US jets 'bombed' Great Barrier Reef

(teasing, I am sorry it happened, but I do not see the pilots or the American people so destructive as to do it for laughs.)

I was irked by the article I read, and the outrage like we did it on purpose, or to amuse ourselves.

I didn't interpret the article that way in fact I doubt the pilots had much choice.

The emergency happened during the training exercise Talisman Saber, involving US and Australian military personnel.

However, the mission was aborted when hazards were reported in the area.

I read this article, and never said they did it for fun, I was outraged that it was twisted by the Oz politicians as if we did it out of blatant disregard. I even said they dropped them outside the zone as much as they could.

That is what irked me, and why I gave my response.

A "foreign power" you gladly suckle off of, except when to produce false outrage for political points.

I would think it would be the oppisite, as their accent is closer to yours, plus they are ( no offfense to Aussies, uhhhh....

But in worldwide reputation we are painted as warmongers, we eat alot of the UN bill, and provide a good majority of the troops and firepower, yet eternally defacated upon. for doing so.

The people hate it, but your government loves it, yet we are blamed for what your (not yours in particular Jim, I know your a Brit Gent, of high standing.) government allows us to do. like letting a " foreign power" practice on one of your uninhabited islands. Not every air mission is a sucess, the pilots went out of their way to drop outside the reef.

Once again, this is a money grab.

I love the greens here ,take a non story ,blow it way out of proportion and then use it as an excuse to demand Talisman Saber gets stopped because wargames are bad! ,one good thing once we finally get our election the greens will no longer be relevant ,people have seen what happens when that lot get the balance of power!
