To be honest, I really dislike stickies, mostly because they are used for the wrong purpose. In my opinion, archive/locked threads, threads that are important but not posted in regularly, are the only candidates for stickies, and I wouldn't stick more than 4 or 5 max. Too much stickies = clutter, and I have to scroll more than half a page down to new threads.

In reality however, threads that are posted in on a regular basis are stuck. I really don't see the point in that as they tend to stay on the first page anyway. Even more annoying is that when a new thread is posted, if it is deemed important it is quickly made a sticky. The result is that I don't see it, because 99 out of 100 times I scroll past the stickies... This is how I missed Ducimus' great thread on the Pacific war until last night, and it happened to me before with other threads.

Now, S3D has never been made sticky, yet it's a thread less talked in compared to the major mods. Now I may be biased (:rotfl: ) but this is exactly a thread I would stick if I were a mod, since alot of people may need it yet have to look for it a couple of pages back. That said, I could care less myself, I'm fine with just a link in a summary thread like it is now. I use bookmarks, and sometimes the 'subscription' feature of this board anyway...

I'm gonna have to shoot myself in the foot here, and say 'no'.
