I ask myself if there would be interest of porting all FM 3d interior to the sub types II, VII and IX ? So that all have the interior compartments.

afaik , Flakmonkey haven't made any interior for the type II
[there are made one (or two?) type II interior expands but are not even good at all].
i don't know if there was ever a mod made for expanding the interior of the type IX
for the exterior of the subs i think that Wise is your man. there is nothing that can be compared with his work,he is making an epic work there

Yeah.. The type II torpedo room was made from Tomi099 for SH4 and then converted.
A mod for the type IX was never made for the interior but I thought of just moving them over to type IX and adjusting so that you have type VII engine room etc. without reworking 3D things, because that would be too much work for me. Better than only having one room for type IX. Also the type VII egine room could be converted to type II.

The biggest problem to me, I do not appear as original images
the type IX interior have or minimum a blueprint.
and there's the VII D which I would for years as Mod.
There is much to be done guys!

Perfect task Tomi. I also thoughts about the crew but I think there is much knowledge like DD has, with hex editing and so missing for me. How far did you gut in your crew SH5 Port? So... I think implementiert type VII interior to type II and IX is the most easy way. Especially if the are no interior Images or blueprints.

I just want the look of the characters change (optical). The logic remains of SH3 for Crow.

the campaign does not follow until 1945, ends in 1943. If you select the year you want to play .. beginning 1939-1943, and should be 1939-1945,, I think it's a mistake cfg flotillas:wah:

My friend, in your mod the campaign ends in 1943, it is not possible to advance to 1944 and 1945 in other mod GWX, LSH, you can select the starting year of the campaign. Cfg flotilla has the problem .. its mod WAC despite the years is the best I've played. I'm a fan, greetings and thanks.:salute:

All in all I am making advantage in the new update..
Type IX already has the complete Type VII interior now just the type IX control room and Tommi_099 gave me his work from Sh4 (and GWx4???), a new type II interior, which I ported over to SH3 the last few days and so there is now a Type II original engine room to Sh3 ... so that it is usable... screens to follow... :arrgh!::arrgh!::arrgh!::rock:

1 --> Why are there any curtains here ? What is behind them ? Where is the torpedo room ?
2 --> Is that dial working ? Or is it just a picture ?
3 --> What's this ? Holes in the paper ??
+ Is there already such a work for other U-Boots ?? If yes, where ?
+ In the game, is there a less direct lighting, with much more shadows ?
+ Are the engines animated ?

2. They are just pictures, maybe possible to get them working
3. Only 3D meshes from the control room, already deleted them
-I only ported type VII interior mod from FM to type IX
-These are ingame shots
-Engines are not animated

I've downloaded the War Ace Campaign 4.1 supermod yesterday, and i'm trying it for the first time. Although i didn't manage to start a new campaign (because of an unexpected bug), i've succeeded in playing a short mission written by myself. My very first impressions are :
- much better immersive atmosphere with all the sounds from the film "Das Boot", although some of them are not so clean (you hear the music of the film)
- harbours are more realistic (better location and aspect), but i think a lot of improvement could be done on harbours' visual aspect in general
- a little surprise : a new Kaleun with a brown beard :arrgh!:
- and the U-Boots are so much more beautiful !!! :yeah:
And i think I still have many things to discover, when i read the manual (very well done, with a lot of pictures and maps). But first, i have to discover what is wrong with the campaign ! :nope:

The upcoming update seems very promising (i couldn't find the trailer on your website)! Does this mod have widescreen support natively or is that something that is planned in the future?

- Nicer and more diverse light houses, and one with a red light, and another with a green light (no flashing) in the harbour, as in RL.
- Lower docks for small vessels and U-Boots.
- More historical buildings (castles, fortifications, town halls, hotels, shops, etc.)
- Real lights during the night (and not only light halos).

The models, yes. But SH4 has shaders, and that is impossible in SH3.

