OKAY! I was looking for older Walter Brennan stuff and I stumbled on this little gem that I had never seen. John Wayne doing comedy with Red Skelton. Classic!

Now that is an old film Steve, regarding The Real McCoys I laughed at how Richard Crenna was a co star to Walter Brennan!

Not so old, but easily my favorite clip of Brennan...doing an impersonation of J. Wayne, and clearly enjoyed by Dean Martin.

Very good answer but not correct. The 1954 broadcast you posted was the first Coast to Coast color broadcast. But not the first broadcast. However, I think I will steal your answer for another trivia question at work.
![]() 10 Oct 1949 the Kukla, Fran, and Ollie show was broadcast using the RCA Dot-Sequential Color System Camera 22 November 1953 The Colgate Comedy Hour with Donald O'Conner is the first commercial NTSC color program. 23 December 1953 NBC transmitted the first commercial TV program on color film, on "Dragnet". The episode was "the Big Little Jesus". 8 July 1954 First TV network color series -- "The Marriage," a situation comedy with Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn
