Default Ever heard of Jonas Jacobsson

No?

I thought not.

I hadn't either, until a couple of hours ago.

Why should anyone know about him?

The reason is this:

Jonas Jacobsson, age 43, a swedish sport shooter, has now taken his 15th Olympic Gold Medal during the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.

This is, as of today, a new world record.

Michael Phelps, the american swimmer, has 14 as of this August.

So, Jonas Jacobsson, is now the person with the highest amount of Olympic Gold Medals in history!

Although, the Paralympics seems to be so overlooked these days, that I very much doubt that this will be a great attentiongetter.

I know most of you would say that this is a waste of space, and that I should stuff it.

But I think that this is a very welcome moment for Sweden, since our appalling (most of the time) results during the Olympics this year.

In any way, I'd like to say Well done Jonas! I'm proud of ya!
