Yes, torpedo circles are historically accurate, the problem is this routine is broken in the stock game, and still after the patches causing pretty all torpedos to circle. In TWoS this is fixed.
Good job

Hmmmm. Well it's cool if intentionally added, it has happened now twice in a row. I have been from Memel all the way to my current campaign in the Black Pit without having had this occur even once. If I am reading the contributors correctly Xenon seems to be saying it could be a bug, and Vecko is implying that it might be a realism feature added to TWoS content?

I don't think so

Re: Circling torps can't remember experiencing that even with stock game , other than Acoustic Torpedoes or Pattern Search type maybe, but that's not bug although it has been mentioned on another thread a while back . Is this any particular type ? I have come across Destroyers that don't react the Mission Scapa Flow has a couple there. Shouldn't happen too much tho

I actually do... Disabling torpedo malfunctions completely wouldn't be very realistic, especially if we know the fact that those things had happen during the WW2 more than once.

Torpedoes in TWoS are fine, if the game and the mod are installed correctly of course...

Circling Torpedoes are a feature added to WOS ! Really ? Malfunctioning is an altogether different matter

More like fixed and fine tuned by TDW's Generic Patcher and torpedo.sim entries...
You can check Generic Patcher's section for torpedoes and you'll see that it deals with "circle runner" calculations...

I only play with Auto TDC, I haven't seen 1 circling torpedo yet with the G7 first torpedos. But I have a lot to play still...Torpedos will be dud on a good normal rate, some will pass below target if I set depth to close to max depth as for the ID Book.
