I am in a new career in a type VII B.....I just stopped to refuel and take on provisions before heading back to St. Nazaire.....on my way up just west of Gibralter I was forced under by some Hurricanes....I ordered the alarm and it took forever to get under....I had a good head of steam going also.....and then I find it extremely hard to get past sixty meters for some damned reason.....well I finally level off at sixty five and then find that the sub will not stay trimmed at depth......my question is.....Is this a random problem generated by Sub Cmdr??? I have never experienced this behaivor before....and my crew is fairly experienced to boot......Just wondering...

Do you have Commander with the sabotage/breakdown checked?

Only the malfunctions.....Is this one type of malfunction it gives you?

I have had ahead flank affected by this, the malfunction option, sounds like that is it.
I always do a couple of checks before going to far, ahead flank and a Crash Dive to make sure those particular items are working properly ![]() |

I ran into a convoy later on and took a little damage from a Black Swan...but I let the water remain in the forward Crew rest area as it served as ballast....this was the only way I was able to stay at depth......

The VIIC dives like a rocket it does, compared to all the other bigger boats, but when it comes to sheer superspeed diving, you cannot beat the IID, it drops like a stone during a crash dive.

OHHHH
this is making some sense now - i had sabotage and mal****tions checked and the boat wouldne go to flank when selected... i would order flank speed and it would drop to ahead slow no matter what i would do. is this a malfunction that sh3 commander simulates?? |
