Default Can someone have a look at my mod soup?

Here is my current list of mods im running... Im a little worried that the order in witch i installed them isnt right, and also get alot of conflicts, so maybe someone can tell me whats wrong, and maybe also what mod i still might need for a better expereience?...

Wow thanks mate, this will help me alot!

Few things tho:

DynEnv v2.9 - 2. Main Mod Low Resolution Patch
I already stumbled upon this mod, and installed some of it, but do i need this low resolution patch? I read its for lower spec pc's, but mine is ok (for now) or am i wrong?

Church's Compass Dials Mod v2.2 - what does this mod do?
Im missing the subexhaust and Real Environment - Revision_3 in ur reply, maybe u forgot to mention them,(ur forgiven) or do i have to choose between Real Environment - Revision_3 and DynEnv v2.9 maybe?

The other mods i think i understand, and im up downloading the missing files asap Ill post the end result in here!


And ofcourse did i give points to my torpede guy! Hes been doing a decent job so far

Hi Snoeky

I replaced Revision 3 with DE 2.9 just a personal choice for you to try.


The reason for this is a bigger selection of available environments that will tell you what each one does and with different resolutions.


The Brighter Nights that you want will be compatible.


No you do not need the LR resolution if your PC can handle it.


My tutorial post #119 lists all of the DE 28 mods.


If you want to keep R3 then replace in the DE mod position and put the Brighter Nights mod behind it.


The Compass mod will give you a splendid choice of 4 better looking ones and are much better than the one you are currently using.


The most popular one is number 2


Sub Exhaust may cause a ctd so I did not include it.


If you wish to keep it, just put it last and then see what this mod is going to over write in JSGME.

First of all, a big thanks for THEBERBSTER for helping me out, and for his job on his tutorial tread!!! You sir, are a great help for any new ppl to SH5!
You did a great job on your tread, must have taken a long time to put together.
You can really find everything on there.
Only drawback for me was that its sooo damn much to read!
So im glad you pointed out where to look!
There is so much in there that u dont know where to look if u dont get pointed to were it is...
Also the fast reply means to me this game isnt dead yet! still some dedicated ppl playing it, and willing to help newbies on there way.

This takes me to all te guys who's mods im using.
You all did a great job on making this game so much better!!! I cant imagine how much work this all had to be, so, respect!

To be honest, by missing out on the previous SH games (i did have a look around, because i bought the package from steam), i wasnt as disapointed by the game as many others, simply because i had nothing to refer to...
Yes it has bugs (and alot of it), but the subsim genre was 'new' enough for me to even enjoy the stock game at the beginning.

Eventualy, you want to improve the experience you get from the game, so you start modding it, and so you end up here on this great forum

For me the modding was new. never done it before with JSGME, but after reading alot i knew i needed that program.
Once i had it it wasnt that hard tbh, setting it up where my game was installed with a mod folder, and put the extracted mod files into that map, and then enabling them with JSGME. Peace of cake if u follow the instructions.
My problems started when running more and more mods. i read its important in witch order u activate them in JSGME, but how do i know? Yes in most mods there is a readme where they say compatible with this and that, but the more mods, the harder to put them together...
So ppl like THEBERBSTER helped me alot

Now the 'soup' im running atm (still need some files, i know, but so far its running ok )

A few questions:

1) I want to add the Open Horizon campaign mod, where do i have to put it? in front of everything? or last? any way to know, without having to try and error?
2) With this mod u have to start a new campaign right?

3) the DynEnv v2.9 mod:
When u choose 'DynEnv v2.9 - 11.a.I Sea Plants - Atlantic Kelp Forests (high resolution)', u also have
- DynEnv v2.9 - 11.b.I Sea Plants - Med Posidonia Meadows (high resolution)
and
- DynEnv v2.9 - 11.c.I Sea Plants - Coral Reefs (high resolution)
I have to choose one of these 3 right, or can i enable all 3? Im not sure...

4) I been looking at some videos from stoianm, about real navigation. i already have the file (it comes with NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_ByTheDarkWraith)
I would like to use the patrol scripts etc, but really want to keep my sub displayed on my mini map like in stock (were u actualy see ur sub) and not as a litle white cross, simply because its to hard for me atm to do without.
Is it possible?

You noticed in DE 11a 11b 11c anywhere there is series you just choose only 1


Check out my tutorial post #35 will help you when adding new mods for the correct order and post #38 for the download links.


Real Navigation relies on the Navigator to fix your subs position each time and of course you cannot use waypoints.


Not an option if you want to see your sub always on the map.


You enable Patrol scripts and Trevally's from the cogs icon on the right side of your screen.


You can run the tutorial from the main menu.
