hello all, im rather new here and working my way to the, what i hope, turns into the ultimate uboat sim. I've been trying to figure out this whole mod thing and have run into some snags. My game will crash to desktop after I try and load a new campaign (just after I choose whether to skip tutorial). It will load for a while but then crash and say that SH5 encountered an error. So anyways heres my mod list. I've chosen bits and pieces from other lists and combined them. I have viewed each ones threads for Q/A but still having problems.

(would like to install some kind of voice recognition mod in here too if at all possible)

If there might be a better solution as to the order of these mods, or maybe I have some that are not compatible? I have a fairly decent rig but could be just too much? I guess it would be better to ask the question this way: With these mods I have chosen, would someone be able to suggest to me a revised (working) list?

Thank you ALL for your time and patients. I love these SH sims so much (as long as they are modded right. ex. SH3 w/GWX) and I have such high hopes for SH5. Every mod I've come across I have fallen in love with. Please be patient with me

For better FPS add this; d3d Antilag - N.B. read the 'Readme.txt' file !

This is my final mod soup, there's not a lot, but it should be enough. However, I'm still experiencing CTDs. I recently had one while I was at TC 1024x. My PC exceeds the recommended specs and I have 8 gigs of RAM.

just one last question, anyway to set up 3-4 add on maps instead of just basic in-game, and <add mod map here>? did that make sense? lol

Glad it works
Maps no , but you can make short JSGME Mod profiles with just a few mods if you like.
Just disable all mods and then load the ones you'd like to have as a 'package'
and save it in JSGME (Tasks=>Save mod profile).
Name it so you remember what mods this small 'package' contains.

Well I found that I can actually just load the map I need at any given moment and just reload my save w/ new map, so far so good (no CTD's). What really amazing is I got all these mods and this is only w/ 4Gs RAM!
...and runs fairly smooth.

While I am here, I would just like to say a big THANX and well done to all the modders who put so much effort into making the SH series the games they should have been at launch. I have SH3, 4 & 5 and would not still be playing them if it were not for the modding community!!

I'm always confused if IRAI should be installed before or after NewUI. Having compared both mods it's clear that there is only one conflicting file
data/Objects/Sensors/UBoot_Sensors.sim
Examine the file Details of both files the one that comes with NewUI is the newer one
creation date 17.09.2011
weheras the one with IRAI is dated as of 30.01.2011.
As far as I remember TDW stated somewhere in the UI Thread to install always newest/latetest version of his mods last and that would be NewUI 6.8 or even 6.9 now
