You always did? I didn't even hear about Woodstock until I saw the movie a year later.
Reminds me of when my younger daughter was three. I got her something for christmas that neither I nor she had ever seen, and when she opened it she said "It's just what I asked for!"

I was stationed in North Carolina when Woodstock was going to happen. We got weekend passes with restrictions though, we couldn't travel more then 75 miles from base, and Woodstock was off limits,lol Anyone caught up there would be considered AWOL. Took all the fun out of it!

Like many people who were not born in '69, I discovered Ten Years After through the Woodstock film some time in the early 80's. Loved that band, sad loss.

The Woodstock film was a blessing and curse for Lee: it gave him and Ten Years after worldwide exposure, but it also pigeonholed him as "the guy who sang that real long song about goin' home" (as a younger acquaintance of mine once said)...
