@ZeeWolf:
First and foremost, FANTASTIC work on everything you have done. You have effectively taken a corrupt, broken game and turned into something completely reborn. The new Panther and Tiger skins look incredible.
Sadly, there are faults. I still can't get above 15 FPS in the first Kursk Mission:

I think I will have to read the rest of the posts since I last posted to see if there are new developments - or invest in better hardware! Some day I will play Kursk Mission 1 @ 60 FPS!! :)
Also, as another mentioned, the tanks shoot at the planes in German Mission 1! I had a great laugh. However, they then failed to help me through the rest of the mission, which wasn't nice.

I must post this image for it's sheer beauty. And yes, the highest FPS I've ever seen in ZeeWolf's mod, but it lasted just a short while (the rest of the mission averaged about 18 FPS).

I'm beginning to think TvT is just internally flawed when so many objects are on the map. These graphics aren't that hard to render by modern standards - it must be poor coding underneath.
I do have a request - how can I remove the sudden "jolt" after firing the gun that screws up the optics afterwards? I realize this may be for added realism, but it is quite annoying and I prefer the stock firing mechanism.
I'll keep trying things and post my thoughts - but I still whole-heartedly recommend your work to others. We'll get through these performance issues.

"We'll get through these performance issues" That's the spirit Kamerad
As for the jolt at firing. You just need more battle time because once you
get good you will not even notice it as a distraction.
I noticed your map was not centered around your Tiger so I made this last
night be for I conked out. You could change the keys around anyway you
want but this is some helpful stuff to get you using the map.

The new Project ZeeWolf Easter Update Beta v1a.
The performance has increased. But it does not lower the minimum requirements.
Those of you with a Nvidia video card will experience the benefit the most.
My video card is a Radeon HD 4770 512 vram and the fps ranges dramatically
but lacks the power to take full advantage of this release.
But there has been brought to my attention, thanks to feed back from a Komerad
who enlightened me on the fact that TvT dose not put any load on the GPU.
I was stunned,:o and downloaded GPU-z and checked it out and sure enough no GPU
load in the game.
This never dawned on me to check. Primarily due to the sound my video card's
fan makes while playing and working in TvT. The sound of the fans increase is very
noticeable as with temperature a combination common to a near max-out GPU
I thought.
Anyway, I have already began on a solution for this GPU problem although the
solution may take a miracle and help from a code Guru but I am far from giving
up on it.
I do have to report on the bug issue know as the "Swamp Effect", it has returned
to vex me some more. But working on a suspicion I made the discovery after
couple of days trying to consistently reproduce this effect. This work finally
revealed some hard evidence. And as a result I can say firmly this was not due
to any vehicle parameter or any adjustment to the model's animated parts or script
files, tracks and suspension etc. But the cause was the large map terrain's mesh
density or the lack there of. Further studying this I found it only occurs at a
very precise angle of 90 and 180 degrees. Traveling exactly north or south you
would see the track start to sink.
However, no complete solution was found for the mega Kursk map only a
reduction, but it will probably be worth it to re-work all the Kursk
missions regardless of limited benefit.
This issue "Swamp Effect" also prodded me to experiment with my new size map for
the Prokhorovka mission. And after testing 25x25 Kilometers (15.53428 x 15.53428
miles). Preliminary tests show that this combination of map size reduction with
the use of high resolution raw map files has totally eliminated the "Swamp effect".
Although the solution will be implemented in a add-on to this release please allow
me some time to receive more feed back first so I can put as much in the update
as I can.
Meanwhile, I wanted to show you guys the deference in mesh density to give you a
clear picture of what I am taking about on this swamp effect/mesh density issue.
Default TvT map size (9km x 9km):
http://www.tanksimzw.com/images/ZW_StockTerrain_mesh.jpg
Mid TvT map size (18km x 18km) as used in German missions 1-4 and Russian mission1:
http://www.tanksimzw.com/images/ZW_Mid_Terrain_mesh.jpg
Mega TvT map size (36km x 36km) used in all the Kursk missions
http://www.tanksimzw.com/images/ZW_Mega_Terrain_mesh.jpg
And finally the Mid-Mega map size(25km x 25km) for the up coming Prokhorovka missions
and many in the future.
http://www.tanksimzw.com/images/ZW_Mid_Mega_Terrain_mesh.jpg
Keep the feed back (good or bad) flowing!

