One aspect of the 'friends' piece did interest me, though, where one supporter stated that the right to take time off work to look after a friend who was ill should be introduced. Well, isn't this a good idea? How many single old people have no one to help when they are ill? Wouldn't they benefit from a friend who could take a few days off work to help? Seems quite a nice humanitarian suggestion to me.

In my mind they have not reduced it - you still have a choice to live your marriage as you used to. They have not imposed their view on marriage on you
