Maybe not the right place.

I know that there are fanatical Scottish people that have been asking/hopping for a independent Scotland

Will these people respect the result of a referendum, even if it' s a negativ result(stil being a part of the commonwealth or Union Jack)?

The hardcore element of Scotland won't but it ids the first time the SNP have had a majority vote.

I say let them go but they must take their fair share of the national debt, sort out their own currency and their defence.

Ok, so I'm just a dumb yank who probably couldn't tell you the difference between "England" and "United Kingdom"; but ahh, is Scotland thinking about leaving the UK to form it's own independent country or something?

I certainly don't consider you as some 'dumb yank' (and that's not a proposal to marriage) but yes...the SNP (Scottish National Party) are having their first taste of holding a majority in the Scottish Parliament so they now want independance.

You want to be ruled by Britain again? Rethinking your independance?

Can't say I blame you

Wow, at least that certainly sounds ehh... ground breaking? Here in the US, such a thing would be earth shattering. In fact, if my knowledge of history is correct, and I'm understanding this current event correctly, I think we had a somewhat similar thing happen here around 1861? It didn't go very well. Or would that be blowing it all out of proportion?

Your not getting rid of us that easily, Jim!

Pretty much everyone I know is voting NO due to the fact that the SNP can't find it's backside with a map on policy where independence is concerned.

To much wishful thinking in it's "White Paper" for most people's liking.

We want hard, solid facts, not rhetoric. And we aren't getting hard, solid facts in any way.....

Mind you, the YES campaign isn't doing a great job either. I think that's mainly due to Alistair Darling's patronising manner.

Mike.