Just wanted to infrom you that the type II engine compartement is 98% finished. Maybe I try to add engine animations later... will see :)
For now I start with tye IX rearangement of the compartements, as I just ported FM compartments from type VII to type IX.

i am almost sure that he has made engine rooms for other types too (can't remember if it was for type vii or ix but it is one of them if not ...both of them).
just ask him , it will be very pleasant to have all of his great work
as for the exteriors of subs , as it is allready mentioned from some previous speakers, the work of Wise is the only choice ! there is nothing that can be even compared to his job which is not only extremely pleasant for your eyes but it is also so correct made without eating memory with unnecessary polygons. ( a pm to him will explain you much better what i mean)
as for MEP or MaGui , just leave it to me when the time come. i will make them fully compatible with the upcoming WAC.
Keep at it Hansolo , i am very huppy that you decided to update WAC :up:

Yes I have the all list installed now but the TKSS18 German U-Boats Compilation and New U-Boat Guns Fixed Reworked (for German U-Boats Compilation) Mods and everything works fine...:salute:

Try the FixAllSubs for GWX in WAC.
The Wise Uboats models have a problem with Interiors, causing these wrong textures. In theory, FixAllSubs corrects that, but in my installation donīt work (GWX and WAC). I use the standard WAC and GWX models with Aces Super Turms and compatibility fixes, Iīm happy with they.
Also, CCom interiors and New Interiors are different things, with CCom you overwrite the New Interiors. And New Interiors 2D is not compatible with the Aces stuff. Use one or the other.

You must first sunk ships and become Renown Points, then when you have enough points, you can choose an own emblem!

is it a good idea to use darkwraiths damage model with WAC 4.1. Also how does WAC do damage to ships? Is it like NYGM where it simulates flooding or does it use the hit points from stock?

Again.. no mines in training area! Also there re no floating mines with speed; just stationed floating mines.

I do not mean the landfill .. Just want to know if there are mines in the game in different places, which do not have the information ??? That during the games have always had an interest in unexpectedly run against mine ... It just adds stress .... There are different places with mines... in the F5 map should be a extra map in a corner which should show at least some locations.
If you want to delete the mines, just open the scr_layer.mis in the campaign folder with the mission editor and have a look for them.

Hi!
Did you use the 4Gb patch for your Sh3 installation?
WAC only runs with this patched Sh3 exe because the amount of units, etc. need much more ram memory. If you donīt patche the Sh3 exe the game will not start and crash to desktop.

Execute the 4GB Patch as admin, then navigate to your SH3 executable, now it says the SH3 executable has been patched. That is everything!

Have installed the 4G patch as advised, but can only run single missions for some reason. Everytime I try to set up a new career it starts to load but CTD.
before loading bar completes! I installed in the following order:-
WAC Final XP
WAC 4.1 Fix
WAC 4.1 Hotfix
No extra mods added.
Any thoughts?

hi im playing wac first time with some mods and i see a incredible work.
i have some question.
1)Theres are files for commander?
2) campaing files conataing wolfpacks for h.sie patch?
2)i trayed to marge campain with usam files to use that units but editor alwais crash in my computer, anyone have this files merged? (with wolfpacks better)
Every time I load a game I have the dials bug, pointing up. It's a mess because I couldn't save a single game and it's make impossible to run a carrier and it's getting me crazy it's with a moderate amount of mod, manly gui and skins. Anybody have a fix for it?

The original "Faaaahrzeug" sound file was annoying because it was cut badly.
Edit: I reworked all those files, but never could release them, because I couln't give propper credit.

i dont know but with gwx and nygm, with those instalation i dont have this problem (same base instalation exe by copy). i cant save a single game no matter with wich sub or flotilla i select.

i don't believe (without been an expert at all) that you have to reclone the AI Subs. I think that you can use the remapping tool of s3d to achieve a fix.

it is more complicated that simply remapping the .dat files. there are ids at the rest files (.sim , .zone , ...etc) which are connected to .dat's ids and the procedure becomes very long and tiring.
Maybe ,if we knew, which specific parts of these files are responsible for the issue and remapping just these would do the trick.just guessing here

Why not open .dat file, then for each id contained in this file, search in which SH3 files this id is present, and see what id is in another file which has nothing to do with U-Boots ... Then, you just have to rename that id, and the id linked to it in .sim, .zone, etc.