So what exactly does this mean? Is TvT poorly coded to not send rendering load to the GPU? Is this also an issue with the stock game (I assume it is)?
Man, I have no idea what you're planning on doing to fix this, but it sounds daunting. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
EDIT!
I have downloaded GPU-Z myself and verified what you're talking about as well. On my system, here is what I saw:
Civilization V: 68-85% GPU Load the entire time
TvT, stock Game: 52-65% GPU Load in-game
TvT, ZeeWolf Mod: 0% GPU Load in-game
Hopefully you can compare your changes to the stock game and find it where it went wrong for the GPU load. Once fixed, maybe all the missions will then get quite respectable frame rates! Good luck, sir.
EDIT 2!
I just tried the German Mission 2 w/ZeeWolf and the GPU did show a very low load of 25-31%, never more. Also, my CPU never went above 29% load across all four cores, but I think this is expected in non-multi threaded games.

Good work Bleser,
I also checked out the TVT Demo and my GPU was 60-80% which surprised me.
I also used a stock German mission 4 and put it in the Mission 7 slot
and low and behold 50-70% GPU.
The thing that comes to mind is the shader fxo files. There my have to be
one created (Just guessing). But we are in agreement a solution is there, hidden.
I will add the new mission 7 into the beta update patch I'm working on and
get that to you guys

Hi ZW,
thanks alot for these updates. Have tham all now. If i am right, i do not need those updates from last year when installing a fresh copy. Only the Febr. and Easter update of 2011.
Very much has changed, its really looking brilliant. I recognized the new Panther Ausf. A model. GREAT:yeah::up::salute:
There is only one glitch with it.:D I cant drive it:wah:
Not to mention the camouflage. YOU MADE IT:yeah:
Environment as always beautifull.
The F2 inside cockpit view is not working well. A hatch can be opened but everything is grey. Are you trying it for the future release ? I think so.
Made a small run with the last Kursk mission. There is just a little "bug". A T-34has been already knocked out (totally destroyed) but its not recognized on the map and the AI as "dead". Its green and the AI is is shooting at it all the time. Poor crew, they are torn in pices.
Its one of the last tanks, left side of your mission goal near houses.
No comment on swamp effect, you alredy know that.
Had to clear cache folder prior to start the Kursk mission4.
FPS is low in fact. Between 4.5 and 7.5.
Thats for the moment now.
Over and out.

PS: You made a great job!

Thank you LC,
I will include a double check on the t34 issue in the Easter Beta patch. Also
you will receive the German mission 7.:DL On top of that the Kursk mission map
for all the Kursk missions that has the higher mesh density. The new Kursk
high density map will be equal in mesh density as the mid-map (18km x 18km).
And one I forgot to mention is the before it the re-work of the
ballistics for the ant-tank guns and T34-76mm guns. ;)
As for the(F2) Drive's cockpit and the no outside drives view that I can fix too.
I wanted to eliminate that camera view and use it some where else in the tank like
the Radio/MG-gunners seat. But that will have to wait.
I might add too that I've received some gentle arm twisting from some other Kameraden.
Therefore I will have to go full steam ahead on the Project "über Panzer-Arbeiten"
(the playable- Panther/ KingTiger project reference code) .:salute:

Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT
Video Game Settings: All sliders on Max except Shadows Detail, 1 click down from Max
Something else I have now noticed since the recent update. When I get to the "Press any Key" prompt, it doesn't work for me. The only key that works for me is the "Esc" key. It takes me to the mission summary screen and then when I click on "BACK", it then takes me to the mission. I haven't found any other way to start the mission.

I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else but I just thought I would pass it along in the attempt to help out.
In the 3rd Zitadelle mission, I have crashed 4 out of 4 times. It always occurs at the the same point. I start out heading up the Northeastern open field which then doglegs to the left (North). I continue up to the first open field on the left and make that turn (west). I head up that slightly inclined field to almost the very top and then it crashes. Sometimes my tank will have begun shooting and sometimes not but I can't get past that area without the program temporarily freezing and then getting the crash box asking if I want to search the web for a fix or close the program. :damn:

Well, I am determined to enjoy and the the most performance as possible today (without going to an SLI/CrossFire setup as they have their own issues), so I am selling my current ATI 5870 and replacing it with an nVidia GTX 580, the fastest single-GPU video card money can buy. I'm also going from 4GB RAM to 12GB RAM, thought I don't think that will directly impact performance.
As soon as I get everything installed/configured/etc., I'll fire it up and let you know what (if any) difference this setup makes.

