t face a taskforce ;)
So.. that for now!

I think WAC supermod is for people (like me) who believe that stock SH3 is too buggy or too easy to play but in contrary GWX mod is unplayable due to too strong ASW AI capabilities. So in my opinion WAC is the best compromise now because other supermods (NYGM, RUB and so on) are not kept alive at present.

So.. a 2,5GHz Core2Duo will be faster than a 3GHz Pentium4 CPU ;)
But all in all SH3 does not support multiple cores!

It is very possible because training mission should begin just on training area. You don't have to depart port and travel there.
Therefore I suppose you changed this mission in SH3 Mission Editior, didn't you? ;)

I really like this aspect of the mod. I surfaced to finish off a crippled merchant and even machinegun fire caused damage to the boat. Nothing catastrophic, but it did take a while to repair. The boat also becomes a lot more difficult to maneuvre at low speed. Lots of atmosphere too. :up:

Actually you should find some ships which are not destroyed since there are enough ships there. Otherwiese you could also go bakc to port and start a new patrol... the target ships will be there until end of august.

Great because I don't like to be sink by my own side. I tried to install WAC 3.0 Full but unfortunately my computer could not handle it. So now I test GWX 2.1 waiting for your WAC 3.0 Lite version. :lol:

I suppose you have meant that aircrafts had to make practice bombings there before war began. ;)

It´s the KI in the harbours!
There will be a lite traffic version for guys who don´t like that much harbour traffic or have slower machines.
We made that much harbour traffic because it adds much immersion.
There is nothing worse than empty harbours in war time!

I´m sorry, but there is no Bismarck in construction in WHV neither a FW190 ;)

That`s a problem of sh3 somehow and most likely will happen if you do no patrol and exit the game or if you exit too fast.

Well, I suppose there is naturally a secret link between game developers and computer hardware industry. First guys create the most resource hungry games possible to fuel second guys revenues, not voluntarily of course. :lol:
Look at SH4 in this context: this game is inferior in all important aspects (war theater, playability) to SH3 apart from crucial one: it has much higher system requirements. It is simply SH3 with two times more challenging graphics.
It is very clear because otherwise there will be no need for commoners to buy such video monsters like 9800GTX2 or HD3870X2. :rotfl:

Yes, I think video adapter for 100 EUR is sufficiently enough now if it can handle DX10 and SM 4.0. That is why I don't consider buying anyting above 9600GT or HD3850.

Me too. In real life US subs was causing massacres among Japanese undefended merchants with impunity what is particularly boring as playing experience. Therefore Pacific theater completely lacks this wonderful War of Atlantic climate.
Moreover I think UBI screwed-up this game series a bit by transferring too many features from previous parts to newer ones. If they return with SH V into Atlantic on German side it will be a horrible stupidity and the final end of this series. :cry:
I am sure that next SH parts should focus on Allied submarines on Atlantic and Japanese ones on Pacific. :yep:

i had silent hunter iii (gwx 2.1) installed and a copy of sh3+1.4. i renamed the silent hunter iii folder(gwx 2.1) to xx silent hunter iii and also the sh3 folder at my documents
i installed the wac 3 full+hotfix at the copy, i entered at museum and was ok. tried to start a campaign at 1940 from 2 flotila and got ctd. tried again from 1940 1 flotila-kiel again ctd.then i unistalled everything deleted the remaining files, install sh3+1.4+wac 3 full+hotfix+lite harbor trafic and again the damn ctd

Hm.. difficult.
But I think that if museum and training missions are working.. there have to be mistake in the copy process... campaign files read units from sea/air/land.. maybe some files are missing.
But this is difficult to proof!
What´s the size of your folder that is activated via JSME?

Start the EDITOR with the scripted, the random and the land layer. If there are no conflict messages then things are really difficult as HanSolo pointed. You should search the problem to drivers I believe, defragment, provided the installing procedures are followed as they should...

Check for d3d9.cfg and d3d9.dll in the WAC rootfolder - it caused CTDs for me as well as u described. I had to use a regcleaner utility to get rid of the entries in the registry that restored the bug even after the complete reinstalling without those 2 files. Since then i dont even have the posted abnormal termination exit the game anymore. I tried GWX - light harbor traffic as well but it seems to be incompartible with WAC.