Actually you should see it in the CR when you move the Cam in 3d view though the room. Just left click a food, then mark the name in the left node list and delete.
But you should delete the corresponding dial node in the Sim file also because the option of vanishing food is in WAC4.1 active. The dial node in the Sim file you find with the parent ID in the sim file. So.. first find dial, read out parent ID, find the food in the command room with the parent ID, then delete dial node in sim file and food node in CR file.
BTW WAC5.0 has less food in CR because it is too much... instead it is spread over the whole u- boat!

Hello guys.
I have problem with WAC 4.1 and hope itīs not too annoying to ask you for help. I have the steam version of Silent Hunter 3 and tried the last 2 days to install and play this amazing mod. But it don`t work for me. At first I had problem to start game and new carreer without getting crash to desktop. I could solve this problem by installing the 4gb patch. But I have new problem now. Every time I start new patrol, for example first patrol of new carreer, game loads and bring me into game. But there it pauses the game instantly and permanently. If I press the Enter key, which pauses the game and end the pause, it isn`t possible to continue the game. I only see black screen with "game paused" in middle of screen. What can I do to solve this problem? I really want to play :/

I have seen milkcows in ports but i don't get it... how to resupply.

Hi Redline Re Milk cows in Wac -4.1 below a screen shot of Wac 4.1 Scripted Lair in Mission Editor You See Uboats that are not moving they static no spped tail so to speak those will be the Milk Cows Look at the scr File with the Mission editor then make note on when & where the Milk Cows Are in a particular Area

I was playing gwx for qiute a long of time and I switch over To Wac and I have a blast because campaing is very well done.
But Why ship sink so Fast unrealisticly.?

I think no. But if you download an existing one you could examine the files and adopt them.
After a long time with GWX i decided to start with wac 4.1.
Instalation was ok but through the campaign i faced the following probs.
1/ Very long repairing times
2/ i gave to all personel metals but the green bar above its compartment is in the begining
3/ Started the campaign in mid '42 and outside of Lorient facing air attacs
and i can travel in surface only at night
4/ Tried to replace some ships but i had ctd ***Explain** i want to replace stock Hunt I with the new one of the frog, so i check the max speed of the new ship will be > than the old one, deleting the foldere and applaying the new one. Doing the same with ( flower-buthrust, NKSS-with a ship from MFM) and so on,but as i said i got ctd. In GWX i haven't any prob and replacing about 18-20 old ships.
I don't know if the ships are combined with library or something else.

Otherwise MFM ships I would nort recommend because some cause CTD with WAC (probably because of ID duplication) that is not solveable!

I'm not in front of my pc, but:
Every ship must have a class name.
Look into the original huntI folder and copy its class name (and unit type) into the new huntI. Be sure that the same class is also in its roster file.
It is important that you use the original class name because this is used also in the .rdn and .scr campaign files. If you use a different class, when you'll load/start a campaign, you will have a CTD. It's because the campaign is looking for a ship that doesnt exist.

Thanks for your reply. As for DD's the file names are the same ( frog's ships and wac) and the only difference could be on speed and not in unit type

With the mission editor you can change the crew rating for every scripted or random ship. This affects how fast a crew will spot the enemy, also how good they will target you.

Just notepad and find/replace function(Ctrl+H), for Find: Class= , for Replace: ;Class= , click Replace All button, done.

I understand that you want to delete all "Class=something" from your Campaign_RND.mis file.
If so, I suggest you not to delete but add ; before every "Class=something". This is easily done with what I described above.
; defines comments, so the game will not take into account what is after it in this line.

I have the same too, and also the sound of storm continues even in submerged condition, after when dived...it's very disturbing especially when using hydrophone....I suspecting error in the sh3.sdl file or may be somewhere in the sound folder...