Hi LC,
I can do a small patch for that. As for me the blending in of the hud some
what with the background makes it useful when you really need the info.
That is why I made the map transparent. To provide info as needed and
therefore I considered white overlay kinda annoying. Also I was working
on the winter map and experimenting with a color that would work with both
all types of environments.
Cheers! :salute:

Bleser, did you try ATI tools first?
ZW
Yes sir, w/o much help. Have been wanting to get back on the nVidia side for a while now anyway as I prefer their driver interface and abilities (game profiles built-in, customizable, etc.).
Bleser, I have 2 pc,s Asus P6T, I7-920, 6gb ram, ATI 5870 and EVGA x58sli3, I7-950, 12gb ram, Nvidia GTX570, both running 64bit Win 7 on 23 inch monitor at 1920x1080. The performance is very similar, varies between 40 fps and 7fps so I dont think you will see much difference.
That's fine, performance won't be any worse (GTX 580 is about 10-20% faster on average vs. 5870) and other games I play (like Civ V) are nearly 100% faster on nVidia platforms - so even if TvT doesn't benefit much, Civ V will. :)
Also, spent a lot of time lately playing MMP 7.0 Beta and performance is fantastic. The original SP missions now look stunning and I average 50-60 FPS with all details maxed.
Don't buy that much RAM unless you are running 64 bit OS's. Any 32 bit OS will only see 4gb and the rest is a waste.
Just sayin...........
Yes, of course. Been running 64-bit OS since Vista came out - now on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

ZW:salute:
Have been testing your delicious enhancements for TvT and I must say they are brilliant, but I have come across a few issuses. The first Kursk mission is a real hog, a veritable FPS slide show, I may have to lower my graphics settings, for that to run. It really slows down when the Katashusas start to fire, this also happens on the first edited mission of the Russian campaign. When flying up the left flank on that map (Kursk) you come to big trench, can't cross it, and when you get close to it the tank dissapears into the piled up soil that sits on it's lip??? I thought I had taken screenshots of other issues I had came across, but when I paste anything into photoshop or paint it's just a black screen that gets pasted??? Sometimes when after completing a mission and looking around at the various units via the tab button, destroyed tanks or spgs have appeared to have sunk into the ground. Sometimes when driving at full pelt my tank will vere off to the right or left? It's almost like propellor torque that you would experience in a flight sim??? Should the tank not move forward in a straight line unless the user presses the appropiate keys for right and left? I'll update you on issues that I come across as time goes on but for now here's my specs, a shortened edit of my Dxdiag ......

Your system is awesome Walshy
Yeah, that's the swamp effect that occurs on the mega maps. and only
happens when you line your tank up exactly 0 deg north and again at 180 deg south.
I posted about this already and worked out a solution for the Kursk M1 that will still use
the mega map but reduce the chance of the of those directions I mentioned earlier.
The Tank trench needs some collision mesh adjustments.:03:
And the tanks steering issues are related to the mega maps too, that's why
I will phase out their use with a smaller sized map. The first you will see used in the
Kursk M4 that will be in the Easter Beta Patch.:salute:
Also, I used to put out smaller patches as I fixed each problem but I changed that method
because of the potential for even more work (putting
out fires) so-to-speak. Now I take my time and work at my best pace.
This method has helped me do my best work. Slower yes but for a one
human shop I think production is still high for war time standards.

It's taken me about three years to get that motherboard to that spec, I'll be keeping it for another good few years yet. Once you buy a performance motherboard stick with it and maybe you'll only have to upgrade a few minor things as they get obselete. I've gotten more than my money's worth back in entertainment from that great board, best thing I've bought for my computer ..............

Three years is a long time Walshy. :yep:
I forgot to mention something important about the swamp effect.
And that is, the swamp effect has been eliminated with the high
resolution mesh "mega maps". But I doubt you would notice any fps hit (with your PC).

Hi LC,
I can do a small patch for that. As for me the blending in of the hud some
what with the background makes it useful when you really need the info.
That is why I made the map transparent. To provide info as needed and
therefore I considered white overlay kinda annoying. Also I was working
on the winter map and experimenting with a color that would work with both
all types of environments.
Cheers! :salute:
ZW
Hi ZW,
i didnt mean to turn on or off the hud info, its too usefull to abondon it.
I meant to have two different colors to be switched.
The original color for summer and the new green one for winter. :salute:

Hello..need a bit of help installing the Xmas mod..once I can get that running..I want to buy the full mod...FIRST I was able to successfully play and install the game and Zeewolf mod on my OLD machine (windows xp based..Amd fx57 processor)
NOW I have built a brand new machne..Windows 7 pro sp1 64 bit...Amd II
Phenon 1100T based, I can install the base game and it plays fine...
When I go to install the Zeewolf Xmas mod, I get the following error:
(Note..I have done a fresh install..twice..with same error message)
Zeewolf Christmas gift plus GErman mis 6 update 2.0 has not been installed because of the following reason:
Cannot create the following file:
C:\Program Files(x86)\Lighthouse Interactive\T34 v.Tiger\ZW_Uninstall.$$A
You will have to run this utility again....
(however..I run it again..still nothing) Any thoughts? thanks!
P.S.S. Silent Hunter 5 is up and running on this system (with numerous subsim mods) fine...no hiccups..
If you need any more of my system specs...just let me know...
LAST THOUGHT: Before I powered down my last system.and built the new system..I saved many files..one of them
being the ZMOD Christmas gift mod...saved it to a thumbdrive..and then copy and pasted it on to my NEW PC to begin
the install process...could the file ITSELF have been corrupt in this process? I have had this happen with OTHER silent hunter 5 subsim mods...just a thought.
Try installing TvT in "C" not Program Files for Win7. folder, then the patch

guys. And thanks MikeB for the heads up on the Win7 tip. :salute:

Hello Zeewolf.when I join and get your complete mod.do I need to uninstall the christmas mod and mission 6, or just install the complete mod over it? thanks...
Hello ingsoc84,
The best thing is to install over a well running default install. But because
the foundation file (the first Add-on file you receive) it replaces all the files
that the Christmas mod installs. However I recommend installing over a
default install that you have tested first.
Cheers!

I have the same problem on the first Zitadelle mission that I tried. I can only scroll the small map up and down, it won't move left or right. And yes, you can only see that bright green tank/circle hud in the bottom left when you are not in direct sunlight. I know you said you did that for a future winter mission but there must be a better color that would work for both???

ZW,
Here are my CPU spec's:
Vista 32
Intel Duo Core 2.67 Ghz
2 GB Memory
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT
Video Game Settings: All sliders on Max except Shadows Detail, 1 click down from Max
Ok, well that's weird. I just went and played the second Zitadelle mission and the small map controls worked perfectly. So, I went back and restarted Zitadelle M1 and now the map works fine??? Originally, the map was scrolled far right and I couldn't move it left or right to see my tank or the enemy. This time it centered the map on my tank and it could be scrolled. :06:
Also, the tank is still tough to keep straight when moving at speed but at least it doesn't "bog down". So, it has gotten better.
My FPS are still about the same. During a bombardment they run about 5.5-5.9 FPS.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. I still cannot save my Control settings. I can change and save the Audio, Video and Game settings but not the Control settings.
Hope some of this reporting helps to make the game better.

And yes it does help and makes sense to me. A tip: At the Kursk m3 start
just drive straight from the start position and avoid driving exactly north.
The Kursk M2 and M3 are using the old low-resolution maps.

everytime before and after a new installation i clear the cache folder. With the map i mean th mini map. (you know that little map that helps me where to drive) I can see our tanks, my tanks and the enemy but i have no final waypoint wich tells me to move there.
After finishing Campaign 4 i do not know where to place my tank to recieve the message: Esc to finish, Tab for watching vehicles.
Hopefully i expressed myself clearly and you know what i mean.
There is one thing i have to say. CANT WAIT FOR THE PANTHER!!!! my friend:yeah:

Hi ZW,
in mission Holding Hill 500, there are six russian tanks on the right. Four of them are holding position until they re destroyed. Two of them are moving outside the map. so i cant destroy them.
To the mini map. This setting is activated. Its working well with the missions.
In Kursk Campaign 4 is everything missing on the mini map. There is no waypoint/mission goal set like in the missions. Next time i have to be more accurate with my statements. Sorry.
BTW the sound is fantastic.

This Patch fixes the missing Pokrova Navigation Point.
Now you know where to drive your tiger to. Driving
through this Navigation point will end the mission.

Hi ZW,
thanks for that little update for Zitadelle #4 (waypoint). Now its working but i have a problem.
We (my Tigers and i) have destroyed all targets, no more green targets on the map but entering the mission goal/ waypoint the game will not quit. So i drive around in the marked red waypoint but nothing happens.
Hitting ESC i see : Destroy defensive positions is not marked, not completed but i have no targets any more.
What should i do to end the mission as a success?:hmmm:

Herr KapitanDP, you just made my day:up:
And yes it does help and makes sense to me. A tip: At the Kursk m3 start
just drive straight from the start position and avoid driving exactly north.
The Kursk M2 and M3 are using the old low-resolution maps.
If I get some more feedback I can change them both to the High-resolution
Kursk maps.

