Default OH2 and TDW UI clash

I have reinstalled the game on a new PC, im trying to install IRAI, OH2 and OH2 patch.

They seem to install fine but i have the old SH% UI with no depth under keel commands etc. SO I went looking for a UI mod. I read in the into to OH" that TDW UI is ok to install but you must install it first using JGSME.

If i install it first or second I still get these corrupted menus that sit over me in the bunker screen and ingame and i can;t get rid of them.

Any suggestions to fix or other UIs to add?

Default They're fine

As long as you have the disk version of SH5

They don't reaaly clash as I and many others have been using them for a long time together. Install TDW UI first and then OH later. The problem you describe is usually the result of an incorrect option edit in TDW UI. You can insure that is correct by using the OptionsFileEditorViewer you will find in the Application folder of TDW's MOD. It is easy and should insure your menus work fine.

You might also want to also use TDW's Generic Patcher which you download here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=4591

Good lUck!

Yeh the disk version.

I have not edited any options in TDW UI. I just cut the NewUIS_TDC_7_4_2 folder and installed that first.

Why do you bothering your selves to install SH5 without TDW generic patcher and bunch of others essential mods in the first place. Without them SH5 is piece of unusable software and completely unplayable. Much better solution is to play SH3 or SH4 in that case, trust me...

And I really don't understand all the problems regarding TDW patcher?! You only have to start the application and show it path to the main SH5 directory few times. How hard it can be?

If the small depth under keel icon in the bottom left corner is missing it probably means that you are not running version v1.2

See my tutorial Post #7 for 7-5-0

See my tutorial post #23 for 7-4-2

Amazingly, despite updating the game, and definitely checking that the main menu said 1.2, when i loaded the game through the dvd instead of uplay it updated to 1.2. so the depth under keel command is there now.

ill try the other mods again.

Once the game is installed the dvd has served its purpose and should be removed.

It only needs to be used again if you need to re-install the game.
