Default Tweak files for Sensors.dat

Hello,

yesterday, i wanted to edit the AI_sensors.dat and the sensors.dat in TT MiniTweaker. I Loaded the default stock tweak files. result: the AI_sensors.dat could be edited, the sensors.dat couldn't (values for range are like this: 7,255004E-39). i am using GWX 1.03. i think, i need new tweak files for editing the sensors.dat, is this right? and if so, where can i find them? (I think i found them long time ago in a post about tweaking the AI, but i cant refind them.)

second question: in the AI_Sensors.dat i can find each type of active hydrophones listed in the menu. but there is a general point called "AI Hydrophones". What is the difference between this general point and the list of types?

third question: what type of sensors are the "Type SS", "Type SP", "Type SG", "Type SF" and "Type SC"?

Most important for me is editing the visual skills of the AI and my own visual skill. Do i need more files than the two listed above?

Default check out "Stay Alert Crew Fix" by Rubini

Hoping to save you some time and effort, Rubini released a wonderful mod called "Stay Alert Crew Fix" on 3/29/07 which adjusts all of the critical files to improve visual and hydrophnone sensors.

Do a search for his post: [Rel] Visual and Hydrophone detection issue: a new workaround.

Hope this helps.

von Zelda, i have already tested rubinis mod, which is very good. but i wanted to see the values, he changed, that was the reason for my question.

JScones, thanks for your search, but it is the same problem as before. i changed the sensors.dat.txt with the content posted in this thread, but values are still stupid. this tweak file is for GWX 1.02, are there changes in the sensors.dat.txt made for GWX 1.03? and if so, is there an tweak file for 1.03?

sensors.dat was unchanged between GWX 1.02 and GWX 1.03.

I don't need to - some of the values have been plugged into the GWX-SH3Cmdr files, and they work fine.

Anyway, I no longer have mini-tweaker installed. Sorry.

All I can suggest is to ensure that you have not installed any mods that modified sensors.dat.

Strange, mine's ok, you sure you haven't got a SHIV version in there by mistake? Sort of thing I would do!
