I found him (her? Ship ought to be female, but with a name like Rodney...) sitting in the middle of a convoy, with one of those miserable storms going on. Visibility was down to nuttin'. I saw him in the fog, got myself situated by manuvering on the surface, then fired off a few fish at him. They hit.

Yes, and the note said, "Please take care of our boy, we can not afford him anymore. He likes uboats and always dreamed of being one of the crew." I accepted and started patrol #2 with the young Bernard

Another nice career of my friend, he was driving around the Baltic Sea and noticed the Tirpitz being there. He drove to the Tirpitz to get a close look, turned on time compression... and crashed right into the Tirpitz.