Greeting Aragorn,
Yes,I understand but the negative reviews were for the default release's
lack of support. If there had been a determined support from the developers
(at the release) there would be no "Project ZeeWolf".
Although I could go on, this is a perfect time to hear from those who could
add their own comments about the new "T-34 vs Tiger"

Allot has already been written that covers your interest in both tank sims.
I like both sims. Steel Fury has a large following and has a active development
company for support. However my favorite is T34 vs Tiger (hands down:rock:).
The most fundamental reason why I choose T34vs Tiger is that I figured out
how to take over where the company has left off. I have learned to do the
work that the original developers could only do. And have make the sim much
better (I might add :DL) and continue this progress.

This update is really turning into another major release. The things that i want to mention to you first is of course the new winter wonderland, with
the whole new map and winter missions that are coming. This has also meant the creation of a new winter forest and while i was at it i reworked
the Kursk missions with a new low land forest too. So now there is a winter forest in both lowland and standard forests.
Winter troops are needed to, so that had me finally fix the default troopers as well. Also the Kathyusa's
are now more authentic (optimized for better FPS too) with new sound and rapid fire that has rockets raining out of the sky. :arrgh!:
The whole thing is really coming together now. You will now really have a
wing-man as well as a hanomag 251 to keep you resupplied and working.
Allot of stuff still in the works too, like the playable tanks.:woot:
They are coming along well and i don't starve to death first will be ready well before Christmas. :DL

Fantastic Mike,
How does German Mission 4 "Escaping Red Army Pincers "run for you? :DL
I can't afford a system like yours yet. So the best thing guys like me can
do is 2 nVidia cards SLI'ed. Although the fps issue is improving, the lack of
a multi-thread executable has been a tuff issue.
But this next update will have some real enjoyment, guaranteed!

PS: T34 vs Tiger does support EAX sound extensions, and that is a very good thing
It even supports IR tracking too.
Haven't got that far yet, still setting up other games. TvT has a similar prob like Cliffs of Dover, seems the Russian dev's have an issue with optimization of the game engine. I'm no programmer just an observation. In Cliffs of Dover even hi end machines fair no better than a good midrange box. Lot's of GPU power needed and runs on 1 core only. Thanks MikeB,
German mission 4 has the following:
71 Russian Shock troopers
31 Hvy Artillery Units ML20s divided into six batteries
3 SU-152 Assault Guns
5 SU-122 Assault Guns
8 Su-85 Assault Guns
29 T34-85 Tanks
and the German forces is less that half (close to a third)
of the Soviet forces
And T34 vs Tiger only uses one CPU. However the speeds
you are quoting looks bad on paper so-to-speak but very
playable as myself and others can attest. But will never be as
high as the Muti-thread games. Although a SLI-ed video card
set up has the greatest effect on performance, hands down.
The FPS will have a huge swing from the the 100-200 max
to the low teens but playable and still very enjoyable on less
demanding missions.
But this has been an area that I am determined to do all I can
to easy as much as possible.
For example, I have replaced my video card with a very low end
nVidea GX 8600 and have removed all overclocking from my cpu.
And have been at this current system setup to close to a month
and the game performance changes made and tested have
noticeable benefits. And I am on a delivery deadline this weekend
for the latest update with the new "Winter Expansion" beta mission.

At this point your help with your feedback is very important to
the fine tuning still needed as well as the encouragement you all
instill in me to continue this very enjoyable endeavor.
You will find the new Winter Mission 1 under the "Project ZeeWolf"

I haven't made my mind up just yet to just keep the old rig running or give it to one of my kid's. They are now both in their 30's now! LoL
Although it still runs great and it just doesn't have the steam to run the new IL-2 CoD or the SHV games and it does have a problem running smoothly your updated TvT. I'll have more time to ponder that question when the new rig is ready. :D

When I first picked up this rig back in 2005 it was just a single card... I later added the second card. With some games there is not that much diffence with game play or settings with the game. With IL-2 for say... there is just a small gain with the game graphics and game play. It all depends more on the game engine as to which runs better with SLI.
My new rig will have just one EVGA GTX 580... but the mother board a ASUS Crosshair V Formula AM3+ 990FX USB 3.0 is setup for SLI... so I can add another card if the need arises.

