I don't speak German, but I voted yes. Because really, why not? I don't think it will splinter our community as much as it will bring new blood in.

I voted yes, because it might motivate me to start studying the language for realz.
![]() Edit: TBH I was sort of surprised when I first came here that there wasn't a German language forum already. |

Voted yes.
The more people Subsim has, the more productive and stronger we get.

I have had Silent Hunter Mods Forum as a multi-language forum since the very beginning, but it does not accumulate much more native language forum members being active in their own languages anyway. And I seriously doubt it will be any better in Subsim. Subsim is still regarded as an anglophone forum, and the German native speaking members and guests will most likely frequent the German Ubi forum and MarineSims.de the most as they have always done.
Then again, it can't hurt...

There is already a Polish forum, a Spanish forum and a Chinese (?) forum, so why not German and French?
As with a couple of others, though, I declined to vote, since I wouldn't be using it anyway.

I voted "Yes" for some reasons and some ideas growing at the moment. But it is not me to introduce that ideas.
Well, if there is a demand for it, I would try and translate some German things into English from time to time... danasan |

Although I think that it might be helpful in terms of tips and strategies to the game for some people. But on the other hand all of the mod stuff could become a bit too cluttered. |

Voted "Ja", because I have mostly no problems in reading your posts, but sometimes it is hard for me to write in english. A wrong chosen word / translation can change the meaning of a post. So I would sometimes be happy to post in my native language.

I am torn about this.. on the other hand it would be nice, but then again as it was mentioned before, many Germans do speak English in one form or another.
But then again, it may be a valuable resource for the whole community. Tough decision. Why not test it? Open a German forum and let it run for x month to see if it really is worth it? From the contributions and participation you will be able to gauge the impact and acceptance. |

@ Brag : Ton français est plus ou moins aussi bon que mon anglais, le principal étant qu'on te comprenne.
![]() Notre langue n'est pas la plus facile, mais quand on a de la patience... ![]() Bonne chance pour la suite ! ![]()
