Question regarding my mod list

So, I just got into modding SH5, largely because the stock game is, well, disappointing. so I wanted to know if these mods would work together: Equipment Upgrades by TheBeast; FX Upgrade by TheDarkWraith; IRAI by TheDarkWraith; MightyFine Crew mod 1.2.1; Open Horizons II v2.5; Reworked Morale and Abilities v1.1; and the tornmatte skin for VIIIC.

And now, for random questions:

If I start a new game after loading up these mods, will I still have a risk of CTD if I have other saved games in the middle of a patrol?

Are there any good mods to fix the TDC, or did I in my boredom fueled modding frenzy already get one?