Hi Zee and Camerades Zee your latest additions have left me in absolute awe. Some of the frames showing the recent work are almost beautiful!!! but I hasten to add ---in a manly, Panzer Commander sort of way !!!!
(I put that in for Lc!!:haha:). I am hugely looking foreward to your further development, I think this winter I shall mostly be shooting the frost off the T34s (if I get over the bridges OK).
I digress to add the "new" house has a "Fuhrer Bunker" ---- well basement actually; that I intend to put my Simming Gear into. All going to plan just got to get it up and running before I die :haha:, much of the work has made me feel that this event could materialize sooner than expected:wah:. Other than that, the British summer continues in typical fashion.
Seeing previous comments I feel compelled to report on all things SLI and Crossfire; I often take a magazine called "Custom PC" and the editor stated in the September 2011 edition (yeah it's a month early!) that all multi GPU setups to date are poor performers; due to either driver issues or just compatibility. Best results (fastest frames) all resulted from top of the range GPUs fitted in single slots (i.e. no SLI/Crossfire). Best overall was the Radeon 6970 to date!! Nuff said. If you can access the review it makes interesting and compelling reading. I for one wouldn't go for twin Graphic Cards after reading the test results.
Anyway all for now, still watching in the wings, all the best Morty :salute:

Hey Morty! :DL
Thanks man. Winter in August sounds good when the temp was up in the
80'sf.
As far as the SLI stuff I've been interested because I have a MB that has the
2x 16mhz PCI Express 2.0 slots. And it will be sometime before any PC
upgrades for me. There is two things that one needs to be concerned about
first (there is more but) if you are considering SLI:
1.)A Motherboard that can run both PCI Exp slots at 16Mhz and
2.) If your cards are compatible.
Just some stuff to consider if your stuck with the old stuff Morty. :salute:

Hi ZW,
so first impression on WM1 is woooaaahh!! Fantastic. I enjoyed this mission verry much. Colour is great, envirionment is great. Love the sky!!
There are some texture issues with the ground (only minor)
BUT this one was fantastic. Shooting tanks!!!:yeah:
German Mission 1
I tested GM1 . The envirionment has changed, AI has changed. COOL. I dont know exactly what but its different (better). Oh yes, airplanes too.
My Tiger had now a brown cammo, not a green one.
I have found some issues.
1, The KV 85 rear is to heavy protected.:damn: Please tweak it. We shot more than 15 rounds in his a.., engine but we couldnt destroy it. The KV 85 was heading away from me.
2, Leaving the town and heading towards the ZIS guns i saw strange grey lines circles in the air, closing in they disappeared.
This for the first one, going back to see/test more.
PS. Thank you for your hard work and keep the updates coming.
Sorry i must leave, my Tiger has to engage the enemy now:03:
Played the Beta mission, 10.5 fps average with Geforce 560-TI's SLI'ed.
Still very playable.
Still pulling right or left a bit depending on where you are on the map.
Wish you could get the sight to stay set where the AI gunner is shooting to be set to say 1600 when you take over the position, instead of having to re-set the sight.
Won of course.
Move along, nothing to see here.........

Great LC, Thanks,
I think the issue with the KV85 is in the model it self (Collision Shapes), and
I can fix that. The grey lines is an issue with the road textures being placed
right on both terrain zone map and the router zone map. And I can fix that
as well. These will be included in the patch that will be created after more feed back is in.

Well so much for my SLI theory, :o I get that with my nVidea 8600GT,
Last night I modified the playable Tigers and the smoothness of their
suspension - this will have a noticeable effect (for the better) on this
pulling issue and this will be in the upcoming patch. As for the Gun site
being set to a specified range; this would create a problem because the
range adjustment is connected to the mouse wheel zoom. And when you
change view (as Gunner ) to F6 and zoom in and out around the outside
of the tank, this mouse wheel action is at the same time changing the
Gun Site range. So, quick fix for you is; Find an F6 view zoom distance
you like then go in the F5 or F3 view at set the Gun range using the
Keypad 7 (zoom in) and Keypad 1 (zoom out). This is not a hard solution
but in the meantime it will give me time to figure something out.

No problem MB, I need your feed back.
It may be a missing texture file for the forest indeed I will get on
that and make absolutely sure. There is how ever a 2000 meter
limit on the Commanders camera view. The view when he's out
of the hatch. The best way to check if you may be missing texture
files is look through the F3, F5 or F6 views. Meanwhile I will double
check the missing texture theory on my end so give me some time and
I will report back.

edit: OK, I found that indeed there is some missing texture files files
Download them here:
http://www.tanksimzw.com/ForestStripeTextures.zip
And drag and drop them here:
C:\Lighthouse Interactive\T34vsTiger\Textures
It looks like some of the regular forest and terrain textures are missing
But please let me know if there is still any problems.

