The Brits weren't kind enough to supply a map in real life, so I'd hardly expect GWX to do so.

That being said, if you really want to take a peak, open up the campaign file with the mission editor.

The PDF manual also gives a great deal of info on where you can expect minefields. Enemy fields, as wel as friendly minefields. (port defenses) There should even be a slidedown sheet on the map with port drawings iirc.

But the mission editor has the final word.

There is, but only for friendly ports, as is historical. Actually I'm not sure they were informed of mine locations in friendly ports either. That's part of the reason for escort vessels.

Pretty sure that would have been a mine. By that time (mid 1940) they laid down a carpet of mines all along the eastern Brittish coast.

MY last encounter with a mine was rather fortunate. Only a large hole in the sub, a missing deck gun and lots of split batteries! (Near Dover, on BdU's orders.)

Besides map is far too inaccurate to check depth.

Wow,
This is great, I thought that the fathometer in SH4 was able to be heard and I never used it in the presence of the enemy. So I acted accordingly for this game. This is great info, because I'm not really too keen on the map for getting any depth data.

True enough, but I like to play as if they aren't. It's ping early and ping once (long before you enter contact range) for me.

I couldn't do it any other way.
