recomendations for a beginer

Hi all,

i have been reading the forum some days and ufff its a lot information for a beginer. I have tried some mods, enable someones, then disable another...

Finally i got the crash to desktop problem. Now im installing the game again.

Would you recomend me a mod's list for me?

Remember im beginer... real navigation its too much dificult for me at now, im looking somethng like TDC manual, OH2, environment and grafics.

i play with 67% realism so don't worry

, i would recommend to start learning manual tdc and after that gather some info's on really clever tracking and targetting methods like

aob slide ruler, for finding aob of a ship
trevally scripts, like kiel outbound, after-torpedo escape and patrol
look at the charts (E) because they are AWESOME and with a ton of useful infos, including the one used to find the correct cell inside a patrol grid (when you are told to, for example, patrol AN0735 you have to use it)
the 3'15" rule (track the distance of a ship for 3'15" and divide it by 100 and you will have the speed)
search infos for the awesome tdw option editor (so you can activate snorkel, pm me for infos) and generic patcher (ton of fixes and additions)

feel free to pm me if you want basic infos as i watched many hours of tutorials for learning how to use well the uboat equipment

As i see, if i put mods by my own... the game crashes to desktop, so i have to put one of the published list. ¿that's true?

At first time, i take a very old mod's lst from one forum of my country and it runs ok, but i tried to update some mods like OH2 and DynEnv and now crashes all time.

I have just started downliading sobers list. i will need some weeks with the downloading limit

Hi petaduki

I think you will have some problems if you are going to use the mod list on Post #4.

1. Out of date mods.

2. Not in the right order.

3. Important mods missing that fix things.

4.MCCD main mod missing.

See my tutorial post #35 for the correct order.

See my tutorial post #38 for the download links.

Stormy's mod need the German language pack to be installed.

If you have not already done this from the dvd then there is a mod that can be added to your mod list.

I have the german voices in game instalation, dont have dvd, i have the game online in my uplay profile. I would like to put the voices of Stormy's mod, i looked in your post #35 THEBERBSTER, but i didnt see Stormy's mod in list, i only saw a reference that german language instalation is optional unless you use Stromys's mod (Note 1), do you know where i have to put it (in the list i post).

EDIT: Or a recomendation of another mod for the speech sounds. The most i like form Stromy's mod is the crew celebration when a torpedo hits.

I cannot use Stormy’s DBSM mod as I get ctd’s and sober does not use it so that is why you do not see it in Post#35.

You may be ok and not get cts’s, so worth a try.