Oh yeah. It happened to me too. This sound bug happens when you load a mission where there are some anti-submarine nets. You have to mute these 2 files :
- Collision_AntiSubmarineNet_ext.wav
- Collision_AntiSubmarineNet_int.wav

Have a look into the submarine folder.
Search for the u-boat .dat file you want to edit and then open it with s3d.
Exchange the skin texture and save the file!
I saved it already but no changes still Wac skin. Would it be possible to somehow remove WAc skin Completly off All Uboats SO it would be stock. So it would be easier to mod them. I am sorry for horrible language

It contained two errors in files.
1. You should delete all CAM files in the Objects folder.
2. In the Objects SIM files 9_1, 9c_6, 9c_7, 9c_8 and 9c_9
Delete Node for Depth Dial.
This is what I made exactly :
I deactivated all the mods with jsgme
I deleted all the .cam files in :
- (mod) WarAceCampaign 4.1_final_FULL_XP/data/Objects
I deleted all the .cam files in
- (mod) WAC4.1 Fix/data/Objects
I activated then again my mods with jsgme and relaunched the game and my saving (where all the dials were on 12 hours as well as the hydrophone dial out of use)
...... ..... ....... ....... ......
and It worked ! I got back my saving and the dials problem had disappeared !

So, I've installed and started playing with WAC4.1 while anxiously awaitin WAC5.0.
I like the rectangular attack scope, but is there any way to use that with the MaGUI F or ws MaGUI 3.4 mod? I've found that the stock GUI is more difficult to do some standard things - specifically, how do you start the stopwatch in the stock GUI? Also, is there a way to slow the transition of the collapsing elements of the GUI? The optional Rafael DSK locked GUI obstructs parts of the nav and attack maps, so i don't see that as a solution to the stock GUI.
I want to modify campaing files specificly for Campaing_LND.

I want to modify campaing files specificly for Campaing_LND.
But after I done tweaking I cant save because of the error I check the validate mission tab. And It shows error like this. I only tweaked airbases

Hello again,
After a long time spent on land i thought why not install SH3 again..
I had a very long time without sh3 since my Laptop crashed and the harddisc said bye to me.. Unfortunately very much data was lost as well as all my SH folders and all mods i had loaded.
So i have to load all again. I was or am still a big wac fan and i am looking forward for the new 5.0 version.
But for now i start with good old 4.1
But i have some trouble. I installed wac 4.1 and want to use ahnenerbes u boat compilation 2 with the fantastic new 3d models of the type 7 boats. But if i try to start a career or single mission the game crashes. Only the school mission one worked..
What could be the problem here?

there are not really much mods there actually. As I said, i have to start from the ground new.

thatīs what i have so far. In the U-Boat compilation are the flakmonkeyīs interiors already, so i donīt have to use them additionaly.
But already at this point there are problems. the first training mission is playable. but single missions or start a campaign with a type VII brings the game to crash.
I want to use further mods like type II torpedoroom or several other graphical mods like torpedo damage mod and so on and so on.
I am starting with a new Computer at point zero with a complete new installation of SH3 without anything. Therefore iīm using the purple hill Version of SH3 which has there Version 1.4 of the game. DVD is not required while playing.
The last installation of SH3 with WAC 4.1 was fine, but it was on a Laptop which is unfortunately criticly damaged by depth charges... No of course not. But i had a massive problems with the harddisc and most of my data is lost now as well as all my SH3 installations and all the mods too.
Now i got a desktop PC:
Intel Core I5 4690K 3,5 Ghz Quadcore (can be boosted to 4,2 ghz)
16 GB RAM
Geforce GTX 970 4 GB RAM
Win 7 home premium 64 Bit
Iīm using the L.A.A. tool which was part of the download from WAC4.1
On the lost version i had the "4GB Patch" but that should be the same thing or not ?
Iīm affraid i was too long outside SH3 and now i need help to make it work again. For example what is the correct line to install or activate mods without getting ctd.
maybe some of you can give me any advise..

I do not want to disappoint you, but you should use German U-Boats Compilation http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2220320&postcount=1 Many German U-Boats Compilation 2 (only VIIB & VIIC models by WISE) causes CTD. And this (New Wilhelmshaven) is not meant for a WAC!

Then i will try the compilation you suggested.

And what about the type IX models from wise? I think i tried them once but i believe they had problems too.. Maybe i try it again..