I don't know for sure but I will look in to it. I'm working on replacing all
the default menus and graphics with the ZW touch. And looking good on the

A couple of questions about the resolution setting with TvT.
What is the resolution set at for most of you while playing the game?
And have any of you had any problems or graphic artifacts with for say a 1680x1050 or 1920x1080 setting?
Is there a resolution limit to which TvT can handle?
And one more question with any of you using the Nvidia control panel... what setting are you using for TvT?
Thank's

Here are a couple of screens showing the problems I'm running into with TvT.
Any help would be appreciated... Thank's
When playing the Russian side after playing a mission or two... the next time I restart a mission the game does not have any background and the tank is floating in space.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v438/woofiedog/T-34%20vs%20Tiger/SH_0043.jpg
Or in the far distance the trees have a boxed look or venetian blind look to them as in this screenshot with the trees in the middle of the screen.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v438/woofiedog/T-34%20vs%20Tiger/SH_0038.jpg
I have the same problem with some of the tree lines as you do. I never played the Russian side but on occasion I'll have the floating in space effect. The only thing I've found is to exit the game, clear the cache and re-start. As far as resolution TvT will support what your card or monitor will support. I run at 1360 x 768 only because I'm using an HDTV and that's the native. I forced it to 1920 x 1080 and it looks good with no loss of FPS but the HDTV re-sets after about 15 min. I have a 27" monitor on the way to run at 1920 x 1080. My Nvidia settings are :
Anisotropic Filter 16x
Anti aliasing gamma correction OFF
Anti aliasing 16x
Anti aliasing transparency OFF
CUDA GPU`s ALL
Max pre rendered frames 6
Multi display/mixed GPU SINGLE
Power Managment mode Max performance

Thank's for the reply and your control panel settings.
I have also found that you have to shut the game down and restart to clear the floating tank problem.
With the venetian blind look of the distance trees I'm still play with my Nvidia control panel settings and seeing what the Evga 590 GTX can/can't do. Great card so far.
Did try using AF 16x & AS 16xCSAA... but this seemed to increase the venetian look and a few other graphic artifacts. Mostly off color patches on the vehicles.
Here are the control panel settings so far I'm using... but will try out your set up and see how the game runs. It's a new rig for me so still on the learning curve with things.

Anisotropic Filter 8x

Again Thank's :salute:
You are runnin the Fermi Chip. I be jealous, but remember, this game was made for DX9c and before, so I think the Venetian Blind sindrome will only keep poppin up.
woofiedog
09-25-11, 10:11 PM
Agree with the DX9 thought and a good item to think about... but haven't yet found a regular setting * or - that I can setup the game at it's max/quality playing level for the game that has the graphics & frame rate of the card's/computer output in mind.
Can say over all there has been no studder or freezing with game play and the game settings are at max output. More of finding a setting that is the best level for eye candy & computer output.
Here is another screenshot while using the same spec's as above and you can see the venetian blind look appear at the top even with ground features fairly close looking good.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v438/woofiedog/T-34%20vs%20Tiger/SH_0039.jpg
But yet here is a shot with a different map with local ground forest at distance and yet there is no venetian blind look?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v438/woofiedog/T-34%20vs%20Tiger/SH_0005-1.jpg
Another close ground & forest screenshot.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v438/woofiedog/T-34%20vs%20Tiger/SH_0037.jpg
The venetian blind look woofie, is caused by TvT only drawing a few of the front trees deep at a certain distance, TvT then lays a texture over the top to simulate a fully populated forest. That texture is what you are seeing.
This can be altered to allow a lot more trees to be drawn but TvT will be unplayable.
woofiedog
09-26-11, 01:24 PM
So there really is no fix for the venetian blind look with the trees... Thank's for the answer and reply.

Have Windows 7 pro and TvT is running fine... along with an EVGA 580 GTX card can put video settings to the max with no studder or freezes during game play.
RICH12ACE... you might want to try reinstalling the game. I do get the floating tank with no background when restarting a new mission... but just exit game and restart and the game runs fine.

hi fellows!
a few questions for you, please:
1) from where can this game be bought?
2) does it have/use/needs a serial to can play it (singleplayer/multiplayer)? (because if it doesn't have/need any serial, than 2nd hand games can be bought safe too)
3) does it need to have the CD/DVD inserted in order to play?
4) when is the next 1 year period starting for this project, at the end of January 2012?
thanks!

