To check which speed is best, after you are out of port set the speed at various values and ask the navigator what range you have at that speed. Make sure you are not in recharge mode when you do this. You will have enough fuel for two weeks.

Half of the time I play witout the limited fuel option because Im not wastin my time goin 8 or 9 knots when I have other thangs to do.