Both are " super " mods in their own right
Do a dual\multi install
That way you can have both or even more different versions of the game

There are a couple 'quirks' in my WAC 3.0. In my VIIB the helmsman is always in 'battle position,' i.e. he's facing the dive plane dudes, even if there are no craft nearby. And the sub vibrates rapidly when going off battery charging mode. I guess a result of different physics? :hmm:

Wac 3.0 incorporates Diving Duck's original Open Hatch mod. This has the helmsman in the permanent " Action stations" position. GWX2.1 has the original rearward facing and animated helmsman (a pleasant surprise :D ) with their version of the OH mod. To my knowledge it's the only mod to have this.
Haven't noticed any untoward vibrations in the type VIIs. Did you mean aural ( rattling noises) or visual (screen shakes)?
And are you running SH3 Commander? If so it may be one of the malfunctions that SH3C introduces.

First thing that struck me is the very very long load times, but the wait is worth it i mean the sea is just plain awesome! Just want to know as i was near gibralta channel 1940 and i received a message that doesn't state whos it for just "To ...." with orders to head to gibralta port and sink as many ships there. Is that message for me? Anyways im slowly making my way to the port diving many times to avoid the patrols. Great mod, i think i need to add more ram though 2gigs aint enough! :)

Not used multiSH3 so cant help you there
I have 3 different versions of SH3commander installed
Fire up the SH3commander install
When you get to the " Select location " screen
Put in a name for the mod you plan to use
eg
C:\Program Files\SH3 Commander GWX
C:\Program Files\SH3 Commander WAC
I have a shortcut on the desktop for each and start game ok that way

Yes. v2.7, though malfunctions isn't enabled. Just real ship names, show hull integrity (don't know if WAC3.0 shows it by default) and GW 8 hr. fatigue (also don't know what WAC's default fatigue is). Do you know what version of SH3C is compatible with WAC3.0?

we built in a new version of screen shakes!
you´ll also notice the waves shaking your sub if your are in the radio room or in captains cabin. myabe this is a sideeffect
because of the action station position.. we don´t know... maybe in the future.

PS: It could help you to delete the two resolution-files. You will find them beside the data-folder.
Still no luck getting the switch to work with SH3 Commander. I've tried everything to include loading it into the game folder. Nothing seems to work, SH3 Commander is still looking for the SH3 created save folder and not switching to the other folder that I created for the game. I've missed a step somewhere with the switch or loading or something else. Maybe someone out here has had the same problem and can give me a clue, it sure would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help with this. I was wondering....how do you "point" SH3Cmdr to the right installation? I currently have three installations, SH3 (vanilla), WAC, GWX. I've installed MultiSH3 in the GWX and WAC installs and it works fine, its created the proper folders. Repeat the installation of sh3com with the installer equal to the numbers of sh3 versions u created and planning to use. During installation it gives u every time a choice which path it will install sh3com (the path of a regular default sh3 installation is suggested but can be manually overwritten every time). After completing the multiple installations of sh3coms u create shortcuts of them to desktop or quicklaunch bar all with different shortcut names. Then u launch each sh3com and set the appropriate path to the sh3 game it supposed to work with in settings. Sometimes there are additional special config files provided by mod creators for their mods for sh3com to be copied into its folder.

The megauploads wouldn't work for me, filefront did it for me. Also do you get the load intro screen, the first time WAC loaded it took ages probably a good 15-20 min!:yep: An yeah i sat in front of that screen sipping coffee waiting for it to load:lol: it gets about 80% of the way and just sat there for another 10min before i finally got in. Funny though i never did a new install i just disabled all previous mods using JSMG and install WAC 3, no problems with SH3 Commander running.
First load intro was very long now its normal load times only the loading of save games still takes awhile.
Secondly, how do you make multiple installs of SH3 Cmdr? I think if I could cross that hurdle I could figure it out....again, thanks for the help.

I've tried the "l:" switch, that doesn't work, its still looking for the "SH3" folder. How do you get it to look for and find the folder that you had multish3 create for you? This happens on both kinds of installs, on multiple installs, no matter what I do. I'm stumped. Right-click on the SH3Cmdr shortcut icon. Click on Properties and make sure the path in the Target field points to the correct SH3Cmdr.exe and the Start in field points to the correct folder where SH3Cmdr resides. HTH

Do you need a previous version of WAC installed before adding 3.0 ?
I have tried installing both the Megaupload files and Filefront files into Stock SH3 with 1.4 via JSGME and have had CTD's on both attempts :damn: .
Don't even get an intro screen ?!
The megauploads wouldn't work for me, filefront did it for me. Also do you get the load intro screen, the first time WAC loaded it took ages probably a good 15-20 min!:yep: An yeah i sat in front of that screen sipping coffee waiting for it to load:lol: it gets about 80% of the way and just sat there for another 10min before i finally got in. Funny though i never did a new install i just disabled all previous mods using JSMG and install WAC 3, no problems with SH3 Commander running.
First load intro was very long now its normal load times only the loading of save games still takes awhile.
Nope, didn't even get a load intro screen, this is how I installed WAC 3.0..
Downloaded the filefront files into one folder then 7-zipped the 001 file into another created folder. The created folder has WAC and resolution fix; I moused over the WAC folder and showed 2.2 GB = so far so good I thought.
Next, I moved both folders to Mods, d/clicked JSGME and transferred/activated them which took a long long time ! Then when I fired up the game I get the CTD.
Have obviously gone wrong somewhere ?!
PS .. Installed WAC into stock SH3 and 1.4 with no add-ons or Mods whatsoever. Hope somebody can help me with this.

