Default [REL] BETA-Update for S3D - Particles in SH5

...this is a little update for the tool from skwasjer Silent3ditor. Its still in beta status, but seems to work so far.

http://rapidshare.com/files/363694792/Controllers.zip

...please unzip and copy -> into folder "../skwas/Silent 3ditor" overwrite existing files. make a backup before!

this is a beta release. the parser still does not read the new dat-files properly and you need to replace an existing particle controller with a "handmade" new one. this is much work, cause you need to copy/paste all existing particle data for the controller from the opened dat in goblin...

but its a beginning!

great thanks to SKWASJER! a lot of regards for the tool s3d...without this tool, we would never have come so far!

have fun

not what, who is the right term. Developer of S3D, a popular tool to edit files in SH3 (and 4, i assume).

Good job. Let me know when you manage to get all (or more) controllers in, I will make an 'official' download of it on my site. I've had a quick scan over the game files, and there don't seem to be many changes in the controllers, so perhaps I might update this afterall. Perhaps in a week or two I can look into it.

Now, if you could get the devs to post the .gr2 specs This is a different ballgame and not going be supported without the devs stepping in.

Most of the file appears to be from a standard Granny exporter.
2.8 something version.
The Granny SDK has most of the Specs in it.
It's the other stuff the Devs did that remains to be discovered.

Ship speeds, hit points, ammo storage info and so on are still in .sim and .zon files and do not rely on .gr2. I've used an ordinary hex editor which supports Intel hex type and have successfully managed to modify the values.

I'm saying this because when I used S3D with SH3/4, those were the main values I edited.
