Old TV series quiz

Who can guess what series this was taken?
I used to watch it when I was a boy, so it's old:

F Troop

Lol, F-Troop was my first impression as well, but the insignia is all wrong.

Looks like a "futuristic" space show. Not sure I've ever watched it. Don't think it is american.

Come to think of it, the lightning bolt could make it a later Space Patrol episode?

Edit: NVM, it is Rocky Jones, Space Ranger. Before even my time. http://psionguild.org/forums/images/...weapons/86.gif

So in other words, what you're saying is; "you're old?":D

Funny, I don't remember Rocky Jones, but I do remember Commando Cody.

It's American and I think it was 'Space Patrol'. It ran in the years just before I was born.

I don't know. I just wrote a couple of glowing reviews at Amazon for the 1943 Batman and 1948 Superman serials. Tacky? Yes. Cheesy? Without a doubt. That said, there was a simple earnestness about them that just tickles me. So innocent, yet so willing to try to be serious with what little they had to work with. I love 'em. :sunny:

Oh most definitely...I remember the space ships depicted 'inflight' travelling along a horizontal wire that was clearly visible and with what looked like sparkler fireworks emitting supposed tail pipe 'flames' :DL

What is most worrying today is that you believed it was pretty close to real at the first time of viewing :DL

My, my...

By the above criteria of age, I must be fully ancient...

I remember watching television in my Irish grandparent's home in San Francisco. My family didn't yet have a set so l would watch my grandparent's set which had a black and white picture. The set was in a cabinet that stood about waist high and the screen was flat on the top and bottom and rounded on the left and right edge. I remember watching the "Mickey Mouse Club", "Crusader Rabbit", the original Jack LaLanne exercise shows, short 15 minute programs with performers like gospel singer Mahailia Jackson, and, on Friday nights, the Gillete boxing matches ("Look Sharp!, Feel Sharp!, Be Sharp!"). The above picture reminds me of a serial that ran on TV in the 1950's titled "Captain Midnight". Does aayone remember that show. Jet Jackson had a sidekick who would always say "The name's Mudd, Ichabod Mudd, two 'D's'"...

EDIT:

"Captain Midnight" also went by the title "Jet Jackson"...