1. Your going to have a very hard time finding a copy of T-34 vs Tiger and I'm not sure if a downloaded copy can be bought.
2. There is a code for installing the game and there are some problems as the print for the code is very small and it is hard to distinguish some letters or numbers. A second hand copy should be fine... if you can locate one on for say ebay.
3. no

It is too bad that you can not order through Subsim/Amazon for a download copy. :hmmm:

Keep up the good work and know you are supported. There are a lot of do-gooders oozing political correctness out there inflicting their spin on any remarks that offend them. Your words of support and encouragement are powerful
and your wisdom is very welcome. But welcomed by only
those who can handle the truth - in times like these.
The sins that are the down fall of nations are now
paraded, honored, encouraged and openly promoted by
those who are quick to denounce those who reject
their folly. They act as if they are the true
enlightened ones. But like the stupid ox being lead
to the slaughter they are oblivious to the chaos
this brings. Those who share this false enlightenment
are at the very core of the worlds banking and money
scandals (that have the entire world reeling).:damn:
Men who are never feed up with their own lies are
leading this destruction.:shifty: I'm sad to say the worse

It is clear to all to see my welcome here (on this forum) has come to an
end and therefore it is only a matter of time before I am banned for the
final time.
I must assure you all that my work on "Project ZeeWolf" will continue
from my web site
www.tanksimzw.com (http://www.tanksimzw.com)
From this point forward I would prefer you please e-mail me if you wish
to communicate with me or just want to keep in touch.
I will however check this forum on occasion and will reply to questions
about T34 vs Tiger but anything beyond that will be used to set me up for
banning.
Sincerely,
ZW
Aren't you being a tad over sensitive, ZW? ;)
No one's setting you up for a ban, that's all up to you and your actions you choose
to make.
Why I came to the thread and suggested this might not be the best place for political conversation
was because sooner or later, someone from General Topics would wander to this
thread and try and continue the crap that went on in GT. :yep:

Zee, I apologize for being this way but I don't want you banned, Heck, nobody wants you banned again.
I am just asking for a little understanding, I'm glad to have you back and I know for a fact I'm not alone with that sentiment. But I see the reason you got brigged coming back up. Frankly, I'd like to keep this forum as free of politikin' as possible. For every one person theres 3 people who disagree and I don't like breaking up arguments.
Heck, I even see what youre saying and I even agree with it to some extent, but, this simply isn't the place for it.
All I ask, Zee, friend, is that we keep the politically charged stuff to an absolute minimum and enjoy TvsT for the simple fact its a great game that you are working hard to improve. Thanks for your work so far man. I just wish I could afford to give it a try.
Wow, please, keep calm ! Please, don't ruin all the efforts from a great artist like Zee and let him in peace to make what he makes the best: up to date Tiger vs T34 for our great pleasure ! All the others considerations are flightiness.
Zee,
Got your email address, I really only check on the forum once or twice a week. If there are no posts from you then I just move on.
TvsT is just fantastic, you have my 100% support $$$ year after year. Best to keep the coms going via the email!
Its pretty easy to run afoul of things this day in age. Were not to far from the era of the 'thought police', in all likelyhood we are probably already there we just don't know it yet.

Hi LC,
The zoom level is now set at x7, the high zoom.
The alternate is x5 is the low zoom. In the low
zoom position you will see the muzzle brake at
the end of the main gun. This zoom capability
is on next years list. And will be first
introduced in the King Tiger.

A little testing.
In mission 3 there is a T34 wich remains green but is destroyed. So German AI is shooting this tank in pieces.
Just another thing is when a tank is hit in the rear, most T-34/85 are shooting back but engine compartment is burning. You need another second shot to destroy it.
Often when engine explodes the whole thank is exploding too (T-34/76) but the T-34/85 is showing no visual effect and described previous it will not explode.
PS: Thank you for this update

However, this new job will cause a significant time delay in new update

for now, I will still handle all support for Project ZeeWolf members as

Hallo Kameraden!
The best of all things good for you and your loved ones this Christmas.
As another year comes to an end and a new year begins I remember those
who endured the first Russian winter of 1941 and I read a few accounts of
their struggle in that terrible situation, I was reminded of the importance to
never give up or lose hope. A better day will come to those who stand firm
in the faith. Bad times may be ahead but so too are good times.