When i start the game the first error seen says "error: could not initialize 3D engine"
the error is caused by the wide gui mod. I installed it as described in the readme file. Only exception: I donīt use the hardcode fixes.
Is this requires for this mod ??
If i do not use the wide screen, i can start SH3, but start a game, but only a school mission
Single mission with goldenen Zeit game crashes.
career even start with a type IIa game crashes.
Could you explain step by step what mod in what order has to be activated ?
I used the LAA tool again when activate or disactivate the wide gui mod, so this shoukd not be the point..

now i got one of the problems.. the gwx wilhelmshaven st nazaire and lockdoors mod causes trouble.. without it seems to work..

this is type VIIb in carrer in sub Pen in Brest. Same in Kiel and same in wilhelmshaven. the VIIc works fine as well as IXb too.
the type IIa got an wrong texture at the conningtower.
in trainig or single mission the VIIb is fine too.
What could be the mistake here ?

If you start the game Silent Hunter 3 pops up the message Can not initialize 3D engine and the game does not start, then there is a solution. The problem is that the game is already quite old and the big screen resolutions are no longer suitable for it. In order to run the game, you just need to make a resolution of 1024 to 768 on the desktop and the game will start. Everything is checked, everything works. Good luck!

I rember having this issue in the WAC5.0 development.
But ... I do not know the fix anymore... I guess an ID conflict or the same name of the textures.
At least I solved it somehow for 5.0.

the changing of resolution did not work. I changed it in the main.cfg as well as in windows... with the widescreen mod thereīs still the 3d engine error..
and what may be the error with the type VIIbīs missing hull in campaigns ? in solo mission and training the VIIb is fine. only not in campaign..

since i was not able to fix that texture issue in wise VIIb in campaign i changed to testpilots Viib.
but now i got another issue... In the interior i have the free cam. but not in the conningtower or on the bridge. How can i change that ?
Free Cam on Bridge where i cann move from the tower on Deck and free cam in the conning tower.
Both with working clickspots, so that i could click on the hatches to step in the boat..
quite better would be luccagateaīs conningtower openhatch mod. but this is not that easy to combine with the last new interior by flakmonkey. If i activate the conningtower OH Mod the L shaped bench in commandroom disappear and in the forwars and aft torpedoroom the camera gets out of sectors..

Hello Folks,
i ask one more time, how can i make it work to get the free cam everywhere in the Interior as well as in the conningtower and on the bridge too ??
In addition I tried to change the time compression and changed it in the main.cfg to 4096 max.
But in the game nothing happened.. the max time compress was still 1024
whatīs the matter here ?

So I'm using wac 4.1 with MaGui 3.4 widescreen mod. RAOBF isn't clickable, it just stays hidden at the top of periscope and refuses to come down. Everything else is working 100% including water reflections.
I have Surface Pro 4. Normal res : 2736x1824px aspect ratio: 3:2
turn on manual targeting

I have a problem with this megamod 4.1 the weather does not change during the patrol. The climate is same during all navigation. Do you have this problem?

hi zeus when playing Campaign the weather will stay the same for long periods save your game always on the surface never submerged or near land else campaign save will get messed up then reload campaign career game even if you are using commander mod your weather will change

No, megamod are not compatible just like puto one over the other.
I made a nygm2017A+wac5.0+some more ships and fixes and you must select files from one mod and other from the other.
this versions are very close, the hard diferences come from sumirines files (but usig the same sourse basic file and other refered files its no a problem).
should have the same sourse land and scrpt and terrain files.
chech def sides, some definitions, carefull with roster air, air folder and airbases definition (ia have to make a correction becose some planes are no aviables on bases)
Some ships have incompatibility in type as m36B cam, should correct some lines in random and script. also check names of bases. those weitr diferente st.nazarre and st. nazarre.
the worst part is serch files nedded by every mod en library folder, take care needs of files sourses depend on wich combination you chose.
use sh3 validator. vital.

it crash alwais in my win10 when i exit the game but for me was no a problem. Almost my patched versions. mybe the original exe dont do that, i should check.

check to know what happens.
any way, did you unsistall completly and erase documents folder and reinstall?

Yes, completely including SH3 of my documents.
My last letter up the sleeve is the formatting and reprogramming of windows.
I'm just in doubt if I go back with Windows 7 Pro 64 or I'll install Windows 10