definitely an extract problem! the extracted wac folder has to be 4,4 or 4,43 GB!
maybe it is somehow necessary to rename the archives, the files should be named:
WarAceCampaign 3.0_final.7z.001
WarAceCampaign 3.0_final.7z.002
WarAceCampaign 3.0_final.7z.003
Then only extract the first file (others will be automatically extracted)!

Noticed the latest post of someone having problems extracting the WAC files,...and I`m still having the same too!
I noticed that Hansolo mentioned that renaming the files may have something to do with it, so I did a test with the first file and renamed it as he mentioned..
I should mention that the 3 WAC files that I downloaded were from the Filefront site, and the first file originally looked like this...`WarAceCampaign_3[1].0_final.z.001` and is 471,040 KB in size.
Note the brackets around the number 1 (after the 3 digit), and the solitary letter `z`, (instead of 7z).?
So I renamed this file as per Hansolo`s recommendation, and unzipped it with 7z...
I got a yellow folder containing a WINRAR archive file (471,040 KB) that, in turn, I cannot open. Even if I did nothing with this file, it is nowhere near the 4GB that Hansolo says it should be. when I do open or extract it I am getting error messages saying that the archive is in an unknown format or its damaged. (?) I am simply not getting anywhere at all, and this is after being told to get the files from Filefront because I was having problems with the ones from the Megaupload site!
Think I`ll go back to the NYGM mod. I`ll pass on WAC..

I also had a false start and ended up with the Winrar archive.:damn:
Eventually I got it to work by right clicking Vol 001 and dragging this directly into a JSGME Mod folder aready set up in the install directory.
Next step was to unzip using the "Extract Here" option (not " Extract to Folder") from the 7Zip drop down menu.
All three files then extracted properly and after what seemed an eternity, loaded up and ran with JSGME.
Hope this may help somewhat.

I've been away from SH3 for quite a while now, thought of reinstalling every mod and etc.
So, after a complete new SH3 install, I wonder if this is the right way to go to have both GWX, WAC and Vanilla: (If this way is wrong in any way, please let me know!)
Make two copies of the SH3 game, so I have three exact SH3 games.
Rename them GWX, WAC and leave the third untouched.
Install JSGME in each.
Install GWX in GWX.
Install WAC in WAC.
Leave the third as vanilla.
Put MultiSH3.exe in each root directory.
Start MultiSH3 and do the nedded work (I have not come this long, so now I am guessing!)
Install SH3Cmdr in three unique program folders: Vanilla, GWX and WAC. (do the switch as well)
Is it all ready to go then?
Hope this is not too confusing!

I had hat CTD from the day of release until yesterday.
Yesterday, I did 2 actions:
1. I gave the follow names to the files before extracting them:
WarAceCampaign_3.0_final.z.001
WarAceCampaign_3.0_final.z.002
WarAceCampaign_3.0_final.z.003
just like Topo65 suggest (see replay #147)
2. I used the NEW(?) 7ZIP, the version 4.57.
And it works. (download from Megaupload)
Additionally, I found a little error (thanks to my first patrol with VIIb):
Inside Basic.cfg, the loading torpedoes for VIIb: the line "ForeResExternXX=Y" is missing for all years, and for these reason I had hat a black fat line in the place of external torpedo.
Very nice edition the 3.0, thank you WAC team. You gave new life for SH3!:rock:

Also now have it up and running :up:
Extracted the first file and the WAC 3.0 full was 4.40 GB [also got the resolution fix folder but haven't bothered with that one] then done what Cheapskate did and dragged the folder into the Mods folder then double clicked JSGME [cogs] and moved it over to the right hand side to activate then success !
Love the footage, most of which I haven't seen before [Han Solo's choice of music to go with this is excellent ! :yep: ]
Only downside is my graphics card, an ATI, can't handle the load so will try upgrading the Drivers or failing that, win the lottery and upgrade the Computer.

Finally got my SH3 Commander working with GWX. I would like to thank all those folks who posted messages to give me a hand. I had to take the backdoor to fix it, but, its up and running. Again, thanks so much.

Maybe the light harbour traffic can be handled!? another user reported avarage performance with 7300gt and light traffic; you should try it!

Just a minor thing I thought was funny.....I never had any problems with the voices ingame, but now its mixed ub between british and stock command voices:
I feel its a little annoying to hear a sudden change in voice, like when the helsman tells you about depth.
"Current depth 20 Meters"
At "meters" suddenly another voice pops in, its more funny than immersive.
I suggest to only have new voices in whole/full sentences, not parts of it.:D
Just a suggestion, I'm not complaining!

I agree about the voices. I PM'd Han about that very matter and was told to over-write the voices I didn't like, which has been a task since there's nine folders with many different characters! I've been copying from my GWX (v1.03) folders and have got the voices more synchronized, though I like the Das Boot voices and have left as many in as I can. Perhaps if there's enough interest I'll post a mod of my dialog changes, plus some other tweaks I've made (with Han's permission!).
@the Munster: I'm running an nVidia 7600GT PCI and get 15 - 17 FPS in the harbor, not blazing but enough to enjoy the full harbor. :smug:
note: I'll be building a high-end quad-core system soon! :rock:

wac3.0 is the steady developement of the mod and our intensions of a goof sh3 world; the developement had been greatly improved with my team members.
surely wac3.0 has good features and you`ll definitely find some bugs.. but hopefully most bugs won´t result in a CTD; so a fluently gameplay should be possible! :88)
coming to the english voices and maybe the radio traffic.. wac3.0 has its focus on german language and the german radio traffic.
so all additional mods you create for the english radio traffic and the language is very welcome! :up:

No, not this time. because all textures are now in the .dat files.

with 6 gigs in my setup wac takes a :doh: wopping 2.74 GB RAM using vista 64bit-the additional xp partition i still own wac is using 1.84 GB RAM . It's not funny if the game is permanently using the virtual RAM on the HD.

Have found this snippet of information about RAM which I'd like to share with others here and think it is a good analogy ..
RAM is Random Access Memory. It is the part of the computer that processes information. When a program is started, it is loaded into RAM to be run. This also where files are placed by a computer to be worked on. RAM is like a workbench and the larger this workbench the larger the file that can be worked. Imagine if you were building a doghouse. A big workbench would allow you to put the whole thing on at once to work on it and have room for your saw and your sander (i.e. your programs like a photo editor or word processor). If you had a small work bench you would have to take the doghouse apart and load each piece on and off as you worked on it. So in computer terms the more RAM the easier it is to get a big job done.

You must install each one of them on a different installation of SH3.

We got also a reported CTD near channel from another user, but I checked this at the same date and I had no CTD. So... maybe other users could test this issue...

lets get back about a year ago. i installed wac 2.15
and got ctd. i requested for help but the ctd remaind.
so i decided to install the new version (3.00) when she was out.
2 weeks ago i installed wac 3 and again ctd. i thought that
the prob was the 2 installations gwx and wac. i had post at this thread
and followed the advices but nothing.
so today i made a clean install(i had deleted all remained files) of
the game+1.4b patch+wac3(4,39gb)+hotfix.
i load the game and i went to barracs for officers+po+sailors and
noticed that i had 4 of 9 officers 18 of 25 po
and 28 of 35sailors for a ixb at sep 1940 at willy
at gwx you must have 5/19/30 if i remember
correctly and for that time you start from lorient
i order to start the campaign and as you can guess.. ctd
please help

After multiply gunnery battles with hurricanes and medium bombers i noticed that at least the hurricane MkII has the "Royal Navy/number" between the wing and the tailwings or whatever its called on the stearboard mirrored. On the opposite side its correct readable.

well i d/l again the files from megaupload and the new folder that created is 4,43gb. installed+hotfix through jsgme but i have ctd on single mission
and campaign but museum works :damn::ping:
any idea?

I had the same problem as you...but on my present installation.
The mod works NICE! on a fresh install plus 1.4b...

I like the sea very much...no....very very much. At nighttime its pretty much how I rememebr it. The "glow" around the boat is near perfect....should get darker quicker if no moon but thats a small criticism. The reason for the glow is incidential light reflects of the sub onto the water around it, thats why they're visible...same effect with a sledge on the snow in a whiteout...can't see anything except some snow texture around the sledge. hope you pass on your tweaks to OLC as it would be really great to use his OLC Gui and Environment with this mod.
I'm not very keen on the gui but i do like the fact that everything slides into view, allowing a clear screen. Love the big dials too.
Didn't notice the sub pitching down vertically when diving as the rocking, the effect might be there (aka saussages) but not noticeable due to general sub rocking motion.
I'm only in Aug 1939 so more feedback as things start to "hot up".
